Alice Cooper was my 1970s hero!! His art saved my fucking life..for real!!! If not for Alice, I would not have gotten my four year college scholarship to Iowa State University!! Damn straight!! Thank you Alice Cooper, YOU AND YOUR GUYS GAVE THIS LITTLE BRILLIANT THROWAWAY A CHANCE AT Life!! GOD BLESS YOU FOREVER!!!!!
Alice Cooper was the first "Rock Show " i ever attended back 1973 , Billion Dollar Babies Tour , also seen the band practice when they rented a mansion in Greenwich , CT in the seventies .
You saw them rehearse at the Cooper mansion ? Can you add any details... how'd that come about.... were all 5 guys there ? Please any memories would be exciting to hear !
Well it was over 50 years ago , here we go, a friend & Me decided to find the COOPER MANSION , & that we did , so went up to the driveway and we hear the Band all original 5. Suddenly a big dude approaches us and ask,s what the hell we are doing here? So we make up a story that we on the High School newspaper , we are armed with a portable cassette , and legal pads and pencils , so School is in , baby. The security tells us that we can,t meet the band , but can watch thru a window while THEY practice. Not bad , for a crazy bunch of 16 year old,s . That,s all i have to say about that!
@@robertmurphy5518 do you remember what songs they were practicing ?...and do remember Glen...did he have his White SG ? That's incredible...if you could share more...about what songs they were going thru...that would be great...but thanks for responding ! 👍🏻
Some rare pics in there!👏👏👏
GOD BLESS ALICE COOPER FOREVER!!!!!!THANK YOU!!!!!
bought my S/O lp in fall of 1973. It came complete with white under wear! got it in a K mart
It is still there, my good man..Alice respects his cronies!!!
This is FABULOUS !!! I love the ACG from this era so much. Young Alice very raw and in the throes of becoming big.
The song collaboration of “Is It My Body / Going To the Graveyard” is actually called “Is It My Body / My Very Own”. The 2 songs were only ever played together live on the “Love It To Death” and “Killer” 1971/72 tours. Alice used to sing these live back as far as 1969.
Great video pictures as well, some I haven’t seen. Thanks for the upload.
Correction: "Going To the Graveyard/My Very Own" is in fact the original middle section of "Is It My Body". It was deemed too long for the song when the album was recorded, thus the entire middle section was dropped. The song was still performed in it's entirety up until the Killer tour 71-72
That's right ! Hi Frankie ! ❤
@@philipholmes5884 Hi Phillip 😎
Always cool to stumble across hidden treasures like this
Wow, just stumbled on this.. been a fan for over 35 years.. it's gonna be a fun hour :))
I uploaded a few early live shows with excellent sound as well, from '71, '73 and '75. Alice at his best!
Alice Cooper followed ME for many years . Always in my head whenever I needed the dark themed but jubilant sound to lift myself from the mundane. His imaginative lyrical genius followed by such well structured musicianship was beyond most other bands reach. From a child riding the school bus with the newly released Schools Out in my brain right up until high-school with his release of From The inside..I never missed a single album and was also fortunate enough to see his live performances in the 1980s.
Clowning on Glen before "Luney tune" 😀
This is incredible!
Desperado sounds right from Easy Action! ❤
just shows how good glen buxton really was !!!!!!
Bob Ezrin whipped them boys into shape!
He fell apart again as soon as they started making money. Unfortunately, he was holding them back. Hooked on heroine never does anything good for a band.
Love me some GB but he can't play at all.
@@60zeller I have wondered if he was better on Easy Action. It appears Bob Ezrin pushing them to be more professional took all the fun out of it. So he rebelled.
Great sounding demos, thanks for sharing !
Love hearing the original "Coop".
I have all the demos from Lovin to death, killer and schools out. This appears to be a compilation of the best of the demos. It really does sound good. But my favorite part is the banter between the guys.
Awesome presentation, well done
like these lyrics to halo of flies better 6than the original version-thanx for posting -your the best!
That practice session @ The Cooper Mansion is pretty much a blur , but I do remember " Schools Out " the anthem of every teenager in the world at that time ! Hey peace Out , there is not much more to tell out of school !
The editing of the pics and songs is wondefull!👏👏👏
Neal smirh you are the greatest
What could be said about Bob ezrin ..the greatest . Even KISS was wise to have Ezrin produce their Destroyer album. It sounds like pure Ezrin. Alice was his best creation undoubtedly.
Raw and real!!
Wow! Thank you for this👏👏👏. God bless you and your beloved ones❤!
Thank you for sharing this great stuff!
WOW!
Alice is the Best
I will love you forever, my good man..little Angela❤
Thanks!
Show 🎸 🎸
Thank you for this
Does anyone know if the demos of I’m 18 and Is it my Body are pre-Bob Ezrin?
Glen’s guitar is wicked!
I’m fairly sure Bob recorded them on a real two real tape at the farm house in Pontiac, Michigan.
YAY
Does ayone know who recorded the beautifull female vocals in the song "Dead Babies" from "Killer"? Thank you❤
I think you will find it was a bloke called Reggie Vincent.
@@markpeddle4688 wow, thank you, man! How do you know about that?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
They don't sound much different than pretties/easy action period.
Geesh, was Ezrin that important
NO BLACK JUJU?!
No Black Juju.
It is what it is.
@@mlbloverock then it's not good enough, because the demo exists.
@@plasticweapon
So do many others.
Fucking good enough.
So sad they broke up in their prime...oh,what could have been.
Could have been? All Alice's group albums are fantastic, I just recently relistened to Schools Out,Killer, Love It To Death, and Billion Dollar Babies are all fantastic. Saw them at MSG on the BDB tour at 13, fantastic. Don't forget to say thanks to Frank Zappa for bringing us Alice.
I agree
I agree so much
Yes they were the greatest rockband in the world❤
I was devastated when they broke up... still am a little 🙁
