Hi guys as you know I’ve just reach 1,500 subscribers i would like to thank all the support you all have given me and I am over the moon with this so next week I will be doing a give away. this is 1 you don’t want to miss Bye bye for now
That wall of copper looks AWESOME 🤩 so beautiful so shiny many thanks for an amazing video or should I say videos the best copper pours I’ve seen in a long time👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊😊😊😄😄😄🤤🤤🤤
Kind of a random question, but I was wondering if I could ask you a question about the furnace. Would you be able to make small batches of charcoal by putting wood into a closed container with a couple vent holes for the steam/wood gases?
Lots of mind numbing hard work for you to complete but it produced s fantastic work I bet you are glad to be done with them hopefully you can move onto something different. Many thanks for making this video.
I’m thinking about melting my copper x I’m a plumber and have hundreds of pounds of it in scrap. Does it cost more propane than it’s worth to melt? And what size forge would be the best?
Hi there I would say it not cost effective if you just want to scrap them but if you find an alternative buyer you can make good money when it’s a pure copper ingot but if your just scrapping them then it will cost you more in propane. I use a 10kg devil forge
I bet you are glad that it's all done. It was a lot of copper though. Can't wait to see what you do next. Do you have a good U.K. supplier for kaowool and refractory coating. I melted mine trying to smelt cassiterite into tin. I won't be trying that in the devil forge again. Nice video.
@@meltingipswich WHAT?! NO SUPPLIER IN UK?! I cant believe it!! We even have at least 2 or 3 places in South Africa that has kwool and the refractory cement.
Hi just subscribed. From the UK and collect scrap copper myself (plumber). Got quite the haul now, a few hundred kilos! Wish i had a friend who would melt it all down for me lol. Will watch more of your videos tomorrow. If you need some scrap to melt for content let me know, aslong as i get it back 😂
Steam explosion. Imagine having a red hot saucepan with nothing in it and then dropping a tiny bit of water in it you get an instant steam reaction now multiply that by 10 - 15 but the moisture is inside the metal. You then touch it onto 1100°c molten metal that’s going to go bang 💥 Thank you for the question and I hope that answers it for you and thank you for watching 👍
That was insane amount of copper to melt! Sorry that you have such a tough time finding kaowool & refractory cement in the UK. I'm curious why that is a problem?

These are called 8oz graphite moulds
How to you keep porisity (bubbles) out of your larger pours? Looks great by the way.

Some do and some don’t you have to check with your local one
