In this video i'm melting a FULL mini trackdumper of scrap copper to solid ingots which are worth aprox 400$ with the current copper prices.
I shredded the pieces that didn't fit in the crucible with my shredder to smaller pieces.

I feel this is the perfect definition of the saying “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”
CrippledBox 11 I couldn't agree with you more there. It always amazes me how much potential gold so many people just thow away. 🤔
Well said
For example if one man poops the other man can make a toxic bomb and throw the bomb on the one man's face. 😤 I agree with your quote.
@@xvideodventurer4826 Because its not worth the consumers the trouble to extract the 0.05 grams of gold (Like 1 or 2 dollars worth) out of our electronics.
One man's trash can help another man make his own treasure

Haha mini bulldozer go Brrrrrrrr
I want one 👀
As of right now 54kg of copper is worth $474 USD
awesome
In Belgium 54Kg copper = 286.20 € or 336.57 USD 😉
@@Fotografie_Pascal Blame google.
@@RwingDsquad I've got it from Google, copper price Belgium ( € 5,30 per kg ), and € to USD conversion. 🤷♂️
@@Fotografie_Pascal your conversion was right, you just put a comma where a period should be.
Instead of $300,00 you should put $300.00
But that's the only issue :3
You are really hardworking man, salute ❤️
Good job Ben! Also, that little backhoe/dumper is really cool...
I find watching your shredder very relaxing. How long did it take you to collect all the copper?
I love watching Ben's videos 😁😬 they are so calming 🤪🤪
Wow you all Melt copper like a pro thanks for the video 👍👍👍👍
Hey PressTube! Love the video/channel like always! Keep it up stay safe hope you reach 3M subscribers and have an amazing afternoon! 😁👍
Melts in minutes 🔥🔥
One doesn’t experience self-transcendence, the illusion of self only dissipates🔻
Those copper ingots are MASSIVE! WOW!
You must be getting close to reaching 3M subscribers, I would like to congratulate you early.
Happy late April Fools!
What an awesome find‼️🤩
Man those are really beautiful looking bars 😍
I want to know what you do with the copper after you have melted into bricks? Do scrap yards take the bricks or do you sell to people doing copper casting?
It’s so cool how you have the melting part and then the shredder part my two favorite it ms I could arch all day long lol
Never forget to use an oil or similar viscose (non reactive) coating to prevent oxidation of the coppers surface! This will make sure the copper can be sold for full price as clean ingots are more valuable.
...nobody cares if copper is clean lol. The scrap yard isn't very picky about copper and other scrap metal being clean and Shiney lol.
@@Frosty708 Bright copper gets $1.57 more per pound where I live in PA.
@@Frosty708 copper sells at all different levels
Alright 👍 PressTube A quad monster ingot cast, keep up the melts.
He’s getting his money’s worth from that mini dumper 😂
Yes, I did not know Tonka made them that big.
Wow! That is really impressive, the biggest one I ever cast was 10KG. Great video. Thanks.
How does that shredder do on #1 wire? I ask because I don't like feeding wire into the crucible. Folded, tied or whatever it's hard on the hands.
Where did you get your grabbing tools? The one you use to tip the crucible looks top quality?
Can you use the thermal camera to see how the water is heating up when put the ingot into it
Hi Ben awesome videos BTW, 1 question when your crushing the items through the metals Jaws I saw the the blue motor your using where did you get that may I ask? From a manufacturer? Cos you might be a it surprised :)
What was the first song?
Also I’ve had problems pouring my copper in steel molds. I get weird Swiss cheese air bubbles which creates like vug holes?
I bet that machine is such fun to drive. Can just imagine popping to the supermarket with one of them 😂
@Press Tube stfu bot
What is the stuff you take out after you melt the copper before you pour it what is that and what do you do with it
I recently found an old aluminium window frame, melted it down in my 18 inch cast iron pan(I’m not sure entirely what it actually is I just found it at a charity shop) over a bonfire and it is just as satisfying as this
Hi your setup is excellent how much did the furnace cost
This seems really fun
Ah so nice to look at your work. But i have one Question? In this Vidio.... What and where from is the Audio-Record? Very nice....
5:20 that backsplash of forbidden orange juice must've been scary!
I need one of those shredders. Looks amazing. What kind is it?
so entertaining :]
Hey mate, where are you from? Just curious. Good job with the melt. I liked watching you chopping the larger pieces in that machine you have. New sub. 👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘
Respect for you ....from Romania !
I'd love to know where all of your scrap metals come from.
You got owned by that crucible.
Why do we quench our ingots? I tried to machine a quenched ingot and the grains were huge and it basically fell apart! Is it just for show? Slow cooling should leave a more usable copper. Any one have thoughts on this?
neat !! love the color of copper !! awesome video !! keep up the great work !!
On a lighter note, who ever said "a watched pot never boils" was totally lying. Time lapse for the win
good vid i tried ur setup worth it 1001%
Cool video ! Does quenching a hot ingot do any harm? Having worked with lots of copper wire and pipe and knowing how it work-hardens if flexed more than a few times, I kind of have this gut feeling that quenching to rapid-cool isn't really a great thing to do. And ... that is an AWESOME shredding machine !
Wow like video good too see u have fun again
Love it 👏
Super cool!
Not going to lie, at 8:05 I thought he was going to make a bar of water for a second.
Oh what I could do with all this great equipment! !
Where can i get the shreader love that
Oh, how much for that grinding machine and the heater or crucible or plans avail etc.
I am curious how long it took from first melt to final weigh. Also how much slag was taken off.
stupid question, but dissolving these things in your garden, does not release toxic substances or anything else for the environment? thanks
What are you doing whit the bars after melting do you sell them
that was sooo intense🥰
How long does it take per batch. Then how much energy as in propane ect.
That little tractors a cool toy.
Haven't watched a video from this channel in a very, verrry, long time. Man, I used to live this stuff, idk what happened
@Press Tube stfu bot
Nice how much is that set up is and how much money do you make a monthly? For melting
8:50 Leet!
Why do I find this so satisfying when I see people melting s***
I have to say that is the biggest one I’ve ever seen even the big stacker doesn’t have one that big I want one now
Please tell me the size dimension of ingots & how much weight of 1 ingots?
May i know where to buy this crusher machine that u using? And how much is it?
That is one BEAST of a furnace. Please tell me the specs
Hi can you polish an ingot to make it shiny and beautiful in a future video?
Where did you get all this copper scrap from? Collecting scrap metal is doing by gypsies and they are working hard and I can barely find any good. :)
That pot had a beautiful patina
Just curious but why didn't you shred the copper you was melting? Wouldn't it been some what easier to melt
what are the wafer like copper bits?
Wanted to see what happens if you put a little ascorbic acid in the water that the copper got cooled in, because it has anti-oxidant properties. Look up ascorbic acid + copper sulphate.
Another question, i
Do yiu get money per pound when it’s in a ingot.
I would not want to find out how little resistance that shredder would have crushing bone..
This guy is a real blacksmitter
about 120 lbs. curious, other than saving space does melting your copper add value?
Can someone tell my what metal melter that is I wanna buy one
I enjoyed this. Salvaging. What's the name of the first song?
You should heat up the moulds before pouring, it'll prevent moisture explosion..
AWESOME 😎
I Love your Script shredder plant 😊 i Wolldecke also like tu have one like that .
What mold is that how many kilo can it carry ??
Do i smell the new shredder
where can i get that mould?
You should try to make obsidian it’s made by rapidly cooling lava
In next video we need to see it polishing.
Still love you’re intro💪
Good video
Przepiękny wynik ! Pozdrawiam 👍🏿🇳🇴🇵🇱
Where i can buy that's machines to shreeding?
Super copper !!
Does the shredder shred the ingot?
Where did you get all the scrap?
Most likely frm a reno site I think? Cus it's hard to get all these scrap wires and pipes
And what Youll do with those?
Isn't some amount of copper lost to CuO / Cu(OH)2 from directly cooling it in protic solvents like water?
Can you please elaborate on this. Not a chemist here just interested.
@@vicferrari9380 Hot copper gets oxidized in water and is thus "lost" (Kind of like iron, though copper is MUCH less reactive than iron, therefore you only ever see the green oxide layer on copper after long exposures or at high temperatures)
He needs to shine those up
I love that one of them weighed "1337"
Mag ik vragen waar je die mal vandaag hebt? Prachtig formaat.
7:23 The forbidden juice
This machine where can I get it sir?
Most recycling centers won't buy copper ingots
