Awesome brother dross you put in the bin slag you remelt. I Always smash the slag to get as much dross off as possible. Some just crumble next to nothing. Recent I have started laying it all out flat to make it easier. I seem to be putting less slag in the jar at the end. Still brother an amazing job just collecting that amount of cans omg. Looking forward to the next episode brother

I’m just going to throw it all in and melt it all and see how much I can recover from it. I must admit I’m not looking forward to that melt as I don’t think I’m going to get much from that lot but I guess every little bit go towards the stack.
      Thanks mate 👍

Ace vid as usual and great to see someone in the UK doing this. I just have a couple of questions:
    1) where do you get your cans from?
    2) how much gas do you use in a melt of this size?
I find it really interesting and wouldn’t mind giving it a go but would like to understand costs and basics first. Ta.

Hi there I have cans given to me left right and centre as people know I do this I get so much stuff offered to me and I have to turn down so much.
The gas, on this melt in total with the two videos I used a whole 19kg can of gas

I’ve considered doing this myself but here we get 10 cents per can when we bring them back to the store.

That’s good money for cans. You would get less for them if you melt them down but it’s a good fun hobby

It bubbled up again! It did that in the last video too. Wait. This is the one from the last video. I may be an idiot. Nice melt.

No. I think your right looking back on things it’s normally one of them that do it very often. It was suggested to me to mark this ingot next time it do it and see if it’s the same one each time.
      Thank you 👍

Be careful my friend, if it was any other metal, even a drop of water vapor could cause a serious explosion.

I know. I do warm the moulds up but I obviously didn’t warm them up enough

Yeah I’m guessing I’ll be lucky to get that but I just want to see how much I get from it as I know I would get questions like that and people would want to know

Don’t you have to cipro that silver plate to get pure silver? It seems to me what you produced is worthless. No insult intended.

Your correct but that’s what I was asked to do by a friend. If it was mine I would have gone down a different route. Thank you for watching and commenting 👍
