Hello all you beautiful people👋🏻Something a little bit different in today's video something I haven't done before and a great gift from my friend. A copper crab cooker with a hole in it so why not add it to the stack. So sit back take a break and enjoy today's video and I will hopefully see you all next Friday😁
That was pretty neat! I had a question if it hasn't already been asked. I've seen other people use WD-40 as the release agent instead of graphite powder since it creates a more even carbon layer for release (and fewer holes). Is that something you've tried, or would look into trying?
1 Star for Content. Everything ties in nicely 1 Star for Expertise. You handle all aspects of melting professionally 1 Star for Interaction. You reply with your fans extremely well! 1 Star for Keeping us watching. Now with your holiness. Prior was BigSnackD 1 Star for All you do. Kept us in the loop during the move. Sharing video of Ingot and Bullion (a personal matter). Sharing yourself and what you do as well as showing others "how to" just by an e-mail. It speaks VOLUMES of the type of man you are. Keep up the GREAT work!
Thanks for replying to my email this week. Got lots of aluminum from our fleet mechanic. The company that use to come by and pick up all the scrap hasn't been by in awhile. The pile was huge! Mechanic is happy pile got smaller. Free metal for me! Probably a hundred pounds.
Been watching these videos for quite some time now, and I have to say: I never realised just how much I love copper until I found these melts. The colour of the metal, the blues and greens from its oxides, how liquid it gets when molten, and the sound of that pour. It's just such a wonderful material
Ya never cease to amaze me with all that you have melted down. I would never in my 52yrs would have imagined all that you have recycled through your videos. Truly a green keeper and scrapper!
You said you would finish things differently, and you delivered. I think it's unique and evocative; it's something refiinded and something elemental. Well done!
I love the consistent chaos of the brick after cooling the bar(s), the tossing of the shoes, and the scavenger hunt for the bigsnackD break. Also Ingot and Bullion best bois
I love that you made that storage room for your bars with the chained skeleton. I randomly became interested in melting and casting this year I’m gonna get my first forge soon. I’m excited to build up my storage of metals and make my own treasure room
Well when you decide to purchase one definitely hit me up on my email in the descriptions of my videos and I’ll send you a heap of start-up info and a discount link for the furnaces 👊🏻😁
Been following the channel for quite some time because I find you soothing. Everything about your videos just...resonate with me. Something cathartic about watching waste become treasure. Raw materials recollected and stored for the future. Keep doing what you are doing. I believe it's more important than you know.
I so look forward to these Friday video's, best way to start my weekend. I really enjoy all the melts and especially the journey you take us on to find melting material. Oh and the search for food is brilliant!!! I don't recall ever seeing you do a two-tone texture before, very cool!!! Thanks for always sharing Ingot & Bullion throughout your video's.
Another awesome start to the weekend with BigStackD. Such beautiful weather, a total contrast to the overcast and cold I have to deal with. Along with Bullion and Ingot, as well as the clever ways D has a snack, it's time well spent. 😁👍
Got my forge two years ago after watching you. All my friends get a kick out of it. They donate metals to melt down. They love your videos. The window screens was funny!!!
Nothing like ignoring my morning conference call to watch a BigStackD video. I don't think I've ever seen you polish the freeze lines on a copper bar before, it looks awesome!!
The way you started the video with the "hotline" made me laugh. Not sure why, but I loved it. Thank you for the laugh. The boys seem happy, they have so much more yard to play in, they can see more things, the new place seems a great move forward. Love how the shop is looking, it really came together. Merry Christmas D!
Bruh....this video is life changing. The girlfriend barely tolerated the garage being a junkyard full of curbside stuff that I scrap when I have time. After watching this video with me, she wants a bar like the one you made. She's finally on board with my "silly hobby". Thanks Bro.
LOL, I am thoroughly convinced that you can, and will, melt anything that can be melted! I was collecting quite a bit of copper back when the price was at an all-time high. But I don't have what I need to melt it into a big brick of pure copper.
I must say that that was one of the more striking finishes on a bar that you've produced. Almost looked like a mountain / horizon landscape. Just awesome!
Always nice to look at and constantly funny. - When I was 14 years old (1984), I was very busy with it. I also still have a small treasure trove in the basement. For many years no longer looked at. I have looked now actually and found there: Approx. 70 kg tin, 165 kg copper, brass & bronze in ingots, as well as a few small bars of silver, zinc, bismuth and indium. - Nice - Thank you
Hello, boys! 💛 🐾🖤🐾 And there it is, the beautiful bar that put BigstackD over the top! How fitting that it's copper, and the pour was so pretty we saw it twice. Congratulations, and I for one loved the ride. Absolutely stoked for the next milestone! 🎉🍻
Honestly the pacing and general format you have landed on for these videos is pure class! I look forward to these every Friday morning while I "do my Friday morning paperwork", it is impossible to be stressed out after watching these. Just out of interest, are you close to debuting the kiln?
i’m not far off firing up the kiln I’ve just been really busy organising Christmas parties and haven’t had time to learn how to use it just yet but it will definitely be coming soon I’m hoping👊🏻😁
@@bigstackD Hey, I saw last month where a Frenchie named "Winston" won Best In Show at the 2022 National Dog Show. He could take Westminister in February. 🏆😀👍
I can not help but think you would be fantastic at metal art sculpture. Have you ever considered trying your hand casting art pieces? You honestly have all the technical skills and aesthetic talent to be a success.
Well when I learn how to use my kiln and fire that up I’m gonna start to do some more intricate pieces and not just bars and coins. I’m sure it’s not too hard to learn and I can’t wait to start using it as I want to make the Indiana Jones fertility Idol out of Nordic gold and copper👌🏻😁I mean I already did it in aluminium bronze but it was a bit pitted and not the finish I wanted although that is still my favourite piece
You are genuinely one of my favorite RUclipsrs. I follow so many creators, but have been watching you for about 2 years. You are still the only one I specifically set time aside for on Fridays. Being on the US East Coast, your videos go live ~3am, so I can't always watch the moment a video is posted...but I always watch in the first 24 hours or so. You truly are one of the underappreciated greats, and I am SO glad I found your channel! ❤️ Technical question out of curiosity though...I've noticed that sometimes skimming the slag from a melt, you use the metal stick thing you use in today's video, but other times, you use the slotted spoon. Is there a reason for that choice, or is it just whatever you feel like using on a particular day/melt? I've always been intrigued by fire and molten metal, but I'm clumsy as hell and quite injury-prone, so it's just safer to live vicariously through you! Lol. Thank you for all your hard work bringing us all amazing content, congratulations on the new place, and please give Ingot and Bullion lots of hugs, kisses and pets from me and my husky Forest! ❤️🐾😊
I think it depends on the amount of slag. You may notice that when he's melting aluminum, there's a ton of slag, and he always uses the spoon, but with other metals, like copper, there isn't nearly as much slag and he uses the stick
Yeah mate just like Draco said it really depends on the metal .With copper there is such a minimal slag that sometimes I don’t even skim it I just leave the bits of ash and stuff in the Crucible and just pour carefully but with aluminium and brass it’s normally got quite a few scoops so I used to big spoon. The slotted spoon is really no different than a normal spoon which is what I had on hand at the time. You just need to make sure to heat them up nice and hot so it will stop the metal sticking to them👍🏻😁
I could just imagine how much stuff you’ve prevented from going to waste from all your melts. These videos show people what trash to treasure really is
awesome channel love what you do it makes my Friday night thank you so much. I have had my Furness for 6months and have not melted a thing. I get very apprehensive i can never find what i am looking for on the internet Ridgerdizer in powder form but anyway enough of my wofferling on look forward to next Friday night

Really nice effect leaving half the way you did. Looks like rivers, or tree branches. Great job once again. Wondering what your plan is when you hit the tonne? It's not to far away.
I’ll keep going buddy I just want to have an achievable goal I could reach over the next year or 2 plus I always wondered what 1000 kg of bars and coins would look like but I want to find something big to get me through the 1 t Mark maybe a 600 kg motor or something like that to meltdown at the 999 kg mark👍🏻
The first video I ever saw from this channel was about 3 years ago when you melted the screens on your house, I was drunk and saw it at 2am and been hooked since it’s so satisfying to watch.
Copper looks so gorgeous in liquid form. Looks like that hanging hot dog kit was incomplete... no mustard! OMG, I love the Superman theme at the end. Dog zoomies are the best.
Beautiful pour. Always love to see you pour copper. Love your trailer. Always reminds me of my own stock trailer. My grandpa hand-built mine in the 40s. I love having it. Good reminder of him.
Hey BSD, love your videos! I have a tool suggestion. Try investing in a pair of straight angled sheet metal snips. That way you won't have any loss when you have to cut up either copper or aluminum thin sheets like that. There also won't be any trying to locate and sweeping up the precious metal dust. Less work.
You are now 6 lbs over a Customary Ton (2000 lbs flat). You've been sticking with your guns through and through, and it's very clearly paid off in seeing that beautiful treasure room. Love seeing what you've done thus far and hope to continue doing so. great, it was good
I love the green fire!
I've the same in our garage.

Your treasure trove is now over 1 ton imperial. xD
this man has one of the most impressive sock collections, I'm not sure I've ever seen the same pair twice
I've noticed a long time ago and you are right never saw the same pair twice
I agree
@bigstackD Do you change your socks once a week? Not putting you down, but you have an amazing collection if you do!
It's amazing how far $4 will go on ali express...

Seeing those Frenchies enjoy the new yard is so awesome. I love the pupper breaks.
Ingot and Bullion are some of the bestest puppers. ❤

Watching you work is so calming. Sometimes I'll watch an episode more than once.
I love that we got a double cheers in this vid!
Im impressed Bigstackd is always able to find food anywhere.😂👍
Bigsnackd 🤣
"Let's get this crab pot home and melt it"
Gets home.
"Oh my it filled with crab on the way home."
I really like how you finished the bar off so you can still see the ripples from the pour, I think it's a wicked look.
It is always a pleasure to know your videos will be here each week bro.. I have enjoyed them for over a year near 2 now 😀
Probably one of the most beautiful bars you've ever made! Love when the boys show up! 😄
Bullion and Ingot look happier in their new yard.

If you get it just hot enough, it has the viscosity of water. I finally just got used to seeing it pour so fluidly, no pun intended.
Really like the polished side to the rough side great look to it
This Cu bar was more than just elementally satisfying. Extremely pretty, too!😀
Those videos are my "Friday guilty pleasure" - I love the whole thing - the dogs, the "ambience", the cool little Easter eggs!
Ya never cease to amaze me with all that you have melted down. I would never in my 52yrs would have imagined all that you have recycled through your videos. Truly a green keeper and scrapper!
and- thank goodness that the cooooolest beer always waitin' in first row😉
The guys look like they are having a ball at the new house, they sure are cool fellers awesome 😎 piece.bigger stack please 🥺
Today I realized that I've been watching your vids for 4 years every week at least. Time is damn crazy. U did a nice job!
Thank-you for all that you do to bring these videos into the world.
You said you would finish things differently, and you delivered. I think it's unique and evocative; it's something refiinded and something elemental. Well done!
the boys are the burner in this vid crazy cool dogs 😉😉
I love the consistent chaos of the brick after cooling the bar(s), the tossing of the shoes, and the scavenger hunt for the bigsnackD break. Also Ingot and Bullion best bois
You don't need a dog timer. We love seeing what the boys are up to.

Your vids are the best start of the weekend😀 Have a nice one.
I absolutely cannot wait for a copper dust episode. The purest of pure. BTW a perfect touch on the finished product! Cheers, mate!
You are almost close to you target BigstackD, keep it up!
Looks like the boys are enjoying the new place. Looking forward to you reaching your goal.

Oh nice finish on this bar! I love the contrasting textures! Great idea. Nice to see the doggos enjoying the new place.
Another awesome start to the weekend with BigStackD. Such beautiful weather, a total contrast to the overcast and cold I have to deal with. Along with Bullion and Ingot, as well as the clever ways D has a snack, it's time well spent. 😁👍

Yet another awesome video. And the boys running around at the end, superb!

Friday is our trash day. Also recycling. A lot of the recycling is aspirational, frankly. But here is a guy who is actually recycling. You inspire us.

He's a top notch you tuber 💯👍
The thing that truly takes me back, being a somewhat long-time viewer, I don’t think I’ve seen the same pair of socks on this man twice
YES! THE MELTS ARE BACK FOR A WEEKLY SPIN! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 TELL BULLION AND INGOT I SAID HI ❤️❤️
I totally dig that t-shirt of yours "Buffalo Bill's Bodylotion" :D
Nothing like a good copper Melt, add in a perfect pour and it starts this Friday off even better!
I'm happy to see them enjoying all that free space!

I was collecting quite a bit of copper back when the price was at an all-time high. But I don't have what I need to melt it into a big brick of pure copper.

Great job.
And I love the old telephone... Awesome! To think, those were everywhere.... Now they're collector's items....

We need more of the melting hotline
Love the Rotary phone. Some youngsters probably still wonder what that was.
Love the content, keep it up. It's amazing how a 2.5kg copper pot was just lying around unused. Imagine how much that would cost today!

Love the finish on that bar, the half polished and half pour waves is beautiful. Great video again :)
Awesome video as always and looks like the boys are adjusting well to their new home.

Man that Bar of copper turned out amazing! The contrast on it was really really cool. Another awesome melt.
What a random item to melt.
Also? I love the classic garbled voice on the phone, nice touch mate.
Love the finished look, very cool. Thanks for bringing the boys along! The clown in the corner though, gave me a wee fright!
2023 the Year of the bigstackD Tonne.
Another great video. Always love it when you melt copper at least that beautiful green flame!!!❤
Ah yes!! The Pringle socks, great selection sir!
Love to see the doggies having more room to roam.
Less work.
I liked the semi unfinished look to this bar. Great work!
The phone call bit was great. Keep meltin'.
