Honestly? In every conversation vaguely mention it? Like how you give cats new food mixed with their old food so they can digest it? It helped when i was starting to learn it haha
I usually just point out that public libraries would be called communism if they were presented today and then a lot of people click. Or community gardens. Just straight up real world examples of community and sharing. That’s how you casually explain it without the more in depth conversation, it’s how you get them used to concept.
@@teritt you could also point out that capitalism is killing those very important community resources, we don't put nearly enough funding into public libraries, lack of accessibility to public libraries (lack of public transportation and the promotions/necessitation of terrible work-life balances also contribute, and are also results of capitalism, those arent profitable so of course they aren't prioritized) As for community gardens, zoning laws, HOAs, and other various legal restrictions make it hard for people to actually build and upkeep those (because capitalism)
Y’all need to stop comparing marginalized identities. They go hand in hand. Saw a disabled person complain about how people do “so much” for queer/black pride and nothing for disability pride. Stop. We should absolutely be fighting for disability visibility/acceptance, but don’t point fingers at other groups and go “well THEY have it, why can I?”. This is a battle we’re all in.
For real. Like yeah, we went more disability pride and visibility--but that doesn't mean tearing others down. As a queer disabled person and anti-racism activist, I would say there is room for all.
The fact I didn’t know there was a disability pride month until this year is proof enough that they aren’t getting enough attention. I talk for queer pride but I cannot speak for disabled people. If anything boosting the voices of disabled people during this month is essential to helping all of us.
The right want us to divide, we're making it a lot easier for them to kill us all off when we're already fighting each other, it's why so many white women vote against their own self interest because yeah sure they want to take away reproductive rights but at least they're racist too and losing bodily autonomy might just be the price to pay to ensure other people who aren't like you are suffering, quit that shit, ally with your fellow marginalized person regardless of them being the same flavor of marginalized or not
The one at the end. The best way ו can put it is, ו feel like there's gravel in my stomach. He wanted to study biology and liked to spend time with animals, yet he drags people around like trash bags and chokes them out when they call him out for it? For shame.
8:40 HOLY SHIT! You never see videos of two spirited people living their lives! If there’s any two-spirited people in the chat I hope y’all are living your best lives
Hi, not part of a tribe but my family is quite proud of our obvious indigenous lineage, I'm so happy we are being represented more outside of our own celebrations and things we do that are attached to white "traditional" views. These videos bring me so much joy.
12:14 oh my god thank you for the stitch. Absolutely. What a lot of y’all don’t seem to get is being punk means you’re ready to fight. Having an anti-88 patch means I’m willing to genuinely put my life on the line for that. You can’t be a punk and a coward.
Literally why would you rip off an anti-88 patch in the first place? It's literally AGAINST those people, why are you, as a somewhat self aware human being, actively supporting hate towards other human beings? 🤨
Can we PLEASE stop using terms like crazy, insane, psycho, narcissistic, antisocial, etc. These are terms for specific nd/used against nd people. Just bc you’re autistic doesn’t mean you get to use these terms. Stop.
Also people that say they're used to saying those kinds of the words as an excuse to not change their language simply don't care about those groups. I used to use those words to describe something wild or bewildering, but as you can see it's really not that hard to just use the actual words that describe what I'm trying to say instead of words used to address neurodivergent people.
cops are such bastards istg i just got back from the orthodontist and when my mom was trying to park there was a cop parked in the middle if the goddamn parking lot and my mom tried to get them to move their car so that people could get into the lot and they straight up ignored her. why were they there? to arrest some random guy who was walking in the parking lot next to the one they parked in. there was FIVE COPS there persuing one guy who was just walking around. i don't know what that guy did but jfc that's some ridiculousness
"I'm Matt Wilshire, as mayor, I will invest in school safety. That means well-trained school resource officers working with police to get illegal guns off the streets." This is a ad that I have repeatedly gotten on RUclips for someone who is locally running for mayor. Here's the thing, cuz we are still suffering from the aftermath of the Nashville shooter, many a politicians or potential politicians have been using it and the topic of guns as a point in running for office. What they don't acknowledge is the fact that our most recent shooter legally bought all seven guns. Yes that's right, neither school resource officers nor police could have prevented that purchase, because we have so few restrictions. They always focus on the wrong problem, and that's because the NRA has some pretty deep pockets and their hands right down the pants of any politician that they can buy.

Had an interesting talk with my older brother (12 years older than me, works at Cargill to try and use the money for good things--using the bad wealth to help others) and my Dad (works in Insurance law--to sue insurance companies for doing dumb shit) about the Affirmative Action ruling. They both seemed to agree with the result--but not because they hated affirmative action, but because they thought it could be replaced by something more intersectional that also included more than race categories, like intersectional identities that include disability status, queerness, gender, etc. I don't fully understand all of how it worked in practice, and I think that affirmative action wasn't perfect but helped in many ways--but I thought this was an interesting take. I doubt this supreme court would ever work with that version of it, but I thought it was interesting that they went for the intersectional approach. As a queer female disabled person, felt nice to know they actually agree with intersectionality. Edit: Just wanted to add to this due to a comment from @goblinguy3103 that made a very good point I 100% agree with, but did not mention above. I don't think anything with affirmative action should have been stripped away before something else (like the intersectional affirmative action brought up above) was put into place first. Since what we have right now is basically no support system rather than two going on, the bigger better improved one uplifts others so the other can be fixed or removed while the bigger better one evolves more and is put into practice. My Bro and Dad had no idea what that would look like and agreed it would be difficult to implement, which is kinda where that train of thought was left. I do think they had some problematic thoughts on the topic (such as thinking most Asian Americans dislike affirmative action when as far as I can tell from statistics that is false. Even though there are mixed views in the polls), but overall if we talked again and had a longer conversation they would agree.
@@goblinguy3103 I 100% agree, since right now there is literally NOTHING there to help and support others. I brought that up during my convo with my Bro and Dad as well--and it was kinda just met with kinda ignoring it because they didn't know how that would look or how it would have been put into place. They are not as politically left as me, and tend to need solutions said first before talking about what the problem is in full (which baffles me, since I feel like you have to know it before you can really discuss solutions, even hypothetical ones) but they are left enough that we get along and I don't feel instant rage. I think if I brought up solutions they would get it more.
My concert is today ^V^ My director said we didn't need to go all out for concert, so naturally I will. I have added a iridescent broch and sparkly leaf earrings my halmeoni gifted me. Might also add a pretty necklace with pink, green, and a pretty charm at the end.
I recently (as in the last 2/3 weeks) got a new vocal tic that's just the word autism (and sometimes pointing at the same time) and when I was hanging out with friends earlier this week it kept pointing at all of the autistics that were there which is very funny because my "no bitches" vocal tic mostly likes to target my friends who are in relationships so I'm not sure how that logic works

Hey, comrades! I finally got my day of rest :D Reminder that taking a break and resting is OK. There's nothing wrong with having to take a break. It's completely natural, and it's something everybody needs once in a while. Our bodies need time to rest and relax. We need time to unwind, or else we could burn-out. The more you work while you're tired/exhausted, the longer it'll take to recover. If we never took breaks, we'd end up just breaking down. And remember, everyone's recovery period is different. People recover in different ways and at different speeds. One person may recover from exhaustion by being around their safe person while another may recover by being alone. Whatever way you rest and recover is valid as long as you aren't harming anyone/anything :) Don't ever let someone tell you that you shouldn't be/need to be taking a break. They don't know how you feel and don't know how your body/brain works. If you ever feel overwhelmed or exhausted, or if you just feel like you need a break, then you should take that break and rest. It's super important to listen to your body when it gives you signs, there's always a reason behind them. I hope you all have an amazing day/night! And I love you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!!! Cya in the comments again soon 👋 - Malachite (they/them)

Just a heads up, Paige Layle (the one talking about autism) is not a very good example of autistic people and has been in a controversy before (I don't know how much she has changed as I really don't care to keep up with her, but still) as well as spewing narcissistic abuse information even recently and pin pointing the difference between narcissism and autism since they get called narcissists for empathizing differently. I'm autistic and narcissistic, narcissistic abuse is bs. I went to check a bit on tiktok last night and yep, even a few days ago still on the narcissistic binge. She was in a controversy back in 2021 for doing a livestream with an organization where the funds would got to ASAN, autism self advocacy network, that steals works from black and indigenous folks. Did some quick research just not to make sure I got the explanation correct. I couldnt find much on how she's changed in recent times or anything like that since it was in 2021 and it's been a couple years. This was a quick search on tiktok just now to make sure I was explaining it correctly and again, this was a few years ago so maybe she's changed. I don't really see any updates or problems now. But the narcissistic abuse stuff IS recent I noticed and is definitely still happening so yeah. Narcissists aren't your enemies autistics. Autistic abuse is a thing spread around as well. Narcissistic abuse isn't real, no one with a personality disorder is more likely to be abusive than others. Not every abuser is a narcissist. Support your fellow neurodivergent peeps. Also, I'm autistic AND narcissistic. Like it's so alienating to see fellow autistics fall for the narcissistic abuse stuff. Even if you are more egocentric, nothing wrong with that. It doesn't automatically make you an abuser for being full of yourself without having NPD.

Hey I normally don’t comment but, on the last video where it’s Bo burnham’s song, I’d like to know if you could cut that video out or replace it with a different one with the same message? The message behind it, wearing masks still, is VERY important dont get me wrong, but it has a really loud noise, and has made it hard for me to watch the clips sometimes (loud noises upset me). I know that loud noises upset others too so maybe you cloud just mute the video or, replace it with a different video that still says “wear a mask in 2023 the pandemics not over” without having a loud noise in it? I completely understand if you can’t, and im sorry if im overreacting or being dramatic it’s just I tried emailing you about this and didn’t get a reply, so if I comment you might see it? Again I completely understand if you don’t want to remove the video, it’s just I normally have these videos playing on a tv or in the background so it’s hard to quickly turn it off before the loud noise comes on. Thanks again for your understanding 🤍
The main issue is these videos are being pumped out every day so adding cws for loud noises is largely impossible (they’ve already said adding things like tws is impossible because of the speed they’re making the videos- doing this all on their own). I know I personally way prefer the sound/video they use for the ending as it’s apart of my routine now. I don’t think they’ll have the ability to change it in the near future (as the videos are pre-made a few days in advance). I’m really sorry the noises in the videos bother you/g. My best offer is to not wear headphones and lower the volume when watching these videos so the sounds aren’t directly in your ear. Hope the video today didn’t bother your sensory issues! /g I know AlexTheGender makes videos a bit slower and tends to add tws/cws if you wanna check them out?
i do wonder where poc who are not black nor native american fall into such diagrams, and issues? I'm not trying to say that we are more/less oppressed than black or native american ppl, however i am trying to say that that oppression is present and should be taken into account while discussing such ideas/theories. I would like to clarify, that I am Tai Dam (indigenous tribe in Laos) and my community faces a lot of oppression (poverty, criminalization, inaccessible or unobtainable education/ educational opportunities, etc). but because of the lack of visibility towards Asian American issues, and the visibility towards Asian American topics predominately centers around East Asians. so me and a lot of other southeast asians feel silences or excluded from such conversations. there is a lot to talk about surrounding this topic, and it boils down to colonialism and white supremacy. basically southeast asians face statistically effected by poverty and criminalization of our culture, its called to the school to prison to deportation pipeline. however none of this is ever talked about in a lot of social justice based communities, especially asian communities. in addition, i cannot relate to the issues faced by east asiana because we r perceived differently in the gaze of yt supremacy, because i and a lot of other dark & tan skinned southeast asians r considered to be "brown asians" (look up the term there is a very interesting story behind it) giving us vastly different issues. so, all in all my question is how does my brown asianess relate to such theories and topics presented.

baking soda is a homemade antacid just make sure you get the dosage right and be careful about overuse bcs its got a ton of salt content, staying hydrated prevents dehydration-induced nausea, find whatever
*find whatever water temp works for your stomach and try to drink slowly and often. electrolytes are also important obvs. if its chronic/recurring figure out trigger foods and activities if you can. for us acids always make it worse including fruit etc, so even bananas which are very easy on your stomach can make it worse for us. dry foods usually help, grains etc. absorbent fibers, simple carbs. fatty foods make nausea worse for most people. again try to eat slowly but consistently, and dont cramp your stomach. if you're sensitive to sensory info laying down in the dark and just having something good sensory in the background can help. in general having an ongoing pleasant distraction helps, as long as its not something that exacerbates it like intense exercise usually does for most people. sucking on ice can be a good sensory distraction and method of hydration. in general, rest, try not to overexert your body, and make sure your basic needs are met. in warm weather keeping cool is also important. unless you know the cause you basically have to wait it out or mitigate and endure. so most regular tips for dealing with unpleasant sensations can apply. sorry this got split, sent first accidentally. we have 24/7 nausea so sometimes we kinda just have to let it exist and keep doing things anyway

If you're offended by the fact you might be autistic, you're just ableist. Whats wrong with potencially being autistic/neurodivergent? Theres nothing wrong with being disabled/autistic, so why should anyone be ashamed of it? I mean it could also be because disability is so stigmatized in our capitalist society due to the fact their labour is not as profitable to the Bourgeoisie and lack of accessability. If you're black, it might discourage you from calling yourself autistic because being a victim of ableism on top of racism is probably really exausting (take that opinion with a grain of sault because I'm white and its just an assumption of mine). But the person who brought this to my attention in 9:08 is white so I'll assume in this case that they're just ableist

@@teritt you could also point out that capitalism is killing those very important community resources, we don't put nearly enough funding into public libraries, lack of accessibility to public libraries (lack of public transportation and the promotions/necessitation of terrible work-life balances also contribute, and are also results of capitalism, those arent profitable so of course they aren't prioritized)
As for community gardens, zoning laws, HOAs, and other various legal restrictions make it hard for people to actually build and upkeep those (because capitalism)
This is a battle we’re all in.
exactly!!! we need to work together, infighting isn’t helping anyone, we need to bring each other up first.
this!!
For shame.

"I'm Matt Wilshire, as mayor, I will invest in school safety. That means well-trained school resource officers working with police to get illegal guns off the streets."
This is a ad that I have repeatedly gotten on RUclips for someone who is locally running for mayor.

The issue is IF this is what the court wanted (which it’s not), they needed to have this new practice in place before repealing affirmative action.

Hey, comrades! I finally got my day of rest :D
Reminder that taking a break and resting is OK.
Whatever way you rest and recover is valid as long as you aren't harming anyone/anything :)
Don't ever let someone tell you that you shouldn't be/need to be taking a break.
Cya in the comments again soon 👋

I know AlexTheGender makes videos a bit slower and tends to add tws/cws if you wanna check them out?

i do wonder where poc who are not black nor native american fall into such diagrams, and issues?

I’ve been living with my parents for the summer (i’m in uni so my summer starts in may and ends in september) and being around them is unbelievably draining because they are emotionally abusive and incredibly bigoted. Does anyone have any good tips for keeping myself afloat and recharging? I work full time until the end of August so I unfortunately can’t just go back to my house until then.
I love the video at 4:45 for thoroughly explaining this concept in a way that I can easily understand.
3:28 Wait, is that an autism trait? Because it’s so hilarious how many things I’ve been recently realizing are probably because of autism, and that would probably explain the fading in between my British and normal accents…
How are my fellow leftists doing? :]
great honestly!! hope you're good :D

So, I haven’t commented here in a while, have not been doing too great.. my grandma d1€d so I’ve just been really sad (obviously) but yeah I decided to comment again bc why not
I'm sorry to hear that :(
Here is a virtual hug 🫂
i'm so sorry your going through that :(
lossing people sucks, dont pressure yourself to grieve any one way and take your time
I’m glad you’re back comrade. I hope you’re feeling better now.
I’m so sorry, take as long as you need please don’t pressure yourself into commenting, losing someone is hard and grieving can take long but sometimes it doesn’t and that’s fine everyone grieves differently and that’s fine
it is perfectly fine to not comment due to personal issues. i hope you're okay, and if not, i hope you get better.
what do y'all do to help nausea? i'm running out of ideas help--
edit: thanks to everyone thats replied thus far
Plain toast/yogurt/crackers and lay down on your back, it doesn't help a whole lot but it does help a bit
I like to sit outside and drink water
baking soda is a homemade antacid just make sure you get the dosage right and be careful about overuse bcs its got a ton of salt content, staying hydrated prevents dehydration-induced nausea, find whatever
Sometimes it’s best to cut a lime in half put salt on it and suck on it. helps a lot and with uneasiness with your stomach hope it helps!
0:10 The Arab Slave trade, the Atlantic Slave trade, and the Ottoman slave trade were all 1000 times worse than what’s happening in the Congo right now… that’s just not true.
Could you please make your videos so that we can watch them in portrait mode? Thank you, love your videos!

I like most of these videos but the one where a guy catches a fish to explain pronouns just aint it. It's animal abuse and it's not funny, plain and simple.
Fish don’t feel that, the hook pierces a spot where they have no nerve endings
@@LyntzbartzkyPerezwhat about when he is holding the fish out of water? Can they feel pain from that?/genq
@@Wwhdduendjdhhfmwosdn fish can survive out of water for a lot longer than people think actually. It’s probably not too pleasant for the fish to be out of water for too long though
