It's a shame to see Mondeo line had ended! I used to own one a few years back and absolutely loved it! They ticked all the right boxes as a practical family car but uprising of SUV's are now ruining the car market. The Mondeo is one of many that will be affected in this range. Other manufacturers will have to start pulling out on family sedans to replace them with SUVs or crossovers.
I had a Mondeo Estate. It was a nice car but suffered from weak suspension. It wasn't just a question of replacing the bushes (like the Sierra before), as you had to replace the whole wishbone assembly, costing £100 for each wheel! I also had the fuel pump fail. It was the electric contacts, but the whole thing was a sealed unit so cost over £200 to replace. The engine and running gear were very good, and the car did 142000 miles, still working well, but the suspension issue came up again, so it wasn't worth doing, and I part-exchanged it for the Fiesta Finesse Mk6, which I still have.
I still have a Mondeo Mk3 Zetec 2L petrol estate. Been very good it is 18 years old and I have had it 17 years. Original clutch/flywheel . Massive load carrying great to drive. But mine Has only 88K on the clock. Just got a MOT no advisories as I look after it.
I predicted this ages ago after the Fiesta and Focus Ceased production. I said the Mondeo will be next. I wonder how long the Ford Transit Van has left?
ford making too many mistakes..............losing market sales by thousands...........need few good petrols and diesels for next 10 to 20 years in uk and ireland
@@fergalreidy9669Its a result of short term (5 yeasr) decision making and director changes. The likes of Toyota and Hyundai plan ahead up to 20 years.
It is also being offered in UAE( United Arab Emirates ) in Arabic countries as the Ford Taurus. You can see it here on You Tube. No, it is not coming to the United States. The suv and crossover took over here in the United States. If it had been offered here, they may have used the Fusion or Taurus name. I am sorry Europe won't get it either.
Any ideas on how to get this car from China to the EU? Obviously its gonna be hard to comply with all of the EU standards but still.. if I wanted to try?
Any forums on this? I am not too clued up on importing a car especially if it is only in China. If it was Japan it would be easier! Check out some importing companies!

Ford had done a big mistake , the ford mondeo was a pillar , an iconic ford car, now there are no sedan anymore for ford in Europe...

Mondeo mk3 (2000-early 2007) didn’t have the interior of Volkswagen Passat! And I’m very happy because it’s not.

I do think the Transit will be around for the foreseeable. Very popular worldwide where as the Mondeo was more European really.

Yeah i had the 2018 and i want this in Ireland id be willing to go through the trouble of importing. Whatever it takes

Not going to the USA either, discontinued in 2021 after that its a zombie car or rental fleet
