    The Jake Origin Story: I grew up with glasses, 5.00 diopter high myopia, and yet today have 20/20 natural eyesight. No surgery, no glasses, I figured out how myopia actually works and how to reverse it (and no, not eye exercises!) The mainstream tells you it's impossible - but the whole concept that myopia is an illness, is complete unscientific nonsense (a 100 billion dollar a year profitable nonsense, though).

    I never believed my eyesight could improve until I went on a beach holiday and my prescription dropped 1.5 in under a month without trying. I put it down to lots of sunshine, barely wearing my glasses and generally being more relaxed. There was a lot of 'intemediate' focus trying to find my way back to the right sunlounger after swimming! Conversely Lockdowns in winter increased my prescription. I'm looking forward to trying your course.

      @G E T R E K T no I'm talking about my prescription as given to me by my optician. My prescription went down 1.5 points and was verified by my optician. I had an eye test a few months before my holiday and had to have another after as my glasses felt too strong. So I'll leave your assumptions and judgements with you.

      @G E T R E K TI didn't claim to be an expert. I shared my experience which I interpreted through ("put down to") my observations and understanding at the time. I didn't say they were based on science or set in stone. I'm new to this. I also said how I was looking forward to the course which I obviously wouldn't even be considering if I didn't know I have more to learn. My comment above simply stated I had noticed some changes in my eyesight and this had changed a belief that change could happen at all. I didn't say I was cured. Thank you for sharing your "final findings" with me and helping me make up my mind. You've saved me money. I'm going to look elsewhere. In my limited interactions with "Endmyopians" I've noticed more than once how rudeness is barely hidden behind an attempt to educate. That's a very unpleasant quality in a community, especially when approaching evident newbies. Do know I won't be replying to you again and I would suggest not getting an affiliate link for yourself as you're a terrible brand ambassador.

      It happened to me.
      When I worn my glasses things got small and without detail -- a sign of overprescrition, and lots of headaches, could not tolerate screen for too much time. But, of course, the good side effect I had lot of feeling of euphoria, happiness, dopamine realising after wearing 20/15 or even 20/10, shades, bold, contrast increasing and so on.

      I once got stuck sitting on a rock for four hrs waiting for the tide to go out. There was nothing to do except gaze at the ocean and horizon. To my great astonishment that night i saw one moon, instead of a moon and shadowy quarter moon, my astigmatism entirely disappeared and didn't return for years.

    And yes tips from my experience :
    1. Using full full prescription indoors under poor lighting conditions for a small amonut of time does not hurt your progress
    2. Always guage your progress by how clear you see with your normalised during the night time compared when you first reduced, the clearer it gets at night the closer you are to your next reduction.
    3.take few munites weekly and pop on your full prescription during the day for a few munites and explore the distance, it reminds your visual cortex of the end goal and at the same time you remind yourself of the clear picture of what you are missing by been myopic. I call it "DE-BLURRING"

    This subject reminds me of a conversation with my brother 20yrs ago - we talked about how after our teens we quit looking at the road signs and things in detail. We generally look at things and we've seen them before so we don't notice the curves of the lettering and details etc. That's about the time many of us begin needing glasses coincidentally. Always wondered if it's related.

    This is encouraging to me as someone who *may* have taken the whole "distance vision" thing almost too seriously... I found myself constantly struggling to find opportunities to look at mountains, birds, horizons, etc. and I got frustrated because it was basically impossible for me to find hobbies that required such a distance vision. I would find myself just staring at mountains pointlessly, which would only last a few minutes before I got bored because I have no hobbies that require staring at mountains for hours. So I would just end up feeling discouraged. I also used to feel "guilty" about intermediate distances, as if they weren't far away enough. Like they were too clear to be effective. I feel motivated again having this new perspective to troubleshoot with! Thanks Jake :)

    A lot of people won't improve their eyesight or win the Plateaus

    I wonder if people who never had myopia have the same feeling than you.
    I mean it's been 20 years that you are 20/20 and you are still need to work always in practising distance vision to keep that level of vision (after hours on screen or books etc..).
    I guess people who have never worn glasses or had myopia have a more flexible ciliary muscle spasm...our is more fragile.

I have excellent near vision and surprisingly pretty good way far distance, its the middle distance that is messed up. I have never worn glasses. I live in the woods and don't spend much time on screens, and ive noticed there's almost no activity i do using middle distance vision. My middle distance views are a sea of green forest, complex visual structures of leaves, sticks and vegetation that i seldom have a need to closely scrutinize. I wonder if it would be beneficial to spend some active focus time on mid distance vegetation?

Its similar to having prolonged closeup work. Needless to say it seems like the eyes quickly give up if the distance is too much if you have residual myopia i think. I use - 1.5 now. I’m in my 20s and it seems like so many people in my generation and earlier wear correction in some form now. It may be anecdotal but it just seems like it’s less common to not have some form nearsightedness. It doesn’t help that glasses are in style either. In fact, I know quite a bit of people that started out wearing less than -1.0 all the time that now have much worse vision.

      I have a conspiracy theory about it, it is well known that the neck in its proper posture regulates hormones as well as bringing nutrients and blood flow to the brain.
      That's why many people correlate myopia with blood circulation problems.
      With the use of smartphones, looking down, people are altering the natural shape of the neck. They are also increasing the use of visual accommodation by associating their own thoughts with the smartphone.
      The conspiracy theory lies in the belief that governments know how to lower the spirits of human beings.
      The next trend is the Metaverse, which can really reverse this scenario, biconvex lenses to relax accommodation, 360° reality, wide field of view, etc.

      @offensivearch Год назад +1

      I have a tool to measure RF, magnetic fields, and electric fields. The good news about RF is the energy drops off pretty fast to safe levels with a few feet of distance. Just try to put your router and microwave further away from you as much as possible. That's usually not hard to do as long as you don't live in a very small space. RF has been shown to disrupt biology (like calcium channels), however sustained unsafe exposure can mostly be avoided with a conscious layout. The magnetic field emitted by power lines though can be more difficult to avoid depending on where you live. I guess that one can't be helped.

    • @1mremington
      @1mremington Год назад

      @@offensivearch You are correct. The primary challenge is when in an environment that is not under ones' control, e.g. school/cafe with wifi router, metro crammed with cell phone users, a neighborhood with unsafe cell tower placement, etc. The predicament is analogous to second hand smoke, except most people wouldn't know they were being exposed to wireless, microwave radiation without visual cues and/or the use of a meter!

      @@endmyopia Hi Jake! Thank you for your what you do! Those are good suggestions indeed.
      It was my aim to point out that your vision variations could have other root causes. For example, most people are aware of red eye cause by prolonged UV exposure (photokeratitis). On the other hand, many do not realize the impact of their exposure to microwave sources, e.g. wifi router at an internet cafe, cell phone used as an hotspot, etc. The eyes (and testes) are particularly sensitive to exposure to electromagnetic radiation, at much lower levels than are widely recognized. This is my understanding and experience. Hope that blesses you brother!

      Ofcourse you all know all of these stories are anecdotal. None are verified by medically licensed professional. None are peer reviewed. And all these self help free videos are ultimately about making money. Oh, you weren’t told that.
      I have never seen any, & there are many; ever submit themselves to unbiased third party testing to see if what is purported is true.
      Having said all that & it needs to be said. I support research into naturally improving one’s self.
      I was listening to an eye guru who touts herself as the only vision guru who is university trained. Nice lady- do your palming, sunning etc. She has 100’s of followers, but of course she has her special “Course” I think it’s $499 or so.
      So my point is: You may think you are improving, but unless it’s verified by professionals who have up to 20 types of vision equipment it isn’t proven. You may think you can run 100 yard dash in 10 seconds, but until you get on the track & have a third party measure your time it’s not credible. May turn out your really at 12 seconds. I passed the DMV test w) no glasses. Doesn’t mean my vision isn’t still screwed up. I would need to go to an eye doctor to let him/her test to see what his machines say, Until I can see perfectly clear near & far, good light bad light-can make a statement my vision is where it should be. Much like baldness. Until someone grows back theirhair & it’s verified by an unbiased medical professional I wouldn’t put much faith in what people are saying. People lie & they lie to make money. So my only point is PROVE IT!

    Hi. If you claim this method is scientific you should be able to demonstrate its effectiveness by making a case study. For example if 100 people with blurry eyes use this method how many of them will have a better vision and how long does it take for them to get there.

      There are hundreds of peer reviewed scientific studies in ophthalmology journals quoting that glasses they sell you, cause more myopia. And yet exactly zero optometrists will tell you about this. I've got limited faith that me spending upwards of 100k USD to 'prove' my method will have any more profound impact. Otherwise .. sure. :/

      @G E T R E K T there are plenty of medical research studies that follow cohorts over a period of years, including myopia control studies. Myopia control is one of the hottest topics in optics right now, it shouldn't be that hard to source funding for research if you have a good idea...

    I have noticed the same issue when driving to the city after time out in nature, looking into the distance, able to see tree details and tiny animals. Then... Ugh, why can't I see the small letters on highway signs down the road? Thanks for the "clarification"! 🫣
