The Jake Origin Story: I grew up with glasses, 5.00 diopter high myopia, and yet today have 20/20 natural eyesight. No surgery, no glasses, I figured out how myopia actually works and how to reverse it (and no, not eye exercises!) The mainstream tells you it's impossible - but the whole concept that myopia is an illness, is complete unscientific nonsense (a 100 billion dollar a year profitable nonsense, though).

You are a remarkable teacher with deep insights into the whole process. As a mathematician I am trying to correlate the insights that Bates and other practitioners have uncovered over the years with known laws of optics, physiology and nutrition. So far I have 100% correlation. I am keeping a journal of this as well as my own sensations and experiences. Almost from the beginning I began to experiences remarkable changes to my eyesight I had been wearing dark sunglasses for decades (I hated fluorescents as they didn't create the right "mood' for thinking about math problems). I was probably 20/400 but have not had a new prescription in decades. I did not wear the glasses when reading, only for driving or outside work. Rest of the time
I was content to live within my small horizon.
After understanding the Revelation of "Lens Induced Myopia and Astigmatism" I felt morally compelled to just not use my glasses anymore. As you point out this is probably not the best for most people.I have the mental discipline to understand the whole program and to apply it during my waking hours continuously.
Sunning to relax the cilial muscle (mine is probably like a rusty spring, I have some insights on how to help this and what is actually happening in the physiology over time)
Deep Field gentle focus to further relax all the eye muscles
Sunning to stimulate the proper biochemical environment in the eyeball as well as stimulate the back of the eye to move forward toward the light (analogy with plant growth)
This further insight gave me hope, as well as the experimental evidence that you presented, that the eyeball would adjust itself
The eye is an adaptive apparatus: Placing a static lens on top of its working must eventually lead to muscular confusion and disordination. Give the eye time to o accomodate from one focal distance to the next so as not to stress muscles or provoke "cilial lock", where the lenses is stuck in a certain shape that will only focus at a certain distance.
My eyeball muscles rebelled on the third day. When I would look each eye seemed as if it wanted to run in 6 different directions.. I attribute this to muscular disordination ( notworking together
and confused by years of wearing and trying to adapt to lens' refracted light rays. Persistent mental discipline via "active focus" eventually broke their stubborn misbehaviour.
On day 8 I experienced an Outbreak of Clear flashes throughout the day.
Sometime during the second week , the end of a street about 1/3 of a mile away came entirely into something like 20/20 focus but only for about 5 to 10 seconds. I have been experiencing clear flashes every day. This is the 4th week.
As Jake has said: To see far you must practice looking far. I try to spend at least one hour/day just looking at extremely distant 1/3 to 1/2 mile. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE ABUSED CILIAL MUSCLES BE RESTORED BACK TO HEALTH AND FLEXIBILITY.. It must first be unstuck, then regain its flexibility and strength. It must then respond rapidly again to changing focal distances
or sight will still remain blurry. Go slow in changing the distance of things we are looking at.
What I see in all this is that there are a lot of subtle healings that need to occur for vision to be restored and that ONE CAN DO THINGS WRONG WITHOUT SOME UNDERSTANDING OF WHY.
What I also see is the tremendous persistence and psychological determination necessary to succeed.
It seems only a remote possibility to me to successfully instruct a 7or 8 year old, whose myopia is just beginning, in these methods.
I wrote up these rather lengthy observations hoping to help others gain insight into some of the psychological and physiological challenges that they will face in the struggle to regain their eyesight by natural means. There is a price to be paid for a Natural Healing

jack, you are very right. The Optomitrist very told me that the astigmatism is my eye shape, it is fixed. So I asked her but when I was born and young, I don’t have them. Then she said oh, it will not change at your age. I am 40s. I think the Optomitrist only knows what they learned from the book. They hardly know much the rest. I found right eyes astigmatism is too strong. Makes my eyes sore. But with my old glasses with less astigmatism is more comfortable. I am going to change the Optomitrist she currently one is very arrogant and she did the least time on my eye test.

And the sight is getting more clear and bright. But once I put my old glasses I felt eyes strained and sore.

I found an optometrist willing to undercorrect my prescription so that I can avoid bifocals. She decided to remove the astigmatism correction as well. So I started wearing the new lower prescription conact lenses which felt totally fine and i felt my distance vision was no worse. Oddly, the next day I wore my old glasses with the higher prescription and astigmatism correction and i had a headache. And body felt “twisted”.

Oh! I never knew ophthalmologists can measure my astigmatism.. last time I went to see them hoping they could help me with corneal abrasion, suspecting the double vision is caused by corneal abrasion rather than astigmatism. they just pointed me to opticians if i need to check my astigmatism. good job ophthalmologists! good job!

I went to the optometrist fairly recently and this is word for word what happened. I ended up having a prescription for a -3.00 cylinder correction. I'm fairly certain its lens induced, heck they did an eye health check and they saw veins growing to my iris because i wore my lenses too excessively so my eyes had to compensate for a lack of oxygen supply (i have toric contacts, and i dislike my glasses so much). I believe i began with -0,50 cylinder, then went to -1.25, but it pretty much tripled in the last 4 years and i haven't checked up yet until now.
They advised me to buy a new pair of glasses asap and stop wearing contacts immediatly, and try lenses only when absolutely necessary because of the veins growing to my iris and turn them into "ghost vessels".

  • @afterglow392
    @afterglow392 2 года назад +1

Hey there, could you help me to sort out some questions?
I have very strong myopia -11.75 both eyes with -2 cyl for both yes by last visometry which I have taken this month, before this I didn't go to eye doctor for decade and used -10 SPH glasses and -8.5 SPH contact lenses for very long time since 2012.
I never used cylinder with glasses or contact lenses in my life, just SPH glasses, I had strong astigmatism also for very long period. I found that in 2012 it was even worse about -3.25 for both eyes. By some reason I reject to use CYL when I tried it with optometrist, because of headaches.
Currently, I'm using -10 SPH glasses for work and -8.5 SPH lenses to go outside. They can provide me something 50% (glasses) and 30% - 50% (lenses) percents of normal vision depends on light, stress factors and etc, which is a too low for normal life when it's not sunny or during winter time.
Main problem is astigmatism, it gives me double vision, blur even on short distance, according to last visiometry if I would use glasses -2 CYL and -11.75 SPH I can see 90% - 100%.
Should I go to optometrist at first and correct my vision by glasses and lenses to get 20/25 vision at least.
Currently, my glasses and lenses seems weak for distant work, but when I work with smartphone using -10 SPH glasses I've got eye strain, seems like it should be just -8.5? I'm trying to avoid any close work especially with smartphones
Could you give me any advice how to deal with cylinder and should I start to use glasses and contact lenses with cylinder and go to optometrist and change glasses to something -11.25 and -2 cylinders instead of -10 SPH which I'm using now to distant work. I already watched tons of videos and read stuff. But seems like my astigmatism is not lens-induced because I've never used CYL in my life but with CYL I see 50% better with almost same SPH, as Jake said on this video changing prescription will cause a cascade of changing in visual system. Maybe guys you've seen something similar and can point me where I can read, because now I'm a bit frustrated how to reduce diopters for close and distant work when it seems I need -2 or -1.5CYL anyway
Any advise to start dealing with this condition will be helpful for me. In this video was advice about checking cornea shape but what it gives to me? how I can use those checking to make a progress

I think it is very simple: lenses create stress on the eyes, possibly deforming them and creating astigmatism, the same way lenses can increase eye pressure by stress. When you remove the lens, the eyes slowly start to get back to normal, reducing the astigmatism.

I went to the eye doc for the first time in 10 years recently and my new prescription had a big astigmatism correction in it. I never had an astigmatism correction before and even though the eye doc said I could still easily see 2020 in my old glasses he made major changes to my prescription. I could see 20/10 with the new glasses, and I got a massive headache and dizzy spells too, so I returned the glasses and they were really mad and tried to argue with me about returning the glasses (this was at a walmart) Never going to them again.

This eye doc actually made me say out-loud 3 different times that the new prescription looked better than my old one. He would not give me my prescription until I literally said it out-loud and he said he hated customers like me who were over 40 and had not been to an eye doc in over 10 years. He literally said several times that he "hated" people like me because we always come back and complain about the new prescription and he told me not to come back complaining to him. It was kinda shocking how they acted.

Uhm vast majority of astigmatism is corneal. Can that be lens induced? It is a physical misshape of the cornea... Nowadays almost every decent optometrist can measure the k1 and k2 readings and they have fancy machines which still give different results... astigmatism can develop during the years due to several circumstances. Just as with spherical when your young you probably had quite a few years with clear vision. Then it starts getting f*ucked up and they just give you the strongest prescription. That is where they should make improvements for the future generation. Give advise and try to slow it down.

    Hey Jake,
I recently found your website and was Wondering if to Book your online Course because I Naturally went from -6 to -4 in 2 years and healed my astigmatism to nearly 0% while not even really trying to do it. I simply let my eyes rest and try to eat clean and work out. Also I only use my glasses when necessary. Would it make sense to to get weaker glasses (-3) to train my eyes further? I often get headaches wearing them. Greetings from Germany:)

I don’t think my astigmatism is genetic, im the only one in my family with astigmatism. Both my parents have perfect vision. I think I probably caused it when i was a child because i used to press on my eyes really hard to see “stars” 😢

But where comes the genetic part then. And how would someone have a 'misshaped' cornea in the first place

Some people do. Point is if it started low, it's not genetic.

@@endmyopia So only major astigmatism can be genetic? I never wore glasses, I can see things, why would I need them? However, after a period of bad headaches and a flop experience at some fancy pancy eye clinic that told me all I had was myopia and was spending too much time in front of my computer, a friend of mine recommended me an ophthalmologist she knew, so off I go to him. After listening to me for about ten minutes he told me I probably had astigmatism, then I got in that chair with the machine thing and for the first time in my life I realized I didn't see as well as I thought I did, most of my friends laugh about this last part, because how is it possible to NOT know when you don't see correctly? But it's true and actually kind of frustrating. Without my glasses I see things sort of blurry and it's been like that as far I can remember and now I know that's not how things are supposed to look, as stupid as that may sound to most. I googled how a person needing -3.00 cyl would see and that's definitely not how I see, so my stigmatism can't be that bad (I don't remember what my prescription said). In my case, glasses didn't cause my stigmatism (because I never had glasses before), and neither did genetics (because my astigmatism aint that bad), so that leaves life/bad habits? If that is so, is there hope for me to cure my astigmatism the way you mention in the video?
