If the tests are for the 1993 season, why does the Mclaren say ''Powered by Honda'' on the side when it was powered by a Ford engine in the 1993 season?
It is winter 1992- just before Christmas. The 1993 team drivers sampling the 1992 cars & engines. In those days the contracts ran til the end of the year- hence why the McLaren is still Honda powered.
@@chrismc1977 If Honda stayed with McLaren for 1993, would Ayrton Senna be threatening the Williams cars every race? Never mind Michael Andretti, at best, he'd be like another Gerhard Berger. How many races did Berger win when he was in McLaren? I know there is no "if" in history, just wondering.
@@zhammmy They were testing their active suspension. And yeah if Honda had stayed and kept upgrading the V12 they would have won much more races for sure. Berger won 3 races (Japan 91 a gift from senna, Canada and Australia 92 (both race Senna could have won if he had not retired).

Coz they hadn tsigned a deal with Ford by then and Andretti was probably doing familiarisation laps
