Couldn't have said it better! I SO looked forward to this show every Saturday night in syndication in the Seattle/Tacoma market. This was such an exciting show, my very favorite of all of Chuck Barris' arsenal of clever game shows!
WOW, two big winners on the New Treasure Hunt, Susan wins a check for $12,000 and Vera who fainted when Geoff Edwards said you won a new $11,147 Rolls Royce that was shown earlier, excellent 1974 game show treasured classic!!
60 Minutes years ago did a story on Chuck Barris and the way The New Treasure Hunt was played. They actually contacted Vera, who had won the Rolls Royce and asked her about her experience. She said she had a wonderful time and she was not upset at all. Later Chuck Barris sent her roses as a thank you.

Didn't she accept cash in lieu of the car? Or did she sell it? Something as fancy as that would've probably fetched a nice chunk of change.
Why would she have been upset? She won a classic Rolls Royce! 🤔
