    Run time can be a factor, I work in a rural county where we routinely track people on foot for hours… run time is a important factor for me. Yes, you are not using your WML the entire time, but when you are clearing rock structures, mine shafts/cave entrances, and abandoned out buildings, you will kill your light a lot faster than you may think.

    I like your videos, and holsters. You mention something about the cloud switches and there's a link to another video. Thing is I didn't see anything about the switches, what is the issue or issues with them? Thanks.

    I remember you all making some videos on the topic, but it has been awhile. Just wondering what you recommend atm.

      I'm currently running the Surefire EDC2-DFT Turbo. See my recent EDC switchup video for more on that.

      Cloud (MCH-HC or MCH-EDC) and Modlite (PLHV2) should be considered with the Surefire Shan mentioned. I still really like the Surefire EDCL2-T even though it's candela isn't great but the bigger drawback is that it only takes primary cells (cr123).
      I currently EDC a Cloud Defensive MCH-HC and have a Streamlight TLR7a on my compact edc piece.

    Isn’t the rein 1.0 more battery friendly since it has the battery jack feature 🤔

  • @gob7116
    @gob7116 8 месяцев назад

    Rein 3 easily is the best light out there right now. Longer Run times are pointless if the light throttles down to where it barely does it’s job as advertised. Beating photonic barriers and having a good throw with usable spill is more important since you can (and should always) be bringing spare batteries. Mil doctrine has always been to carry spares, from magazines to socks and even batteries for your nods and peq so why not the light as well?

    • @WerkzHolsters
      @WerkzHolsters  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your feedback on this! I agree should always have spare batteries.

      Technology changes all the time. If you have the rein 1.0 you still have an excellent WML. I run the OG OWL on 13.7 and the OG rein micro on my 12.5 and they work great, no complaints.

    • @spearthumb68
      @spearthumb68 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@jameshill5304 yes but on every tactical internet forum, comment section and Discord server in the world they tell you "buy the good gear once you only cry once."
      Which is of course a total lie.
      You end up buying really Gucci gear every year or two at enormous expense.

      I personally love the OWL design. But yes, technology continues to improve. LED emitters are improving -slowly- but still giving us year over year gains.
