hes been handling it fine dude. he had his own guest appearace on rogan, he hosts MSSP when shane isnt around and he is raising a fucking kid with his wife. i dont think he gives a fuck. hes fairly famous himself now too lol
I think the podcast served its purpose. Shane’s intention from the start was to be a really great stand up comedian and he’s on his way to accomplishing that. It was a way for them in the beginning to make money on the side and do something in between shows. They didn’t realize how successful the podcast would be and how little work it takes once it takes off. Similar to the cumtown pod.
I think they fully knew how little work it was, they just never thought it would become the biggest podcast on patreon. Cumtown had been around and Shane being friends with them knew just how stupidly easy it was from a time investment standpoint.

All I know is Matt and shane built up a grassroots groundswell that is wildly lucrative every month. They're uncancellable.
I get that they still rely on studios and producers to get the typical cool opportunities that comics always want, but a lot less than others.
On top of that it's like they built that base of support being wild af because it's refreshing

Yeah I kinda don't like them anymore. Like with most everything, they were great from the beginning until Shane popped out after getting in with the Rogan crew and doing his Austin special. But now, they sold out fully. They made their bag and good for them, but Matt is completely up his butt with his Shaman shtick and I guess Shane was always a huge dick, but at least he had this funny early 2000s high school bully vibe. Now he's just plain douchebag all the time. They epitomize the sad reality behind every success story in our culture, you get the money and get in with the cool kids and you stop being funny with this go getter energy and innocence you had at the beginning. Same with Joe and most other comedians. Formerly counter-cultural podcasts have created their own sort of establishment and they're exactly as terrible as the other establishment now.
