I watched Labyrinth less than 24 hours ago, because I was telling my partner about the Labyrinth campaign that I was the DM for when I was in high school.
Thumbs up for the House of Leaves reference! A great book about a minotaur is Steven Sherrill's the Minotaur takes a Cigarette Break. It's this fantastic book about the Minotaur of myth living a peaceful life in middle America. And it recently got a sequel lol
I could see our two boiz teaming up under the pretext that it's a competition to see who the most savage truly was, mutal destruction, but complete chaos.
One thing I found interesting about Baphomet in the AD&D Monster Manual 2 from the 80s was that he had one of the highest (if not the highest) telekenesis gp weight values at 75,000 gold piece weight. I wonder why he was so strong at that skill!?
Would love to get to the middle of a labyrinth that the entire party is expecting to find Baphomet at the centre of…. …only to find David Bowie sitting on Baphomet’s corpse as it dissolves into its raw abyssal energy. And then you fight Bowie.
Question: what about giants, it's said some worship baphomet but never tell you which ones do or anything more then that 1 tidbit as far as I can find, do you know anything about this?
Tanarukks are not Baphomet related normally. They are Orc Tieflings actually. Baphomet also has fiend touched minotaurs called Baphitaurs, basically tiefling Minotaurs.
Um..your given definitions of Demon lord/demon prince contradicts quite a bit of lore. If controlling a layer made you a prince, then Orcus, among many others would be ranked as a prince, instead of just demigorgon and Ob-ox-obb. Also Grazz't controls 3 layers..does that make him a triple prince? Idk maybe that's how it was in the older editions, but to my knowledge there have only ever been 3 holders of the " prince of demons" title, and there can only be one prince at any given time. Hence why demigorgon has his " Aura of command" as well as the transfer of power that triggers upon his death.
Prince of Demons and Demon Prince are two different titles. Orcus is the Demon Prince of Undeath Graz'zt is the Demon Prince of Lust Baphomet is the Demon Prince of Beasts Demogorgon is the Demon Prince of Demons, or just Prince of Demons.
I'm actually in an Out of the Abyss game. Having a blast too
I'm Team Baphomet. His fondness for mazes suggests he's a thinker.

Oh wow, I haven't thought of House of Leaves in over a decade. That's a great suggestion for labyrinth inspiration.

House of Leaves is crazy. Great and simple video, I really like the evil forest idea!
perfect timing, i was just about to go clear the baphopmet cult you first encounter in pathfinder wotr
I so look forward to each of these videos! Great work Jorphdan 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Glad you like them!
surprised no talk about Baphomet's high knowledge and his experiments and the creation of other demons like the goristro.
After this, I'm hopping on the vid you did with Mr Rhexx and AJ Pickett. Btw, your hair looks fantastic, as per usual. Thanks!
I actually just cut it, too shaggy on the sides ^^;
HornED. The HORNED King.
Egg on my face.
Hey, an idea here, after this demon series, some Greyhawk lore would be nice.

Loving a lot of your contents, a good video is more satisfying than some lore scattered around.
I would LOVE a decent juicy video about Bluetspur.
Imagine catching your neighbour building a maze and trying to navigate that social minefield
Kaz the Minitour, the good minitour
I was not aware of the rivalry between Gnolls and Minotaurs....hmmm...
I could see our two boiz teaming up under the pretext that it's a competition to see who the most savage truly was, mutal destruction, but complete chaos.
Honestly, the best thing the next edition of D&D can do is change from "feet" to "meters". It limits their international reach.
The only Labyrinth I wish to be stuck in, is one with David Bowie. (But not like with my 16 year old self...lol).
Hmm, yes! Speak Jareth to me!
Thank you for these videos. You do so much research and really bring these to life.
Thanks!
"Mazes. Not even once."
*Sad Ubtao noises
Who would win in a Maze battle? Ubtao VS Baphomet
The Lady of Pain.
House 2, bad 80's horror movie where the guys home has portals to another world/hell.
I thought there was a ritual people could partake in that would turn them into a minotaur.
2:06 I was expecting for the conversion to metric of the upgraded Baphomet, but it never came.
Oh, I just beat him in Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, lol

Nice, dude! Love these videos!
I’m thinking satyr Barbarian Warlock with Baphomet as their rage patron! 😅
I will never stop doing mazes... ever!!!
The horned king. One of my favs
The PH is not silent this time.
the difference between demon lord and demon prince is useful info
litterally just ran hi the other day
Surprised you didnt mention one thing he is known for, breeding new monsters

Nice little history lesson there
Thanks
Thanks.
So how is he a demon prince if Pale Night is also on his layer?
yep! good catch! I think... wibbly wobbly timey wimey.
If you enjoyed House of Leaves, did you listen to the companion album that the author’s sister (Poe) made for the novel? It’s called haunted.
Yes I have! Love it
@@Jorphdan awesome! I love it too.
JORFDAN
Don't be afraid submit to Baphomet and you'll be spared.

I'm starting to think u have a grudge against geese
In my game malar killed both demon princes and got their power
badass!
baphomat is powerful
is he more powerful than Vecna?
Could someone please direct me to a place where I can learn why Baphomet is a minotaur instead of a goat in DND?
Baphomet, the ph is silent
Do you dislike geese and swans, Jorphan?
geese are the devil's bird

@@jonathancampbell5231 that actually makes sense, thanks for clarifying
