When they cry, it's about their punishment, not remorse for the crime they committed. I believe they should never be let out.

For some of them they are remorseful. Remember that for a lot of them being held awaiting trial they get psychiatric and psychological treatment for the first time in their life. Sure it's not a cure, but it doesn't take a lot of services to prevent these kinds of incidents. Talking to a professional or getting medication even infrequently could have prevented the vast majority of these school shootings. Not saying we should have sympathy or that they don't deserve consecutive life sentences, but access to basic mental health services prior would have saved a lot of lives.

the only way to stop all these killings is to make guns illegal for citizens and allow them only with a special permit now everybody can buy a gun as use it as he or she pleases in a argument or what ever. So its no wonder that the US is considered as the most dangerous country on the globe even the police shoot you over a traffic violation that sick

In psychology its not that simple, while some of them may be be real psychos with no remorses, I think also some can be in a dissociation mode. It means like a part of your brain shut down and another part takes over, which sometimes give the feeling that they have no remorse, but sometimes it's just how the brain works, like it doesnt know how to deal with that and completely shut down. (Don't get me wrong, if you are a murderer, you deserve your sentence and idgaf about them being sad, just wanted to give a psychological insight). Dissociation also works for example when you are in a really stressful situation, like if you arrive on an accident and see blood or horrible things everywhere : while some people might panick and be horrified, some "dissociate" and they can keep their calm because the emotional part of the brain completely shut down. It's really common with people working in emergency fields.

sorry but your recap of what happened w Ethan Crombley in MI is WAY off....the gun belonged to Ethan.(tho underage his parents bought it FOR him) His dad did not call 911....in fact the day he took the gun to school in his backpack one of his teachers found some disturbing drawings in a notebook & called a meeting w his parents as she was worried. There was a inpromptu (sp) parent/principal/student meeting AT THE SCHOOL THAT DAY. Long story short, the parents claimed they couldnt get him a counseling apt that day & they both HAD to go back to work so he was sent back to class. Later that afternoon he did what he did. correctness when claiming to talk on actual events is usually helpful. just sayin.
this kid had been SCREAMING for help for a long time but his parents were too busy w their own lifes & selfish BS to give 2 shits....parents & the system failed this kid & his victims horribly.

@@MissPjulie yes, there is cause and effect. There is a reason for everything. But understanding the reason does not mean ignoring the outcome. Society just can’t afford it.
Also, it’s time society is honest. What is prison? Is it a tool for punishment and retribution (punitive) or a place for rehabilitation? These interests often compete. When society has an opportunity to decide what gets more funding, we always choose jail cells instead of therapy and social programs. And when it is time to punish someone, what does the public scream for: punishment or leniency.
The truth is, society does not care what you’ve been through or how you’ve suffered. Society will pretend to offer little programs to “help” prisoners, but this is because we want to look civil. But we don’t care who uses the program, who has access, whether it works or if it even has money.
      We prefer to build jails.

Exactly right. I’ve been trying to figure out what is wrong with some many kids today. You explained it perfectly. They are all self absorbed victims. I have adult kids living with their parents on both sides of me. They don’t work and do whatever they want. I was out at 18, working and putting myself through school. No excuses.

They are not grown up adults
      at first.
      2.
Some of them were the victims first!
      There were children too!
They were bullied for years and no one helped them, and no one saw their pain or suffering, or their negative psychological development because of it...!
      So why do you expect
they were such explosive or cold-blooded murders?!
      For no reason?
The reason is not always the same!
Some of them were actually innocent children, who were sentenced or forced to commit murder.
      Now,
Sentencing them to life imprisonment is not justice.
      That too is cruel.
They need and deserve a second chance, psychological help and therapy in prison etc.
to have the chance to be a better person for future,
but not to be in prison forever until death?
      That too would be inhumane.
      They are still children.
Yes, these young people, or some of them still children, have made a big mistake, but not because they were born as natural killers.
These children were ignored and previously tormented by teachers, adults, parents, or other classmates!
No one noticed her great suffering, or perhaps it was even deliberately ignored?
These children were the real victims first, before everything escalated,
and they went completely crazy and only then became angry gunmen!
Sometimes the actual victims are turned into perpetrators or are driven to do so.
Everything is not always as it seems!
These initially innocent children were first made sick before they developed into real murderers.
Or do you get sick and are born a murderer?
First you have to work on society before you condemn and punish children so mercilessly harshly up to death!
That's not fair. And Not a Solution.
Even if they also destroyed entire families afterwards, which is a terrible result of that.
But they too were initially innocent children!
You also have to consider that,
and take into account when punishing,
the fact that for some people it wasn't their own fault that they were driven to murder?!
Punishment has to be, for some harder, for some less, depending on the situation!
But a just and humane and meaningful punishment for children and adolescents, but not for life or death!
