Oscar award-winning filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Alex Gibney have joined forces to produce “Why We Hate,” a six-part series for Discovery Channel exploring the human capacity for hatred-and how we can overcome it. The Atlantic hosted an advance screening of the first episode of the documentary series, followed by a behind-the-scenes discussion with producers, directors, and others involved in the series.
