    Here’s a correction: it’s pronounced “Hunter Hunter” as togashi said he put the cross in the middle bc it looked cool, and because in it’s Japanese name it comes out to 「ハンターハンター」, which in romaji (eng characters) is “Hantaa Hantaa” without an “x”

If he managed to make youpi a giga chad chimera with high defense scream like a baby. what damage he can inflict to a regular human. yes. human can enhance their body with nen if they focus it on a certain part of the body its possible not to take damage. but with his god speed. they have to distribute it. killua managed to break pakunoda's arm and stab machi knowing a little nen. imagine with godspeed.

    Sure Meruem in his ROSE state clearly is USING not HAS but is USING more of his aura then he normally did cause the butterfly kept pissing him off

    You know what? When Gon makes his triumphant return, I would actually like his body to still be crippled enough to require the wheelchair most of the time… with his enhancer abilities refined to the point where his fishing rod arts have reached a level near his Adult forms powers, but with the sorts of restrictions that require he use finesse like most of the cast does these days. Maybe having a time limited standing mode, but mostly no longer relying on brute force thanks to rehab allowing Gon to better benefit from restraints put upon nen usage

    Pitou didn’t get post mortem nen amp. Pitou’s ability got the amp. This is a very different thing than what happened with Hisoka or Kite. They become stronger beings because they conquered death. Pitou died, and Pitou’s ability became stronger after death. Like with the elder from Meteor City. If Pitou had instead conquered death, I’m sure that version of Gon still would have won but it would have been a much harder fought battle and he might have lost more than an arm. Considering that Kite went from around Knuckles level to now having (theoretically) the same potential as Meruem, and Hisoka is insanely stronger now, I’d say that it isn’t entirely impossible that a living post mortem nen Pitou might have actually won that battle if we’re using those examples to gauge the percentage difference gained from post mortem nen. But when it just applies to the ability, it can only go so far.

    This video was incredible, I've used virtually all of these arguments in various HxH groups I'm in. The only thing I'd debate you on is Adult Gon being weaker than Ging. Let me break down why I think this.
    Netero says it's been at least 50 years since he was the strongest nen user.
    Bisky tells Gon that Netero once said Ging is currently in the top 5 nen users alive.
    Netero considers himself dramatically weaker than his prime, going so far as to say he's only as strong as Morel and Knov. They say he's just being modest, but the important thing is that he feels that much weaker than when he was #1.
    This to me, implies that Ging is almost certainly far stronger than Netero was when he fought the King.
    As for Gon, he's frequently compared to a young Ging.
    My understanding of his contract was that a fate worse than death was required to bring out enough of his potential to defeat Pitou, but that this would be impossible for somebody without that potential to begin with.
    If the thing Gon is gaining via the contract is effectively just skipping to a later point in his life when he would be strong enough, then to me, it stands to reason that Ging may have already reached or surpassed that level in terms of strength alone.
    Combine that strength with undoubtedly the best nen control feats we've witnessed in the series, and Ging's combat power likely dwarfs anything we've seen in the series.
    All that said, this video was fantastic. I've been saying all of these things for a very long time. Well done.

    • @Professor_Fiction
      @Professor_Fiction  2 года назад +12

      For one, the statement about Netero not being the strongest was also what Knov was referring to when he said he was being modest, and Netero himself later states that he’s regaining his grove against the ants. Netero also despite knowing Ging on a personal level, never seems to have viewed him as an “unstoppable opponent” worth challenging and wasn’t even remotely interested in anyone till Pitou appeared, seeing as his whole grand desire was finding someone stronger than he was.
      Regarding Gon, while Ging may have that potential, we don’t know if Ging capitalized on said potential seeing as for the most part he’s depicted as being more of an “entrepreneur hunter” and not so much renowned for his strength the same way other hunters, namely Netero, are. Even Pariston trolls the other zodiacs by saying Netero was too strong to be their leader lmao

    • @Hissingace110
      @Hissingace110 2 года назад

      @@Professor_Fiction You and I just have very different interpretations of what Netero was saying at those points, and what Knov was saying about modesty. I'm having difficulty finding the quote, but I've seen the series something like 15 times, and I'm almost certain the exact quote is something close to "The Chairman's just being modest, he's still a lot stronger than us". After the Chairman claims to be their (Morel and Knov's) equal.
      That, to me, does not at all imply that Netero is still the strongest nen user, or even close to that. Yet he himself ranks Ging to be somewhere in the top 5 most powerful.
      Notably, Ging and Botobai were Netero's sparring partners within the association, so they did fight, often. And Ging's strength is well-known, as Hisoka was seeking him out as a target.
      I really feel like there's every indication that Gon gets his natural talent from Ging, and Ging is simply much older. (Probably about 22 years older). When Killua estimates how many years Gon would need to skip forward to reach his power level, he guesses between 10 years and "decades". In any case though, even if Ging isn't an exact match for adult Gon's raw strength (he may very well be), he still has all of Gon's talent and 22 years more experience. He's got easily the best nen feats in the series, and we haven't even seen his actual abilities.
      He also trained Kite how to use nen, who, if the popular fan theory is correct, has the best-designed nen ability in the series, from an in-world perspective. Having effectively cheated the restriction system to gain the boosts of multiple restrictions with no penalties at all.
      Exact equal strength or no, I think it's a massive stretch to confidently place him below adult Gon in combat power.

      They said this would be gon after decades of training so him being twelve and decades being minimum 20 years at the lowest this is a 32 year old (he looks like he could be 40 to me though) how old is Ging mid 30s? I don't think he's achieved that level at all not even close they said this would be gons 100% maximum potential if all he did was train its not like ging only trains as we know most of his hunter work is discovering ruins and things of that nature not combat type things I think it's crazy to say he's stronger than that gon who was comparable to pre rose meruem.

    • @Hissingace110
      @Hissingace110 10 месяцев назад

      @@Garvant_ It's very unclear how much Gon aged, so I don't think that's enough of a basis for comparison. More importantly though, even if your assumptions were true, Ging's understanding and control of both nen and people in general still absolutely dwarfs adult Gon, and I'm willing to bet he's got a much more potent hatsu than Jajanken.
      So if your basis is that Ging isn't quite old enough to be as powerful as Gon was at that moment, you're really only factoring physical stats, and even then it's unclear. Even if he's only 75% of the way there (BTW Pitou's comparison happened while Gon was still powering up), he still has other monumental advantage over Gon.

    1:42 Depends on what you mean by "catch up" to him, they both learned Nen at the same time and Killua has always maintained a slight lead, also by the end of the anime Killua could push 5 gates and he knocked out Gon with ease during the Chimera ant arc, Chameleon guy was also wary of Killua not Gon, saying he might be comparable to a squadron leader.
    In actual physical strength Gon won't catch up any time soon since Killua has a 80% affinity for enhancement and had been training his whole life, the only thing Gon beats him on is aura output but that's just an enhancer thing and has nothing to do with potential.

    1:22 Well feats show otherwise, throughout the series Killua has constantly outperformed Gon in Nen, the Nen jumping trick they did on Greed Island requires emission but Killua did a little higher than Gon despite having less affinity for emission.
    During the Chimera arc training with Bisky, Killua's Ren slightly outlasts Gon's despite them both having the same training time, so Killua has slightly more aura.
    Gon was described as "Bottomless" and Killua as "Flawless", these are obviously not meant to be taken literally but rather metaphorically.
    Tbh the only character that can be described as having bottomless potential is Meruem, everyone else has a hard limit.

    • @IBS_GOD
      @IBS_GOD 10 месяцев назад +1

      The nen jumping trick requires enhancement. Killua also has more base strength without nen, so that probably factors in as well.
      Killua outperforms Gon most of the time because of his upbringing + his niches in nen being aura control and skill. Gon’s is in power and focus.
      We don’t know if Gon and Killua’s ren output was the same. We know that there’s an aura output limit for each nen user, and that enhancers have more aura and greater output (I think). It’s possible Killua outlasted Gon due to his control/inferior output, because he definitely does not have more aura than Gon who is an enhancer.

    I honestly doubt that adult Gon is an indomitable force against many higher-ranked hunters simply because the win requirement would be simply to run away or otherwise win time. If Killua and Pitou understood the exact nature of his contract almost immediately, so would most skilled hunters. At that moment everyone with teleportation abilities, enhanced speed or any other way to reliably restraint an opponent from doing damage is pretty much safe.
