    As an alpine 6 owner I would have liked to have seen moulded swing arm protection as well as downtube protection, this is a basic you get on nearly all bikes these days. Also a free orange bearing press kit with every bike wouldn't go a miss too concidering the price.

      TheOracle I've got a Stage 6 and yes better frame protection wouldn't go a miss !

    I don’t understand the hate! I have a stage 6 get the suspension set up right and it’s an absolute riot. Expensive yes but I’d take hand built over churned out in the Far East any day of the week

      Guy Thomas I've got a stage 6 and it's a rapid weapon of a bike and at places like Revolution bike park it makes me laugh when bikes like SC hightowers , Transition patrols etc etc are slowing me up !

    That's a joke. One minute talking about logos.
    On 2020 model they decided to put metric shock, nice job.
    Still single pivot and hand welded in the back of some random garage.
    And don't forget the wasabi colour.

    Get the single pivot/hard wearing bike for UK conditions etc, but the price? No way. Calibre have just launched a 29r Enduro bike for £2k and yes it’s got cheaper spec, but ride reviews are excellent. Even with upgrades it’s gonna be £1k at least cheaper than this and you’ll still have a blast on it. Whyte also knocking out UK-proof bikes at lower prices. I want the UK brands to do well, but you wonder how much money they think people have.

    • @daveandmerlin
      @daveandmerlin 5 лет назад

      Gary Winslow mate it's not just Orange that are expensive and to be fair still better value than alot of other high end brands

    • @garywinslow5607
      @garywinslow5607 5 лет назад +1

      daveandmerlin no, absolutely, fair point. But when you can get lighter bikes and better suspension/build quality for 4K, I’d spend my money elsewhere. Tbh, many of the brands pricing is OTT. However, if you have the money, and this is for you, no worries. It’s a bonkers sport for cost regardless. Pity my wallet for getting hooked!

    • @daveandmerlin
      @daveandmerlin 5 лет назад +1

      Gary Winslow Exactly mate 95 percent of bike brands are overpriced that's for sure and I totally agree with you about Orange being on the high end of price ...I've got one ha . But Orange bikes are some of the most fun bikes you can ride and at the end of the day that's what it comes down to

    "everything is different for 2019"... come on now. The pricing, for an alloy bike that hasn't changed in years is just bonkers expensive. They've not even made the welds look aesthetically pleasing.

    • @dwhyte3392
      @dwhyte3392 5 лет назад

      daveandmerlin to me a high end bike is pioneering some kind of technology which this clearly isn’t.

    • @daveandmerlin
      @daveandmerlin 5 лет назад +4

      Dave Whyte I get what your saying but a poor quality carbon frame made in the Far East probably isn't what I call high end technology and to put it bluntly this bike is probably alot better ride than most of the plastic fantastic bikes .
