Great informative video, thank you. One question, if I may. We hear all the time about the "Hell Hole" and the poor design that created this water/rust trap. Has anyone yet come up with a subtle modification that would allow a reasonable size drain pipe to be fitted/welded into the hell hole?
I am just about to change the rear suspension bushes, I have dropped the engine out to make access easier, so I thought I would look into the possibility of fitting drainage pipes. If my idea works I will make a video and put it up onto my RUclips channel.

I know this is old so hope you see my question.
I heard you say you used POR15……..I keep hearing feed back that paint (or primer I assume) has issues bonding to POR. can you comment.

The tray support has a tab that bends in or downward and contacts the top of the rail inside the support once installed. How do you weld this tab if, as you show, you combine the tray & support before welding to the long rail?

We dont know the ultimate plans for this car as of yet. It could have A/C in the future or perhaps a water cooled engine. In any case, there is still room to weld them up in the future.
