Reminds me of the concept of Narrative Levels from the SCP Foundation. HOI4 is down 1 narrative level from us, same for fiction stories and such. The question is, are we in a Narrative Level? For Christians like myself, we believe so, we are living a narrative that was planned before existence existed. A narrative in which we make smaller narratives through fiction, and these lower narratives can have even lower narratives. Like a fictional story having more fictional stories inside it. In the HOI4 world, Ernest Hemingway probably writes For Whom The Bell Tolls, inspired by their version of the Spanish Civil War. So that's 2 narrative levels down from us.

Doing nothing and waiting for heavy tanks to come in and bust their way through heavy defenses against Germany, which never built any heavy tanks, because why would they? Obviously, Adolf got accepted to arts academy so there is no "Wunderwaffe" guy around to come up with crazy demands like the "Maus".

True story! Hoi4 non historical focuses is a great thought experiment of what would have happened had world leaders during ww2 had no regard for reason, logic, history, or self preservation!

I love that around 12:41 squire’s voice over makes it sound like bill is talking about the British heavy tanks and yet as an alien capable of understanding German he is talking about breakfast and I think I heard something about the autobahn or “science fiction” as we call it since Germany was invaded in 1941 before it could be built because hitler was too busy designing a new panzer division template

Ahh, Prat & Sons. Remarkable how you guys carried on after the "we regret to inform you" letter about Captain Darling came through back in the Great War; I hear he was keen to marry Doris when he got back.

Great stuff Squire. Seeing James Holland and David Willey smirking while providing historical expertise is just hilarious. Gerald von Krautman's accent is unusual though...

I wouldn't even mind seeing or in the future attempting a series of skits like this but from the US perspective, keep up the amazing job as this made my day infinitely brighter after the stress of car repairs.
