QR at the height of their brilliance! No one will EVER come along and replace these guys and their utterly amazing songs, lyrics, melodies and musicianship! Their music still stands up over 20 years later and trumps 99.9% of today's popular music.
Call me guilty to air guitaring, air drumming, and trying to sing anything like Geoff to this song. Thank You Queensryche for this album IT STILL KICKS ASS AT 20 YEARS!
Queensryche is incredible...I remember this tour...I went on back to back nights in Sacramento and San Francisco (had backstage passes in Sac)...amazing shows and huge electricity from the crowds...both were sold out shows...thanks for sharing.
Chris DeGarmo should collaborate with Geoff Tate again. The songs and albums after his departure are sadly missing his input. This one is f***king awesome!
What a great concert that was...Detroit! WOW,....Empire, then the entire Operation Mindcrime album.....didn't get much better than that. Maybe my favorite concert I ever attended.
@superjamesbros2 I can't stop loving this - album/video/concerts, Queensryche has moved me since Operation Mindcrime came out 22 years ago,,,, I JUST CAN"T STOP LOVING IT! It IS ONE OF THE GREATEST METAL ALBUMS OF ALL TIME!!!!! So much talent, so much POWER! Still ROCKING!!! The Ryche!
Considering what's happening with QR now, I find it interesting to watch the body language from the live videos. Tate and DeGarmo always gravitate to each other and Wilton and Jackson don't seem to have a lot of interaction with Tate....... Same with the interviews, whether it's the 80's, 90's or even as late as 2007. You can see the connection with GT and CD.
What more can we say? So GOOD, SO AMAZING! So much TALENT! I was at this show, the next night, in Kalamzoo, Mi. It has been nearly 20 years and still this album / videos - - Video Mindcrime & Operation Livecrime ARE STILL my favorite of all time! Even now when I watch this video I find myself sitting here HOLDING my breath! AMAZING - STILL AMAZING! - "The Ryche"! rduquet
@Stellarmasterelite Dude that was just great what you said to Pianoman, and I for One would like to Commend you for it !!! Considder yourself Commended sir !!! Queensryche Is live art at it's best just too bad that someone can't revive that type of show and also make it affordable for all to see like the Day's past (didn't want to say the Olden days) Good Listening My friend !!!
@SuperPianoman1234 you're a lucky guy just to have the taste and the intellect required to appreciate music like this. There is only one Geoff Tate and, don't get me wrong, it's better if it stays that way :P But, you got to feel unique even as a Ryche fan, believe me. If you're 15 and you're already "matured" enough to like a song like "The Mission", you, sir, are in for a good life. Go get 'em, kid. :)

Yes. That was, according to me too, their apex. 🙂
Call me guilty to air guitaring, air drumming, and trying to sing anything like Geoff to this song. Thank You Queensryche for this album IT STILL KICKS ASS AT 20 YEARS!
There's not many live bands that can play songs with emotion like this, look at mr. DeGarmo and Tate! Amazing stuff.
One of the most BEAUTIFUL Bands Ever! These guys get it - the science and spirituality of music - a rare combo.....I love them!
Operation Mindcrime needs to be made into a movie in my lifetime. J. J. Abrams, are you listening?

One of the best bands of the 80s
I am glad to see that The Ryche has so many fans out there that feel the same way as I do! The Ryche WILL LIVE FOREVER on RUclips!

Omg Tate is so hot and his voice is unmatched.
and STILL is- 2024 💋
Grateful for youtube, indeed. I re-live my youth seeing the groups I was/ am into. Really takes me back to my metal roots. This is genius.
Geoff Tate is the definitive Voice of "Brain Metal"
LIVECRIME = Best ever metal live DVD
Born too late to be able to see them together in person but man Geoff Tate's vocals almost sound straight off the studio album it's unreal
What a great concert that was...Detroit! WOW,....Empire, then the entire Operation Mindcrime album.....didn't get much better than that. Maybe my favorite concert I ever attended.
Saw this tour on my birthday in ‘91. It was unbelievable!!!!! ❤
Wow! Which venue!?
@@nickjackson6604 Rosemont Horizon in Chicago area.
How awesome. I never liked the other albums as a whole as much as this one, they really put together something so special with Mindcrime.

We need music like this to come back.

This album, for me, rates right up there with 2112 and Metropolis II. So Epic!

Dream Theater stole a lot from this band in Metropolis part 2. But both of them are great bands.
at least it isnt lyp synced
not true it was metallica ..and justice for all tour., and queensryche operration mindcrime. opining up in seattle i was there. 1988
At their best
Maybe only P.Floyd did something better
Maybe
nah, it's best that way, i can't imagine a "knight & thieves 2" with DeGarmo, i mean DG is way better than that...
KISS a great live band...no! This is the ultimate in storytelling.....pain...hope ...retribution but in part to DeGarmo
1 person sucks.
Love THE PORTAL EFFECT!, AND YES!!@!!, THEY ARE VERY REAL AND REAL AND REAL.
