I wish that these guys would get past the egos and reunite. They are awesome together. I would still pay to see this live. One of the best albums of all time.
chris degarmo was THE main writer of queensryche's best material musically, not to mention the fact hes a great lead guitarist and possibly the best backing singer in metal history. Queensryches ISNT queensryche without degarmo, just listen to those vocal harmonies.
I was just about to say the same about the backup vocals this is an excellent example of well composed music ..its alive resonating perfectly ..sound quality is 🎯 1st time I saw these guys they blew me away ..1986 In montreal they always have and always will ..they were around with many competitive metal bands around ...iron maiden and queensryche for me were the best metal bands around THAT GUY CAN SING IT !!
Agree with ALL the positive posts on here. AMAZING BAND!! Ridiculously great musicians. Destroyed by ego/conflicts to everyone’s and their own detriment. Utterly sad. What we’re left with though, is some of the world’s greatest (metal) music and live performances by absolutely technically proficient, and professional artists. Each individual is on such a high performing level that it boggles the mind, the drummer, the singer, the bass player, the guitarists! A ferocious combo! Hard for anyone to beat or live up to this quality, even to this day! The music alone is beyond! It has melodies, composition, meaning, force, and absolute beauty and power in them. Amazing!
@mistychamp completely agree with you. saw them in London in -99 and they are by far the tightest metal act I've seen live. it was indeed mesmerizing and almost destroyed my hearing. 6 weeks later light tapping of a spoon on a coffee cup hurt my ear.. but I loved it.
@chayx69 it is live, I've had the pleasure of seeing them perform this entire album live many times at several venues around the country, they are just that damn good. Not too many bands can pull off a show and sound as good live as they do on the album, Queensryche is one of those few bands that can pull it off.
OPMC was/is one of the best fuckin' albums/pieces of work ever. argue it if you wish, but I will not relent. It was also one of the most underrated albums of all time. I saw this tour and it fuckin' blew my ass into never never land. Seen them four years ago and they were absolutely flawless, but I will take the early years any day... Peace Brothers and Sistas!
Ohhh god what a band and what an album. Just sit down and think how this miracle became a reality. First of all, how all this guys met, made a band, made some great albums, and one day Geoff run out of cigarettes. Yes for the first time ever cigarettes were playing an excellent role, then he went down the street to buy a new pack, then he passed near a church and he got into and he saw a nunny, the rest are history. Sometimes fate is written...
@Flaggius I'm positive it's live as well. I saw them do the entire Mindcrime album live and it was mind blowing. I've never seen a band play live and sound so close to the album without lip syncing it. Tate was impressive as hell, as was everyone else in this band. Looking back this many years later I am glad I got to see it live. Thanks for posting this!
Which location was this? I saw the exact show at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Ks! 1991!! I was so there an the screens telling you the story, an don't forget the chain's on the drum set!! Felt kinda bad for them. Put on hell'a show an not even close to being a 1/4 seat's sold
@TheTruthfulAsshole Well I just heard some songs from Accept's newest album "Blood of the Nations" and it's the best thing Metal album I've heard since the 90's. So I know it's still possible to make a mind blowing album. Look up Teutonic Terror.
to be fair to chayx69 the way the audio was used for this DVD it did not sound very live as they was very little crowd noise on this DVD. Even live performances released are taken back to the studio, tweeked, levers lifted up and down etc. Not good editing as it sounded like it had been tweeked in the studio even though as you say IT'S LIVE
@SilverByte69 I do love this album (in particular this song), but have you ever heard "Nostradamus" by Judas Priest? That is the best concept album ever, in my humble opinion.
You guys r complaining about the pathetic us metal scene. European metal+ jRock is right up there with this glorious cd. Check out bands like Angra and their CDs Angels Cry, Holy Land, Fireworks and Temple of Hate. Vanden Plas CD Christ 0. X-Japans Art of Life live from 1993. Helloweens CD like Keeper of the Seven Keys w Michael Kiske.
I remember now, I remember how it started. I can't remember yesterday, I just remember doing what they told me, told me,, TOLD ME. MindCrime - 1987 rduquet - aka - Walter White - I'm Breaking Bad!
YEAHHHHHHHHHHH QR very good ALBUM in year1988 and 1990 the best cds GR esta banda muy buena pero no es tan popular no entiendo porque no fueron famosos en los 90 si se asemejaban al grunge y al rock alternativo 90
problem is ALL the worlds "rock bands" Are degenerating into "grunge/alternative" music bands and losing what made them Great--in the attempt to garner More listeners
Once upon a time, not too long ago, talented musicians got together and formed these things called "bands". Today, however, most bands have gone away, to be replaced by pre-pubescent teenagers that squeal and yell into the microphone, exhibiting no talent whatsoever. How i long for the days of old...
I could just imagine what this band would have been if Chris Degarmo was still around,it's too bad Queensryche's new material is the worst i've ever heard them produce.Queensryche needs to go back to where they started from and keep the theater/imagery bullcrap out of it.Sorry to say but they are sounding more like Jeff Tates horrible solo material.
I've watched this show 100+ times. And no matter how many times i watch it, it still leaves me in awe exactly like it did the first time i watched it.
ditto
Never gets old
Bro same
The damn mic twirl. The tone of thlse guitars and bass crazy shit
I wish that these guys would get past the egos and reunite. They are awesome together. I would still pay to see this live. One of the best albums of all time.
I saw it live in 1991. It was one I will NEVER forget. Tate was a GENIUS.

THAT GUY CAN SING IT !!
One of the most beautiful guitar solos of all time if you ask me 🎸 And that voice 🥲
Still one of the greatest live concerts ever recorded.
I agree, this is the best album ever reordered! I listened to it when deployed for the build up during Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
if u know of a tighter live band in the 90s (maybe the scorpions were = )please tell me
I never get tired of listening to this whole album!
In my car now!
Best live concert I’ve ever been too. Saw this tour in May of ‘91 in Chicago at Rosemount Horizon. It was fabulous!!!!!!
OMG! Do you have a recording of it!?
Os melhores ❤ Saudades desse época
Perfection. Love these guys during this period.
Saw this tour in Seattle. Phenomenal show! 🤘
Ended up seeing them 3 More time's in the last 10 yrs 😀 Great music, Great Vibe, Great Sound, Greatest band EVER!!

So way ahead of their Time ! Amazing Talented musicians!
No matter what comes out this album will be in my my top 5 of all time. Musical genius at work.
It makes me wanna cry that the metal scene doesn't seem as big as it once was...
These guys had such an incredibly tight sound. One of my favorite groups and awesome album!
Best song of Queensryche
Damn, the early '90's were the shit. Such great memories. I watch this, and I'm 22, again, seeing these guys open up for Metellica. What a show!
Saw them open for Metallica too..Justice for All tour late 80's in Knoxville Tennessee...still up there with AIC and Ozzy for me
@@joshuanicely8722 Yep. Same tour. Loved 'em both!
Saw the same tour, phenomenal!

This is one of the best songs in recording history. This live performance does it immense justice. fantastic upload.
I saw these guys in Cambridge UK back in 08... they played the entire mind crime series....one of the best concerts that I have been two hands down!
@Flaggius
I think this is one of the BEST LIVE in time and space.
Long Beach, CA. February, 1992. Awesome show!!!
I so miss this lineup...such a killer band...
It doesn't ge'it any better... takes me way back to those days.
Thanks again for posting
My Dad and mom went to see this a year before i was born that's just fucking awesome

Best concept album of all time. Best music, lyric, and vocals... BEST FUCKIN" ALBUM!
Dis is da shit, bare none, second to none
@miachevydude
I have to agree. Geoff & Chris were amazing together.
OPMC was/is one of the best fuckin' albums/pieces of work ever. argue it if you wish, but I will not relent. It was also one of the most underrated albums of all time. They melded so well on stage. Then add s. rockenfield.... Can't give enough credit or praise. What a freakin great band.
Agree with u man, Rockenfield is a legend! Ryche 4 ever
Saw this tour when it hit Southern California.
Still one of the best I've ever seen. Thnx for posting.

"We're an underground revolution working overtime"
Love it!!
Here in their prime just some badasses doing it like no one else could.
a song from one of the best albums ever written ...
The whole album is solid fucking GOLD.

This is so epic...
Listening to this album is almost like a drug
Amazing performance!
When we programed this show never knew it would revolutionize the lighting world
This the greatest album ever by queensryche operation mind crime in my opinion no doubt
I was there!!!!!
Hands down the baddest concert i have ever seen
I love that riff so much.
Awesome!! I seen them when they opened for Metallica and justice in Buffalo!
Quite simply the best concert video ever... in my opinion.
I'm hearing this song for the first time in two years. Damn, it's great.
Awsome tune,Mindcrime is awsome !!!
Saw this tour.... This was the days when bands would entertain the fuck out of an audience......
Two words to describe this performance
FUCK YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so epic
Perfect! Such a great exhibition!
I would have been there!!!
Just saw the "Queensryche Cabaret" last night, here in Vegas, and I gotta say..I miss the days when they were just a band.......
It just doesn't get any better. Metallica and Queensryche owned the 1987-1991 period.
Had a friend with a daughter named Madison, I was always asking if she was ready for Operation Mindcrime. No one knew what I was talking about. :(
LOL!!!! That’s hilarious 😂
1 of the greatest song of queensryche
that's just great....
this is really good music....!!
FUCKING LOVE IT, PERIOD.
A progresszív metál történelemkönyve e nóta címével egyező album megalkotásával kinyitódott és be is záródott ,ahhoz hozzáférése más zenekarnak nincs!

Oh..My..Dear..God ! Eddie Jackson you are killing me ! :-D
good geoff is like the hottest man on earth!
He’s awesome!
There’s an aura of Elvis about him
Is there a better sounding version anywhere?
The official song of the times
YEAAAAAAAAAH!!!!
Faith In humanity restored!

@Flaggius i live where this was recorded=)
Cool!
check out "lateralus" by tool, and "crack the skye" by mastodon
@TheTruthfulAsshole I'm going to start a band and change all that, right after I learn how to play that guitar I got a year ago.
@chayx69
First: They did this on the Operation LIVECrime DVD.
Second: It's not the video. I've watched the real video.
Melhor do 🌎
degarmo was the style of the band
It's like a comic book on tape.
@Flaggius hes my uncle... i think im lucky
Great quality videos of a GREAT concert. Do you have Needle Lies from this set?
MINDCRIME
@SilverByte69 I do love this album (in particular this song), but have you ever heard "Nostradamus" by Judas Priest? That is the best concept album ever, in my humble opinion.
It's certainly the most underrated.

I just remember doing what they told me, told me,, TOLD ME.
MindCrime - 1987
rduquet - aka - Walter White - I'm Breaking Bad!
@Flaggius
And this concert is definitely not one of the best of the Empire tour. The band was even greater than this back then.
YEAHHHHHHHHHHH QR very good ALBUM in year1988 and 1990 the best

4 people are deaf.
clowns been listening to hem ur mama was changing ur shorts lmao
Geoff's vocals sound kind of half assed on this performance :( But this is a VERY hard song vocally.
