The tools you’ll need
1. A ratchet with a 7 mm and 10 mm socket.
2. A flat head screwdriver or a Plastic pry tool
3. Pliers or vice grips if needed

If you have small enough hands you can accomplish this without taking apart dash and center counsel… only had to take off the boot and shift knob. Wiggled my little girl fingers around in there and got r done! Your video was a huge help in knowing how it looked in there though. Most difficult part was getting it hooked back into boot properly. Definitely needed both my hands and a third to hold bottom of cable in place so i stopped pulling it out in the process. Thanks for the help!

Gotta add it was pretty difficult to get top of stock shift knob off with out completely destroying it. My hair dryer to loosen the adhesive and some patience in prying was the key. Did bust a clip but it popped back into place just fine. Edge was chewed up from prying so wrapped in duct tape for now until my cool new amazon knob comes in 😅

The only thing you can do is make sure the sheathing hits the stop at the bottom and on the shifter. It bows the cable out and yiu can feel it through the boot but that's the only real option

How and where did you wrap the cable to bake it shorter?

It’s two different model cables there’s one for the 2014 models after that cable is longer so it will take some troubleshooting to figure it out the 2013 model reverse lockout cable is shorter but they stop making that one because it was prone to breaking but I found one that was on eBay link in the description
