Dude you're doing too much work ...take the battery side plate off that's holding the pcm or tcm... unscrew the shift cable two screws that are holding it to the transmission and pull it up to you.... the part you can get at autozone its a g.m part dorman part number 14055.. its in the help me section. They will tell you at autozone that its a dealer part only but its NOT my eye test knew they didn't know. I had my broken shift bushing in my hand and compared it to the dorman part 14055 and i bought the part. I put a little oil for lube used my pliers and pressed it in and it worked perfectly. So to anyone with this issues YOU'RE WELCOME IN ADVANCE ✊🏿 the part costed about 20 dollars at autozone.

Thanks, I bought the part 14055 for $17.55 at autozone, unbolted the cable, and the part fit with a little help with a screwdriver and a pliers, was done in less than an hour. Thank you too! I'm so happy 👍
No need to take the battery tray out, just the side piece thats held in with 3 #10 bolts. Remove the 2 "13 bolts that secures the shifter cable on to of the transmission, and change the piece of shii bushing and snap it back in place, also wouldn't hurt to slip a zip tie over it.
You should be getting millions of views.I just got my dodge dart gt back from dealer for this same recall but now right headlight isn't working strangely. Do you know any reason this occurred.I really enjoyed your video very educational.

If not, you have to manually shift the gear by moving the elbow-shaped thing (under the battery) forward or backward to shift the gear. Most importantly, if you have a dart, go to the Dodge dealer. This is a recall #v34. They will take care of it. If you have to deal with it by yourself like the previous comment "Dorman #14055 (transparent one. Do not put it on the male part (you will find it hard to remove), before you put in the female part(the ring at the end of the cable). You may need to modify a head of it to make it in.)" worked in my dart.

I got stuck at a light yesterday because my care wouldn’t go it got stuck and when i tried to go it just rev. It would let me go into each gear but not go. I got a service transmission thing showing up all my gears are flashing when i move my shifter up and down through them all. Idk if this is the issue that i need to fix or if it’s something else
That sounds like a different issue, I would get the code read by autozone for free and they will be able to tell exactly what is wrong based on the service transmission code it’s throwing. They will be able to tell you the part you need and how much

Is this normal to happen repeatedly?....I've changed it twice in four days because it was broken, and the one I changed today a couple of hours ago just broke .... what am I doing wrong?

I got frustrated with the battery tray and just used a hole saw on the bottom of the tray lol.

Garnet Kelly could be that a ground wire wasn’t put back properly or just double check and make sure it doesn’t just need a new bulb

Make sure it snaps all the way in and that you’re not installing it upside down
