Pour some boiling water into your gravy boat while you prep the gravy, pour out when ready to fill, this will keep the gravy hotter longer.
Lol, I do that with my coffee cup in the winter 😁☕️
I like this idea. Thank you for sharing
What a great tip, thanks!
Such a great idea 🙂 thank you for sharing still learning at 54 yrs young 😂🥰
Great idea!
Watching this video before breakfast was not fair. Now I am hungry,! Lol. I am not American but I love your celebration and all the food and decorating. Wonderful video. Thank you
Kimmy watching your vlogs cheer me up. I have had a very rough year. March 11th my Dad passed away suddenly. I had two cancer scares. Luckily I don't have cancer. My Mom and I are disabled so getting around is very hard. You have cheered me up sooooooo much. Thank you for sharing your life and ideas with RUclips. Have a great Holiday Season.
I’m so glad I can be there for you!
I actually love the white serving plates and dishes! That way it's for all seasons! Definitely taking notes on these videos! Your Mom's rolls sounds amazing and looks so yummy!
Thank you for all that you do! Such a blessing!
I loved the flashbacks to previous thanksgivings. Wonderful idea!
Oh Kimmie, it was good to see video snippets of your old house. Watched you cook so many meals in that house!❤️🦃
I love, love, love this! Yes! Make long videos! Looking forward to your Christmas presentations! I'm just a 63 year old spinster lady but you inspire and motivate even a person like me. Keep them coming! God bless and keep you and your family today and always!
We go to my mother in laws for Thanksgiving but its just her and dad so i always leave with a gallon size bag of turkey. I use it the next day to make turkey gravy soup!
If you have never made it before or never heard of it, it is turkey turkey stock, onions celery and carrots. You make your turkey gravy homemade (or you can use jarred) and make it extra thick then add it to your soup mixture with chopped up turkey and let it cook all day and serve it with rolls. 😁
Sounds amazing!!
@@jenbarletta5540 oh it is. I used to work at a restaurant long ago and they would make it, so i actually learned it there. This was when i was a teenager i used to help prepare it every year they would make 4 huge stock pots of it and it would sell out every year. Stored the recipe in the memory bank and now i make it at home!
Nothing makes me happier and ready for the holidays than your planning videos!!! And 40 mins?!? Yes ma’am!
You could put the two different plates at the heads of the table so then it looks intentional for them to be different! Looks beautiful!
Love that idea!
I was just starting my Thanksgiving deep clean and was thinking oh I wish Kimmy had her Thanksgiving prep video up and violia you did!! 😍
Greetings from Massachusetts! Are you or your husband from here? I noticed the cutting board on your wall. 😀 we can’t wait for the wonderful Parade for Thanksgiving and all the festivities taking place. We love to walk along the Plymouth waterfront like the tourists enjoying all the food at the restaurants and then enjoy walking over to the Mayflower and try to imagine the courage these people had to have to cross the Atlantic in this ship to come here. Of course there’s Plymouth Rock and then we always take our out of town guests to Plymouth Plantation! Thank you for your wonderful videos I truly enjoy them. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! 🍁🍁🍁
That’s awesome! I’m from Worcester and have family in Plymouth.
I love to see how others celebrate Thanksgiving and the different foods they have.
I don’t understand the thumbs down…. Like why? This is amazing and Kimmy is wonderful.
Thank you Meagan
I do not see a thumbs down. Everyone has an opinion. All os us who LOVE Kimmie, know she is beyond words~~~~. Peace, no worry~~
I loved your blooper reel. My sister-in-law that always made the Lion's share of pies for everyone at holiday time. She and her daughter got together and made pie crust one Saturday several weeks before the holiday they would make enough and stack them between waxed papers three days before I'm making day they would put them in the fridge. I'm making day you just put the pie crust in the pan put the filling in finished it up and he's our baked it or baked up the meringue. She also had a lot of her fillings home canned and ready to go. I always thought it was a genius idea. She would have a whole big table and Island full of fresh pies. It always amazed me.
Michigan here🙋🙋🙋 Love your videos. Informative, inspirational and humorous. Great job😊
I'm also in Michigan - Grand Rapids!
It was really fun to watch your different Thanksgiving celebrations. I like how you keep a reminder of what you cooked and where you might have been each holiday, just fun to watch. And oh my goodness. Thank you for the sweet shout out. I so appreciate it.
I love that new roaster pan. Looks like a nice size too! Will be nice to have the extra room in the oven for other things! I LOVE your post-it notes in your dishes. I chuckled! I have done that for years!!! I set up bowls and dishes ahead of time too, and label them with post-its! Works perfectly!!!
At my age I don’t do all that work anymore. Have wonderful dinners.
OMG! You've changed a lot over the last few years. For the better, of course. Time flies fast... I can't believe I've been following you for three years now ☺️.
Yes, I love cooking the same menu yearly and then having a new dish along side the usual menu
Yes to long videos! I always have anxiety Sunday nights. I need something like this to relax too. I love you and your channel!
Thank you Kimmy for all the hours of work to make such a fun and helpful video. I am homesick for America right now so much, so seeing all of your American Thanksgiving foods and all the Thanksgiving talk has been so comforting to me. Thank you.
"Stuffing Kimmy" 😂🤣😂 I loved this video! Seeing the blasts from the past warmed my heart. Caley, at the end, sounded like you! 💕
I’ve watched you make the cranberry relish for a few years now and haven’t tried it yet. Will try it hopefully this holiday season! Also I want to try the shrimp dip but will make it with dairy free cream cheese. Crossing my fingers that I don’t ruin it. I love holiday meals and baking...thanks for the inspiration!
‘It’s a boy’ 😂😂😂 I’ve watched this while in the kitchen making Sunday dinner, we are having roast chicken, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire puddings, carrots, and pigs in blankets (mini sausages wrapped in bacon! Not dough :) )! Yum! I got to go to our first in person Sunday school lesson and the kids got to go to primary today since last March! Was so good! Happy Sunday!
My kids and nieces and their family are taking over thanksgiving and Christmas! I think I will miss making and planning.
In my family it’s not a holiday meal without my great grandmas recipe for peanut butter pie. It tastes like a Reese’s cup but is the texture of cheesecake
Im from uk but i love all the excitement of your holiday. Great food prep ......im gonna do a binder for christmas. As im a veggie i love trying different ways to improve christmas dinner every year. Great video x
Took a note from my daughter and bought extra silverware from a clearance section and Good Will... pays for itself quick and no need to buy the plastic ones ❤️
Love Love your videos... thank you and keep them coming!
Thank you
When I got married my husband picked out a silverware pattern he liked, for years I was never able to find anymore-now I see them at Goodwill all the time-good place to grab some extras for really cheap. 👏👏
I love your planner! Its the first one I have ever stuck with...can't wait to get the new one!
I make my own pumpkin pies and would love to know how you do yours. Looking forward to your video
After going to the grocery store earlier and seeing all the Thanksgiving items on display plus this… I’m excited about Thanksgiving. It was my mama’s favorite holiday 🦃
I’m with ya on the Aprons! Oh and notebooks and planners! 😉😉😉
Loved the video. Me and hubby had a date today and now we are just getting home so I am making chicken salad for a quick dinner later if we're hungry, and popping some crossiants in the oven. We did friendsgiving one year but now all our friends are moved and not near us anymore, but loved it the year we did it. I'm in Canada so we already had Thanksgiving 🇨🇦 have a great day. Loved the blasts from the past
I'm thankful, that for you and yours, Thanksgiving will be a happy family time with wonderful food!
The progress from your previous videos compared to now is amazing 👏 . Love your serving dishes 😍 major upgrade.
Thank you
There is something so wholesome about your channel. It’s crazy to think that I’ve been watching since…probably 2017
You inspired me to plan thanksgiving using the binder. Been watching you for a few years. Happy holidays to your family from mine!
The end of the video was so fun and funny to watch. I cannot wait to watch your next video. It was so much fun getting to know how to try new dishes, I cannot wait.
Kimmy, thank you for the long video.I can’t get enough of you and your great tips.My Sunday has been blessed from your post.I am waiting to order my 2022 planner. So many choices on covers!😍God bless you and the family.Much love from Illinois.😍🙏❣️
Kimmy love seeing your old house I do miss it but looking forward to thanksgiving and Christmas 🎄.. can’t wait to order the planner so excited
It cost us $54 for a 19 lb turkey here in Washington 🤔
Loving all of your table settings and how you plan out your events!
Love the skits at the end. A few recipes I always get asked to make are veggie wraps, stuffed mushrooms and broccoli salad. Thanks for the video
I love long videos. I cook and clean while watching videos so the longer the better. Thank you!! In the kitchen, apron on, let's go!
Thank you for discussing how cumin can bring out the yumminess! Hurray for you! Thank you for all you do for us!!!
I am so happy that the planner is coming out next week. I ALMOST hit the button on an EC yesterday but pouted that I could not get yours and put the computer away.
Last year was out first Thanksgiving at where we now live. Even though I had the turkey in the fridge for 3 days it was still frozen solid the day before. I had always wet brined my turkey the day before. That went out the window and I spent the day giving the turkey a water bath to thaw it. Then I just seasoned it well with salt and let it sit in the fridge uncovered overnight. Everyone loved the turkey this way and said it was better. So then I had to sit down and remember what I did on the fly to write it down and repeat this year.
I just bought 5 turkeys for under $30 I am donating 1 to a friend who has a tight budget and going to cook the rest throughout the year and freeze it
Were they discounted, how did that low price come to be for turkeys?
@@marykoufalis7666 I got them from my Giant grocery store they were or maybe still are .39 a lb and I was going to go 1 day but then I checked my sneak peak ad for the store and saw that deal so I was like I am going that day instead
I just got them Friday so if you have a store around you I would check it out
@@AliceCullen0890 Thank you for letting me know but I live in Montreal..lol..I think it is very thoughtful of you to offer one to your friend. Very kind.
Great video, I hadn't watched this channel in a year and a half. Wow kimmy is back.
Yay! These seriously are my most favorite videos of yours!! I have adopted so many of your tips and tricks!!! I love cooking my Turkey in my roaster and leaving my oven free to cook everything else.
I have made sooo many of your thanksgiving recipes over the years. They are always a hit. Thanks for sharing Kimmy! Great motivator video! 🦃✔️🙌🏻❤️
Great tips, thanks and I ordered the 2022 planner. Can’t wait to see it!!
Thanks, I did get inspired to change up my table this year.
IWe just took inventory, organized our deep freezers. We always buy 2 turkeys as the price is usually decent. So many meals for the next year! Love all your planning. Only 3 of us here. I now have Osteoarthritis & Fibromyalgia. Also, have to have vein surgery ( stents) in legs. Yep, 65 & now, for sure, pre-plan. Pre make! Love & Blessings from Florida.
Such good information!! Hugs from Western, N.Y. I am adding the Pumpkin Pie Dip this year! I am usually just here by myself, so if I make things I share with others that don't have much, or the elderly that are alone too. I stock up ahead of time, so mostly ready for many meals. However not as much as you do, as I am here alone. That's ok, as my family lives all over the country. We do zoom though. Planning on a cooking zoom one of these days! That should be fun.
I always love your holiday planning videos!
Ahhh love watching the clips from years past. I miss the old house!!
The cranberry salsa has become a staple . I save half and put it over my dressing leftovers. We have some anti cream cheese people around lol so I have some without the cheese always on the table.
I loooove these videos! I married into a family that doesn’t cook, so they just buy a Bob Evans dinner with sides and call it a day, but I always bring a corn casserole! Home cooking was such a tradition I grew up with! 😭😭
This motivated me to plan Thanksgiving and Christmas too! Small dinner this year, but always adding and trying different dishes and appetizers each year. Fun video!
I started watching your channel after Halloween 2019 so the first thing I followed you thru was Thanksgiving and I enjoy watching your process every Friendsgiving/Thanksgiving
I usually do Thanksgiving with my immediate family. Husband, son, his mom and brother. We all contribute making different things. A favorite of mine is my brother in laws tex mex cornbread stuffing.
Taste of Home has a really good egg bake recipe. Cheese Sausags Strata. Super easy and tasty. I add a whole red bell pepper and extra cheese. Use crusty bread, like French. Regular slices are too squishy. It smells so good when cooking and freezes well once made.
I plan on making a few batches of this egg bake this month.
One other thing I will make is spiced cranberry orange jelly. It's a little tart but not overly so. It cans well too. Great on toast.
I hope you have a great week!
It was so nice going back in time to see what you prepared! Great tip on trying a recipe before the big day! So glad Kally & Felix are joining you this Thanksgiving!
Thanks Katie
A tip... mashed potatoes are delicious made ahead. Make them as usual top with a few pats of butter/salt and pepper and just reheat in the oven on the day of. So good. Like twice backed potatoes. And much easier then making the day of. 🤗
One snack I suggest we use on our graze table is a block of cream cheese with a jar of cocktail sauce on top with a pile of tiny salad shrimp served with triscuts 🤤🤤 so yummy 🤤
Prices are rising here for sure mostly on milk, cereals, tinned items, certain meats. fuel rises, energy rises, eg gas and electricity. so not just-food. some fresh produce too, notice a difference practically every week more or less here in England. we have already made provisions in case of food shortages at Christmas. xxx
I'm in Alaska and it's the same. Either you cant find it or it's much more in price.
Here in Austria it's the same, prices are rising, food, gas,....
Oh my goodness!! The new planners look fantastic! And I thought I couldn't love one more than I do your current one! I am soooo excited! Thank you Kimmy for all you do for us!
Thank you
Our Thanksgiving menu NEVER varies so my oldest son isn't sad on Turkey day lol! Except for the turkey and the ingredients for green bean casserole (I make from scratch so I want the freshest ingredients!) I have purchased everything I need for our Thanksgiving dinner. I do enjoy watching how other families prepare and celebrate tho
Me too ! I have saved grocery lists from 1986! If I want to ever experiment, I make it for work lol
Kimmy I believe is the one that made the from scratch Green bean casserole that you make ahead one year It’s from scratch I do it every year except this one ☝️…Not able 😉
Im from Boston area. My holiday meals stays the same as well. Turkey, homemade bread stuffing, mashed squash, mashed turnip, mash potatoes, creamed onions, cream cauliflower. Cranberry sauce, olives, pickles. Pies glore!
I love your thanksgiving content!!!! So exciting
I love when u do these prep for the holidays type videos! Also want to get ur new 2022 planner but have to wait till im back in Canada, hopefully b4 Christmas!
Happy holidays Kimmy & co. ✌🥳
I can't wait to get my hands on my new planner!
I’m in Michigan our local Meijer grocery store has Meijer brand turkeys for .33 cents a pound.
All other groceries prices are up in price. Beef prices are really up! I used to get roast for $3.49 a pound on sale . I am lucky to get it for $5.99 a pound on sale now.
Wow! I had no idea you have all these holiday videos!👍👍❤️
I used to work at Williams Sonoma and their focaccia stuffing used to be a staple at thanksgiving for our large family and everyone LOVED it! Then I tried Trader Joe’s cornbread stuffing and my goodness it tastes the same and is a huge hit every year! You will love Trader Joe’s stuffing for a fraction of the price, trust me!
Can you please please please come out with a digital planner like this!!! I love your planners but I do all my planning on my iPad.
Blessings to you and your family. Love watching your videos you always give such good ideas and food ideas . I have a roaster been using it for years love it . Praying yall have a blessed Thanksgiving God's favor and grace to you and your family. Here in Texas Walmart has the best price on turkey but everyone is high on hams I'm the only one in my family that likes turkey so I'm cooking a nice plump chicken lol. Prices here are about the same as there everything has gone up. Blessings
You could maybe just get a turkey breast or a boneless turkey roll.
I am enjoying this video so much, I notice how picture perfect your Turkey is year after year, I am hoping you have made a video on how you did it, I plan to go on a search for it right after this lol, what a fun video, thanks so much for sharing, I'm now ready to stuff my face on Thanksgiving
and I keep seeing a wonderful looking strawberry dessert, I tried to read the planner, I think it might be a strawberry pretzel salad?? Another search lol
Could you post the shrimp dip recipe? I couldn’t see it that well on the video. Thanks!!
I bought our turkey a 10 pounds one for around 15 dollars in Texas so it's not too expensive we have felt very blessed here, thanks for everything you do I appreciate it!
I am in the Dallas area and I was just happy I even found a turkey. It is slim pickings around here.
I just cooked our turkey ahead of time since I don't have enough room for the huge turkey in the freezer so now the turkey is done yeah! Now I just have to make the other stuff maybe I should make them ahead of time thanks for you're ideas and sharing it has really been helping me, take care!
I get laughed at because I print up my plans and put into sheet protectors and have a binder for it
LOVE that I am NOT the only one!
I am hosting my family Christmas - lunch for 15. I am so excited!
I bought a roaster last year what a game changer. Because it was on Clearence at Walmart I picked one up for my daughter. She was happy. Enjoy, it will be a great helper. I started getting ready in Oct, didn't want to be rushed and wanted to make sure I was able to get stuff. Picked up a Turkey at Albertson pd about 1.74 a pound. It's in the freezer. Happy Holidays
That’s great!!!
Hi Kimmy! Great video!! Fun seeing the clips from the past 😊. Yes, I’ve seen prices on pretty much everything go up. I got my turkey for free. Every year our supermarkets around here give you a free turkey when you reach a certain amount that you have spent (within the last month or so). There’s actually a few options they offer on the free item. For me the one thing that has to be on the table for Thanksgiving is mashed potatoes & gravy 😁. Looks like you have everything organized and you’re ready to go 👍🏻😁. Hope you’re having a great day! 🍁🦃🍁
That’s awesome about the free turkey!
That's really nice!
I'm so excited about your planner I can't wait till it comes out so I can see if it's in my budget❤
We are doing a lasagna and stuffed shells for thanksgiving dinner and then a ham and turkey for Christmas.
I bought the same white plates with the little knobby things on them at dollar tree, may check there.
Ive used my roaster for years! Just a heads up they seem to cook faster so keep an eye on it :)
Love the table decorating! Looks perfect! Planning pages are also great too. I use something similar and it's a game changer!
Hey Kimmy!!! I love these videos! Been watching you from the beginning! Question, when do you do Friendsgiving? What date usually?
I can not wait for the 2022 planner!
We've been using roaster ovens for our turkeys for years and consistently have the juiciest, most flavorful turkeys! But here's what we do to achieve that- rub butter and seasonings all over the outside of the turkey, put aromatic vegetables inside the cavity (we usually put onion halves, celery stalks, and lemon wedges), and the most important thing- buy a meat injector and regularly inject the juices back into the thicker parts of the turkey) SOOO GOOOOD.
I feel like there is a serious lack of Thanksgiving videos, I love them thank you!
More to come!
I love your long videos and always look forward to your holiday planning countdown videos. I’ve learned so much from you on how create a packs guide . This was a special treat presenting past videos. Great idea Kimmie . I’m in SoCal and everything has increased . Turkeys just barely have been put out . Frozen Butterballs .99 Jennie O .87 per pound just today . Can’t wait for more holiday planning videos and still hunting for that thanksgiving template .👏🏽👨🏼🍳🦃🍂🙏🏽
Our turkeys in Minnesota are over 80-90¢ lb
Canned goods have doubled since beginning of summer.
Gas is about $3.18/gal.
A gal of milk is about $3-4.50.
I love your holiday videos kimmy 🤗😁 I love it your amazing kimmy keep being beautiful and awesome
I'm in North Texas, saw Butterball turkeys for 87 cents/lb
at Aldis. Limit of 2
Love to see you and Heather laughing in the old video 😊
You do a beautiful job with your tablescapes! And wow, what an amazing meal you make! I’m hosting a few people for the first time in years-my mom, brother, his wife, and their 8-year old son-and I like to keep it more simple, with just a few dishes, because doing too much stresses me out. But I admit, now I want to run to Walmart and get a drink dispenser, stuff for that cranberry drink, and pretty (paper) plates…and maybe placemats! Lol. Where did you get those?
