Well actually (adjusts glasses), Wilting Sapwood gives half of their income to charity every paycheck. They also are secretly glad when you pass them up. They use their downtime to volunteer at the local orphanage and grow organic foods for the homeless at the community garden. Everyone says that Wilting Sapwood grows the best tomatoes and has a way with plants...probably because they are one.
My first treeboi divinity kill (literally 2 days ago) was so much like this. I also had picked up an unbroken horn and exactly 0 ways to use energy I was so ember bloated.
I will maintain that as it currently exists Sapwood has only one single valid use: infusing into Eel Gorgon if you whiff on siren of the sea and awoken hallow. It's servicable to put it nicely, and awoken has enough +Stat cards that you can get away with it on low shard runs. Now you're almost certainly not getting away with it on a trainwreck without some absurd highroll, but to it's credit despite being the worst unit in the game by far Sapwood isn't 100% irredeemable.
I guess it's 2 ember better than a Train Steward infusion, but it's still got the downside that you had to draft Wilting Sapwood in the first place and didn't get a free Train Steward removal out of it haha.
I would have definitely picked rootsplit mask and struggled. Pew-pew ! That aside, would this run have been less cursed at 100 shards ? Or is the seed just kinda bad until it pops off ?

This is actually how I mastered Wilting Sapwood. Well I had a level of sweep wyndelten.
