Daniel Hill MMLP2 BadmeetsEvil Hell the sequel, Recovery are all good albums. I personally didn't like relapse due to the accents but people love it and the actual rapping and beats are great. The only bad album is revival in comparison to those.

What kills me about Veteran Rappers like Em, is that they know who to go to and have the resources to make great music and shit like this happens.
I really really think they don’t. I don’t think it’s as easy for them I think for us we see the general perception of which producer works and what doesn’t, but Rick Rubin is literally one of the most important producers in hip hop history. It isn’t like he just made crazy 80s “rock” beats, dude did the black album that was not that long ago, and he MADE a lot of those songs what they were. So I really don’t get why people are acting like it was supposed to be obvious that he would shit the bed here like they’re treating him like “why would you work with him” and not like a top 5 hip hop producer alive

Most were. I like K. Dot's DAMN., but listening to his previous work I knew he could do better. Yet, it wasn't bad (Nothing like Revival), just above average at best.
Nah its bad but It doesn't hit Encore levels of bad. It gets there but it takes something special to beat encore
Not bouta defend Encore cause that album is a low point in Em's career, but like half of Encore were good tracks. Evil Deeds, Never Enough, Yellow Brick Road, Like Toy Soldiers, Mosh, Mockingbird, One Shot 2 Shot, Encore, & all three bonus tracks. Recovery had two: On Fire & Untitled. Revival has two: Framed & Offended. …So in comparison, Encore really wasn't that bad.
Revival's really not that bad. Remind Me and Heat were the only tracks that are truly indefensible. The way he actually raps on it elevates it above Relapse, or at least to the same level as Relapse. We need to quit with all this talk that it was a bad album. If Revival came out and we didn't know who Eminem was, everyone would be like "wow this dude can really spit".
It's this Alex da Kid producer. I was doing some research and apparently he co writes everything he works on with artists. He also produced I Need A Doctor, B.o.B- Airplanes, Love the Way You Lie, Diddy- Coming Home, Imagine Dragons- Radioactive. So that should explain why the album is the way it is.

Em needs to get back to basics with the production team he works with...this Alex da Kid/ Rick Rubin era is NOT working, on his best albums he’s only worked with like 5-6 different people production wise, on his past 3 albums he was working with like 15 people, that’s why it wasn’t cohesive sonically at least...but idk wtf Em was doing with his bars tho
Return Flight he needs to work with people who understand his talent and the culture of today’s music. He’s surrounded by yes men. He needs to really find him self and work with Dr Dre again and Bass Brothers.
I think having Mr Porter working behind him for alot of this album was a huge handicap for him as well. He needs songs more like Believe, which was his owm production. He sounds best on an Em or Dre beat.

I've been supporting Em since 1999, when I copped SSLP in February of that year. This album made me sad listening to it, I felt like it was the funeral for Em's career. Then I just heard the "Chloraseptic (REMIX)" with Em spitting that fire we love him for, but still hoping that Slim Shady is not just making a cameo, because I want him to be the co-star again.

Agree with this review. I felt Em in Castle and Arose, too. Could you guys maybe do a short review on Chloraseptic remix? I feel like Em redeemed himself quite a bit in dropping that. He was being the diss head we love.

My favorite tracks on the album are “Believe” (mainly for the beat), “Tragic Endings” ft. Skylar Grey, and “In Your Head”.

When he was talking about the last album line in castles and arose he was talking from the perspective of him from 2007 when he was almost died and he gonna put out King Mathers which was a cancelled album he was working on while he was going through his drug addiction from 2005-2007. Listen to those tracks again and you can clearly tell he was talking about where he was right before the overdose. He’s gonna put out more. He has to. Em wouldn’t let his career end on this. He takes backlash personally. I️ liked the album but I️ was very disappointed in what I️ got but for what it was I️ enjoyed it (not because I️ am a stan but because I️ couldn’t help but enjoy the music).
I thought Framed was dope as fuck.... I really liked his flow, the beat, and the hook.
He criticized pop stars and other Emcees for using pop stars, then turns around and start making songs with Pop stars. Eminem is a joke.
