If your OBS f150 doesn't crank unless you pull up on the shifter or only cranks in neutral this could be your problem! Follow me on Instagram @brando_b23
Thanks for the vid on repinning the plug. One thing you may want to glance at is the bracket on the bottom of the column that the shift cable hooks to. Its held on with two T30 bolts and they are notorious for coming loose. Its a 5 minute fix and will eliminate one possible cause.
Check and / or change your throttle body position sensor, tips, and check for leaks on the intake to throttle body system ,the computer/ transmission gets its information from this to know how to shift,it will shift hard to second and third if there is a problem here.
So my e150 94 van is going exact same. Esp the hard shift at end of your video. It was shifting really hard all of a sudden just before whole thing died & wouldntvrestart. So the NSS is an issue but wondering what end result was on the sloppy needle- find the letter pertaining to what you want. ( which had been like that since I bot at 58000 original miles. It drove to Canada & back great that way. Till this not starting and then the final hard shift death.
Trans is shifting on full line pressure because its not getting correct info from your new switch ,In my opinion I would revisit your repin job ,probably best to do one wire at a time Regards
good thinking! I also looked at the plug for the solenoid pack, and the pins don't match. I believe that's the cause. I want to swap that and check again. but yes, I'll look at the re-pin job for sure!
Hey bud, any updates? This video might help explain why your PRND indexing was off after you installed the new MLPS. Cheers! Copied to appropriate time: ruclips.net/video/xwylHHNhoOw/видео.html

I looked for that too! that bolt was tight, good tip for others tho!

Did you put your truck in neutral when installing the neutral safety switch,
Yes sir! Had to take the shift cable off. Since it seized internally.
If you didn’t have your truck in neutral when you took the mlps off, and put the new one back on, that would throw your shifting linkage off.
Yeah I double checked it was, shift cable locked up, one of those random coincidences when working on old trucks ha!

Didnt see it anywhere but did you figure this out?
still working on it, seems to have been a bad solenoid pack. making a video on it just don't know when I'll be done with it.

Did you figure out hard shifting?
Not yet, I think I narrowed it down to the solenoid pack. we'll see tho.
