From Buck Stahl’s two-year effort to personally lay the concrete bricks around the home, to the pivotal loan from a Black-owned bank that helped make their dream house a reality, these stories live on through the next generation. Today, this iconic Case Study House is carefully preserved to honor its remarkable origins and legacy.

Absolutely loved touring this house. What a special place.
Such an iconic house with a very human story to tell.
We brought the kids to visit the home years ago. Even as youngsters, they really connected with the house and stories of the Stahl family. It remains a special memory for our family to this day.
Few can compare to the unique overall history etc. It amazes me it still stands beautifully.
Thank you PBS SoCal for the amazing work! And congrats for the family for the maintenance and preservation of such a work of art.

How incredibly fortunate for this family. As they noted, getting in on that land was not allowed for those of other races which is a tragedy still being felt. However it is still a beautiful home.
