    Great videos! Any chance you could put a video together of all the necessary wiring? More detailed of the wiring part? How would you wire in a rechargeable battery instead of needing a power cord..? And where could you wire in internal LED lighting...

    • @SoundBlab
      @SoundBlab  8 лет назад

      These videos are not really intended to be instructional. So right now I don't have any diagrams available and unfortunately don't have the time to put something together. But I will plan a future build that will come with plans. Can't say when that'll be though...
      Wiring for these things are however rather straight forward, and by following the diagram that comes with the amplifier module that you use, you really can't go wrong. If that still is not helpful, I suggest that you try to go on to one of the Hifi Forums online where someone will definitely be able to assist.

    Quick question actually. Do you encounter any issues with Groundloop from your BT + Amp board? As in unwanted weird noises when it's idling/at low volume?

    • @SoundBlab
      @SoundBlab  8 лет назад

      +Barry Llewellyn YT The board I am using has both bluetooth and amp all integrated and produces no noise. I do believe that separate bluetooth and amp modules can cause noise. A ground loop isolator would normally solve this problem, or run both modules off its own power supply.

    • @foorje
      @foorje 8 лет назад

      +SoundBlab When I was making a bluetooth battery (12v Lead Acid) powered boombox I did ran into this issue. Little signal level ground loop isolators are relatively cheap tho when you get them from china, you can get them for like ~€3,50.

    • @BarryLlewellynYT
      @BarryLlewellynYT 8 лет назад

      +foorje Thanks for the reply guys. It's ok, I'm well familiar with ground loop isolation, was just curious about whether it was a problem with this board or not :)

      It seems from what I've gathered that the chinese do know their shit when you buy these all in one boards, yeah.

    Do you always calculate the enclosure volume and resonator-port-length to the corresponding loudspeaker chassis you put in?

    • @SoundBlab
      @SoundBlab  8 лет назад

      Yes, otherwise the outcome is just a guess and you can end up with a system that does not sound optimal. Sealed enclosures are far more forgiving, but ported enclosures can either sound lean or boomy when not tuned precisely.

    Can you buy all the technick stuff (speakers, amp) in a set, that you only have to build a chest and conect the wires.

    • @SoundBlab
      @SoundBlab  8 лет назад

      +Max Roskam Unfortunately not. Speakers were salvaged from an old sound system, and other parts were bought from eBay or local shops in my city.

    i have a question, does your power supply have an output power of 200W since your amp has a max output of (2x 50W +100W) 200W.

    • @SoundBlab
      @SoundBlab  8 лет назад

      +Thomas Jongsma No, the two are not entirely directly related. The 200W is what the amplifier can produce as music output with a load (speaker resistance) of 4 Omhs. In order to produce that output effectively (not under strain) the amplifier power supply must be able to produce 4.5Amps of current at 24V. This gives 108W that the power supply can produce so that the amp can deliver 200W of music power. This is a very simple explanation, but hope it helps.

    • @SoundBlab
      @SoundBlab  8 лет назад

      All salvaged from old broken nondescript sound systems. I will be looking at designing and building something in the future that can be replicated with plans and parts of the shelf, but have no timing on that right now.

    Hi there, my grandson wants to know how much it cost you to make this?

    • @SoundBlab
      @SoundBlab  8 лет назад

      That is honestly to difficult to say. Most of the parts have been salvaged from an old system and the wood comes from my workshop with only some parts having been CNC cut. The amplifier and power supply was purchased. But if counting only the parts I paid for it was between US$100 and US$150.

      SoundBlab Yeah, ive already made 1 speaker with a plexiglass side, and im thinking about putting it on the one im building right now. That one didnt have any leds drilled and glued in it to make it shine, but as the box of the speaker that im building right now has 1 of the sides sliding, i might put some in this one.

    • @SoundBlab
      @SoundBlab  8 лет назад +1

      Thanks. The idea was to re-create the Insta icon as close as possible. The fabric and vinyl provides the closest in material use and texture that represents the icon accurately. With paint and stain it would be so much more difficult to mimic. This is also not really a woodworking project that calls for intricate details. Hope that helps you understand my choices in this project :)
