I'm bad with that as well, I did all led swap in my 03' about 3 years ago and just installed resistors. That double turn signal looks better than the drls that never work...good stuff man
Thank you, that’s the whole reason I wanted to do it because those dang DRLs continue to burn up. Switchbacks will be going in soon so stay tuned for that. I think it will look a lot better.
@@AaronCates I did the switchbacks out the gate and it's worth it, your setup will be awesome with them. Both my drls have been burned out for the last 3 years but I know what I'm doing with them now. A buddy if mine sent me to your channel to see your 4.56 gear video now I'm thinking I need to get that done being on a 8" lift on 35s and going to 37s soon. Where abouts in fl you at?
What kind of led headlights do you have and where did you get them from? Looking to get a set but it’s hard to find a good led light that’s reliable and shines good
The front turn signals should be using a yellow lens or yellow leds. The way it is now is illegal. You could get a ticket or fail inspection the way it is now.
All lights being emitted from the front of a vehicle must be amber or white in color. All lights from the rear must be white or red in color. I know that for a fact.
That double signal looks so much better then 1. And the switchbacks will really set it off! Just watch resistor placement they get hot as hell quick and will melt plastic or wires

@@AaronCates What was the issue with the DRLs not staying on? Only the constant power supply? Would love to share with you pics of my 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500hd classic body style that I built and am improving bc of your videos!
What was wrong with the DRL not working on the driver's side? And how did you fix it? Appreciate it!

Are the resistors still working? I want to do the same but I'm not sure if the resistors will last.
Why didn't you use a flasher module?
What do you mean a flasher module? Never heard of it.
@@AaronCates He means a flasher module used when towning a trailer, it doesn't change the flash frequency using leds.
Awesome man! Do you have a link to Turn Signal Lights??
The bulbs, bulb socket or resistors?
Aaron Cates bulbs and bulb sockets haha
mine only comes on with the turn signal how can i make it stay on ?
mine to bruh i’m tryna find out why
@@tzxytex2171 bad brown wire im wiring a constant power to it as a fix
@@Tr3ygocraa how do u do that ?

Great idea, looking forward to seeing it with the switchbacks.
Stay tuned until next Wednesday, already ordered them.

So, to eliminate the DRLs, you just cut them out completely and wire the new plug directly to the factory turn signal wiring?
Do you have to turn the lights on for them to stay on
Hell yeah I wanna see the other truck
Going to pick it up this weekend!
Sweet!
Can’t I just ground the ground wire from new socket to metal to get constant power
did that work ?

May be different in your state but white is legal in mine.
Evey State has it's own laws. Always check before modifications! I live in NJ and as long as they are white or amber facing forward you're good.
I would have just changed out the flasher module would have made getting rid of hyper flash so much easier

I’ll have the switchbacks video up Wednesday and I made sure that the resistor isn’t touching anything.
Badass idea bro!
I hate seeing people with hyper flash 😂 like you said. It’s cheap and easy I guess most people don’t care
I’m guilty, I had it for probably 2 years. It would annoy me but I never bought the load resistors although they are so cheap.
