FMS T-28D V2 Trojan 800mm (31.5") Wingspan RC Airplane PNP With Reflex Gyro System
Overview
Designed to replace the aging T-6 Texan, the T-28 Trojan was a piston engine military trainer aircraft used by both the US Air Force and the US Navy. The Navy continued to use this as the primary trainer right up to the early 1980’s.
FMS has chosen the most recognizable Navy color scheme for this outstanding flying model. Incorporating many scale features such as nose gear steering, dummy 9 cylinder radial engine, scale three blade prop and spinner make for an interesting model These features plus the power provided by the efficient brushless motor, will look great on the deck as well as screaming down the flying strip of your club.
With the Plug and Play version you will need your own Radio System of choice, Battery and Charger to be able to fly this model.

@@PetrincicBrosRC maiden didn't go well. Used a new receiver and controller that I'm not familiar with. It's a odd set up. Like my throttle was reversed. And I had it all ready. Took to field and wouldn't take off. So I hand launched it and went to go up and instead it went down. Elevator was reversed. Luckily only broke the prop. Ordered one while I was still at the field.
I just built this plane. Seeing you fly and review it gives me confidence and makes me excited to go fly it.

There's nothing more frustrating than watching someone fly like they want to bend the wings and strip the servos....
Having left RC planes when we lost our slope soaring BEE Wing on the first flight, we went to cars because they wouldn't fly away. There too we saw many people abuse the power and speed of their models and lack all passion and love for modelling, they just want to GO FAST and in no time, they're bent into a wall.
Meanwhile in Slovenia, the slow and sexy team makes the RC Love stronger. If there's no passion, then RC is just a toy, it's the passion that makes modelling and RC, that is why when you fly smooth, sexy and land your plane like this, it fills me with joy too, my son thinks you're one of the best flyers to watch, because we HAVE broken many models, not because we tried, but because we needed to learn more...

PS: The little red light on the front of cameras to tell you it's recording is called a "TALLY LAMP" don't ask me why, I guess they were counting film rolls once...

The radios, gyros, motors and speedies are all better, cheaper and give you half a chance to bring her home, a lot better than it was 40 years ago with a 2ch AM. We did the same, 1/10 IC touring

Well done Robert & Blaz, i received mine last week & have been flying it at our beach here 🇦🇺🦘flies just like yours with 1000 2c … lol. I now have 3 c 1300 & 700 but need to make a JST to EC2 or XT2 adapter. Love my 1.1 Yellow & 400mm volantex.

I had the original V1 model of this plane, could not fly it until I installed a gyro. Overall quality of the T 28 very good .Salute from Pgh PA.
Interesting that this one doesnt need gyro asist to fly good. I wasnt using it this time. I will test it on flight review when I will fly on 3S and hand launch it.

Another good video. You know, Robert, you are so right when you say you never know what is going to happen tomorrow. For the past 3 years, my club has been flying out of a small private airport here in the States with the blessing of the owners. Well, yesterday, with no warning, the owners decided they didn’t want us to fly there any more. Now we have one hundred club members with nowhere to fly. I am going to join another club but the field is nowhere near as nice as that one. A sad day yesterday for many rc lovers here.
Now that is really sad my friend. I hope you will find soon even better flying place. I can imagine that we lose our runway someday. Good luck to all and say Hi to them from Pilot Robert

I just bought this FMS T-28 myself. The 800mm Corsair too. Which Spectrum Rx did you use?
FMS makes a 1400mm T-28 as well. AirHammer out!!
Iam watching one 1.4m in yellow color. But its really expensive. Iam using 6ch antenaless reciever. The ywork perfect.

Captain Blaz your filming and zooming skills were well demonstrated here once more, along with pilot Roberts great flying skills. Please can you tell me what video camera you are using as it seems to be well suited for recording this great hobby.
Thanks Peter for such kind words. We are using Sony Ax33 camera.
While DSLRS and still cameras can produce amazing quality, the traditional video camera always wins when shooting "golf balls". It's the Autofocus methods that differ and video cameras are design to shoot moving objects. Stabilisation and/or a really good tripod is essential for the long zoom shots as well. They all suffer finding focus when zoomed in, specially if there's no contrast, because video cameras use an edge contrast focus and it's hard to differentiate the near and far if you're too zoomed in. Ideally, a two camera shoot would solve the issues, one for the CHASE cam that loses focus and a LONG zoomed set infinte focus to fill the gaps, but the boys don't edit, so they do pretty good for what they have.
Is the reflex V2 worth buying for my Tiger Moth, My plane is all stick built, It takes a S2000. Super Tiger engine and it's big, I don't I won't a go stabilizing system???
100% agree with you out of them all the 750 - 800mm the T28 is the BEST and its FMS.... I use 1000mAh 3S in mine and you really do not need the Reflex Gyro.. it flys really well without it the good thing is you can switch the Reflex OFF.. if you want to do so - I fly mine from a grass airfield but it is well maintained and cut short- this will fly SLOW as well as FAST - great flying envelope - Your undercarriage does look a little bent out !? - did you do that - mine is as it comes and still works great... I love it. I never use gyros in my planes. Even EFlite ones. Usualy Iam using simple anntenaless 6ch Spektrum recievers. The work perfect.

Why is your main landing gear squatted outward? ive got at least a thousand flights on my little Trojan T-28 and ive gotta say they have the strongest landing gear ive have had on any of my planes!
They came like this from the box. I was also wonderong if they should be like this. But they do work great so I will leave them like this.
