Two things u differently that so many RC plane RUclipsrs; U have a dedicated camera man so we can really what the plane is doing most of the time, you discuss the plane as u fly giving us information useful to a buy/no buy decision and tips on how to fly it. I have the Eflite 1.2 versions of both of these planes and I like them a lot. May try these someday after your review. I would like to have a small plane I can throw in the front seat and take to a nearby park.
To be fair, a lot of other channels have dedicated cameramen, including our buddies over at Tail Heavy Productions. But you are correct, we do tend to talk about the airframe's performance constantly. It's a big factor in whether something is worth buying or skipping over.
Really nice planes, love the T-28, just got the 1.1m one, very relaxing to fly. I know it's not your usual type of planes but it's nice to see something you don't regularly fly once in a while.
Awesome, the fms 800 corsiar is my full on basher plane, can run them on the 2200 3s but the 1350mah 3s seems the best doesn't seem to sacrifice much run time...
Gah, I lost my p51 today from a low battery, still lost as to how I did that, it was in my full battery bag and I had telemetry. Anyways 30 seconds in the air and my transmitter starts screaming low voltage, before I knew it wind was carrying it away, didn't have enough power to bring it back and off it went. Can't even find it. 😒 I just spent 3 hours weathering it and minwaxing it. My loss, great plan flights good and looks nice. Has a lot of authority as well. She will stall in slow flight but it's durable as hell. Great video, hope yall do some more small planes, I as of now fly 64mm and smaller. Largest plane is 1400mm fms skytrainer 182
Fms loves to use aluminum/fiberglass spars. Unless their PNP are topping $300. Their jets & pitts I know use CF spars. (I.E. the 'floppy wings'. MY 2.3M fox I had, fiberglass spar.. it did the nicest 'pterodactyl' ever seen, just -expo n elevator work 😁🤷♂️)
Take a small cut of foam board and remove like a quarter in of foam but leave paper on both sides and epoxy it to the existing "rudder" and paint it I did that recently and it worked well but use slow set so you can get it perfect
@@TwoBrosRC did you get my msg I found a fun cub out here for 50 bucks and it's in good shape just no motor and the guy said he has a buddy that might have one in storage so if I can grt my hands on it for you I will if you want I'm here in central Florida
Nice job finding one that cheap! The next time I'll be in Orlando will be November for Thanksgiving. I'll gladly consider buying it off you if you have it by then.
@@TwoBrosRC Ahh, that makes more sense. Any idea if a 3s 1300 would fit? Have a couple laying around from my apprentice 1.2. If not I’ll order that 800mah 3s that you guys use
The key is slow throttle application and feeding in right rudder as the model gets on step before rotating. Keeping it centered as best you can, then rotating for takeoff. It should all happen within three seconds or so. Taildraggers tend to be rather difficult to fly because of this, hence why we said it's definitely not a beginner's plane. It being smaller also adds to the skill required to operate it because it's not a simple matter of just throttling up. The P-factor of the model has to be accounted for as well.
The t28 rudder hinge was not molded well - it is too thick and it binds limiting the travel. If you cut it off, add a little bevel, and re-hinge it - it will swing out like a barn door.
Great advice I wondered if there was an easy way to increase rudder throw. Still, knife edge may not work all that well with the dihedral of the T-28. My 1.2 T-28 will knife edge but not well.
@@thomasallan8113 you're absolutely correct. I have not tried to knife edge it yet after performing this mod, but swinging the rudder out in level flight just about knocked it out of the sky. 🤣
I build and rebuild. Have lots of planes and must start selling. I use to be a drone pilot but things didn't worked out as planed. now I'm retired and have nothing to do. customers all vanished.

I have the 1.1M T28 from Blitzworks as well. Its all together, I just need to minwax it and maiden. Looks like a nice flyer.
@@ltfadl1 I think the dihedral in the wings helps a lot. Plus full size one is supposed to be a trainer.
Love your channel
Thanks so much for your down to earth flying/attitude that you bring

So sorry to hear that Anthony! Here's hoping you'll eventually find it and get it back up in the air.
@@TwoBrosRC Will you guys be at the Bigfoot RC event near Birmingham, AL this weekend?
@@ltfadl1 That's waaaaay too far for me to consider traveling to. The only exception we make for long distance is the THP crew.

@@ltfadl1 The only show we go to is Wings over Springs here in Holly Springs, NC. It's held annually in early September.
I have 800mm Trojan and i put ESC from 1.1m Trojan and run it on 3S, find it very underpowered on 2S. Removed landing gear and works like charm.
We were flying on 3 cells here if memory serves.

Ordered the P-51. Now trying to figure out if I could run it on 3s. I don’t have any 2s plane packs but have a bunch of 3s 1300s and 2200s

It would have been way cooler if they sent you the corsair and zero to demo.

Shame about the T28 😢

Maybe you should try flying at multiple throttle settings?
