Hope that waving doesn't mean the end of all tours; ''Essence!'' was such a great masterpiece and those songs deserve public appreciation/exaltation. As far as songwriting goes, in the long run of Di6's career, ''Essence!'' contains Pearce's writing apex in a 40-year saga full of contending chefs-d'oeuvre, which is quite significant of vitality in such a fulfilled career. With the passing of years, and I've seen Di6 live for five times, two aspects have become particularly present in those considerably sparse gatherings i've attended, ranging from 1997 to 2016 - the audiences singing along and Douglas welcoming it, and his deep British sense of humour becoming much part of the show. Let's wait for yet another album.
Shut up ! You know nothing about Death In June - only those who have seen them with Der Blutharsch on the same stage ( opening for Boyd Rice / NoN ) - latter´s band members only made Di6´s sound Greater . Sometime in 99 , ironically at a venue named " Paradise´s Garage " . That was simply one of the greatest concerts I have ever attended . Der Blutharsch sure gave their contribution for that particular performance to have been so impressive . Mesmerizing . ( Come to look at your avatar all of the above might have happened close to where you live ) 😂 .
Cool . You´re the 1st person I have ever met who has been at that concert too . That should had been recorded and shared in here . I don´t think there´s ever been a DI6 concert quite like that .
Great musician, great character
Love Dougie P legend.

His performance in 'Pearls Before Swine' never ceases to crack me up.

Love him
Good God, that movie with Dough and Boyd is so damn cringe, in the good way!
