I've never big on fancy grips because everything my collection are working tools so they get scratches , dings , but iam on disability with health issues but not helpless , I do hunt and fish some , watching this video got me to thinking about my doctor telling me I will progressively get worser and I know what that means but I don't sit around crying about I look at it like why not me iam no better than any one else to get sick especially at my age,. ,so I am a wonderful wood carver so why not take some of my pistol/revolver s and carve beautiful grips and reblue them for keep sakes for family to remember those days spent shoot and hunting together, I don't pout about time I go on a live it , nanna and papa wishing you well,
Lois at buffalo brothers, is very knowledgeable and helpful. They make some really nice grips and even are willing to do custom work. Best experience I've ever had with a grip manufacturing company. I recommend to anyone, to look there first.
I have a set of custom grips for a colt 1976 bicentenial .22 lr/ .22 mag that my deceased youngest brother made for me over 50 yrs ago, that has 20 lines per inch checkering with a thumb shelf built into them, makes all the difference in shooting the pistol, really enhances accuracy to say the least. Always interesting to see what topic you got next. While I'm sure I understand the appeal to some on flashy custom grips, I tend to lean towards practical and classic first, not for only show, and working guns will get dings and dents, so they wouldnt be the best for me. Some good checkered wood grips, are my preference.
I would say that 9 out of ten of my handguns have custom grips.. most for looks but some to fit better. The beauty of a Colt SAA or clone is that they will accept one piece grips. Like appearance on one hand... anyone seeing there is no grip screw knows the gun is special even if they don't know why. all my Colts/clones have one piece
I enjoy all of your videos but love the revolver videos the most. I have after market grips on almost all of my revolvers, mostly checkered with fleur-de-lis accents. I can't find any for my Bearcat.
A friend made some mesquite grips for my Ruger Blackhawk 45LC. My next set for a Ruger Super Blackhawk 44mag will be made of madrone wood. It is a beutiful redish or orangish wood.
I know this off topic, but do you know of any high quality holsters for the Tanfoglio series of 10mms? You have done several in depth reviews of those pistols, and I can tell you hold them in high esteem, and as such I am interested in purchasing one. If you have any recommendations for a good holster, it would be greatly appreciated sir 👍🏻
I been looking for grips for my revolver for 5 years and haven’t found it till this day it’s a Rexio pucara x 32 cal by any chance will there be a model that might fit it
Most grips are too thin at the top. Hard to get anything fatter for a single action. There seem to be no one making replica grips other than copies of originals.
Do you have a source of custom grips that are engraved with the phrase "Always safety check your firearm?" I would like to ship a pair to Alec Baldwin.

Save your money. I've heard he is no longer trusted to handle anything more dangerous than a rubber ball.
Gots a 44 -40, 18 71 ,72, 75 dates antique nickel fast draw !! but lousy plastic grips .
Lots of really nice replacement grips out there - try doing a Google search.
