Thanks for sharing the trip. It has been a long time since I have been in the northwest. I’m originally from Oregon. I have had no desire to return after seeing how things have been trashed. This was a nice glimpse. Thank you and be safe
HI THERE SIR. MY FIRST HUBBY WAS A DRIVER FOR 21 YEARS AND I WENT WITH HIM EVERY CHANCE I GOT. I LOVED BEING ON THE TRUCK AND TAKING PICTURES THRU THE WINDSHIELD. OUR SON IS A DRIVER NOW, FOLLOWED IN HIS LATE DAD'S FOOTSTEPS. HE DRIVES LIKE HIS DAD AND MAKES HIS MAMA VERY PROUD. I JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL YESTERDAY AND I JUST LOVE IT. KEEP UP THE GREAT VIDEOS.....I WILL WATCH EVERYDAY. GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU SAFE OUT THERE.
Riding Shotgun, nice to see your video driving through Portland, Oregon. I follow your trucking adventures quite often on YT. The traffic signal light you thought was red is called a programmed signal head made by 3M. It is designed not to allow other drivers to see the signal light other than the vehicle facing it due to special lenses. In regards to all the homeless camps, many Oregonians including myself are extremely saddened and angry as this has been going on for a few years now. With the state and local government condoning this camping and behavior, it isn't going away anytime soon. This used to be a beautiful city and state but no more. Between the rioting and destruction downtown PDX and the camping across the city, no wonder tourism in the state of Oregon is way off. Drive safely.

hey mike, love ya vids and former trucker upper guy myself. a little about the homeless up in oregon and washington..... you would be surprised how many have jobs, housing is expensive, and lack thereof of services even though them 2 states claim to have services. i was homeless for 6 months back in 2018, and allot of that is either drugs cause of the legal weed, people migrated there, and allot is affordable housing is being torn down for luxury apartments. i was in the shelter in tacoma and there was a huge influx of vets cause an affordable housing complex evicted them all to " retro fit" the building in which after it was down it was turned into a micro apartment complex and was no longer an affordable unit. also allot have metal health problems and there is no real help for them anymore. so with that not all of them are participation trophy winners, quite a few have legit jobs, just the price of housing, no one can afford to live. not justifying the ones that trash everything but the entire western seaboard is wall to wall homeless.
@@ridingshotgun1251 no worries mike, you are my kinda people, i didnt realize allot of them worked till i seen how crowded the shelters was, i was shocked at how many people worked, and how high housing is, and yes i would put the druggie participation trophy peeps at 35% - 50 % along with some people with mental health problems. I drove rigs from like 88 - 2012, so may changes. last truck i owned was a 96 w900 so just keep on truckin brother. appreciate you and your vids.

Juebitt's Truck Stop used to be # 1 in the Nation for wild women. In the 70's before they remodeled the Nurses and Telephone Operators were there meeting driver's all the time. I forgot how to spell it. LOL The Remodel killed the fun there.

Right.. the camera saw it but I didn't that's the weird part. I mean I was looking at it and I think the angle of it wasn't lit at all. At least from eyesight point of view. its weird how the camera caught it but my eyes didn't even when I was looking right at it..

Hi, Would you please teach us to when using the break, jack, and another thing when you are driving?Speed and another thing that you are facing while driving. sound stupid but I asked you anyway.
Something I hate on this side of the country that rarely happens on my side of the country Truckers just driving in the middle and left lane. They create traffic for everyone on the freeway and create a mini traffic jam everytime they do it Stay on the right lane where you belong, you're going like 5 to 10 miles below the speed limit, in no way should you be in the middle and left lane.
Hard to believe what Kirkland, WA (Totem Lake/NE 124th area} where you made a delivery looks like now. We lived in that area for years but left the state for Oklahoma in 1986. Enjoyed the video.

A lot of the “participation trophy winners” cannot afford the ridiculous $2500 a month rent that greedy landlords have. Don’t assume that because they are homeless they don’t have a job. Lots of them live out of their cars too.
The way they used to treat vagrants in the 1950's. Tell them to move on or be arrested. Then follow through with the threat and send them to jail or mental hospitals. Most of the homeless are hopelessly dysfunctional and will never change. So, just remove them from public view.
