I think I figured out you made it back to Denver's did some other stuff and then the end of this video ... lol it's all good.thank you for sharing your adventures!
These videos are useful commentary for a "civilian" driver like me, who tries to practice appropriate manners when driving with trucks on a highway. You have given me important advice on how to avoid troubling anybody who drives very large vehicles for a living. Good truckers like you know a lot more about how to drive than weekend drivers with small cars (me). Thanks for all your advice, and your good humor.
Me too! I see people do things that could cause wrecks every week! I also so some truck drivers that do some awful lane changes too, saw one up in Omaha two weeks ago, the trucker was changing lanes & ran a car off the road! The car was next to him the whole time, he should have seen him. Then the truck driver swerved abruptly the other way, thought he was going to flip, his tires on the right were off the highway for a few loooong seconds. Scared us being behind all that, staying back to give room to the show!
@@rickrich7325 That could be the problem the "car being next to him the whole time". If that car was plopped in his blind spot then it deserved to be ran off the road.
@@ranbymonkeys2384 it was probably in the last 1/3 rd of the trailer, if I were the car driver I would have slowed & backed off to avoid the whole time.
Soon to retire Air Force person here. You've given me a glimpse into the trucking world. I'm looking at getting into this career field after I'm fully retired out of the military. I'd watch your shows to have the feeling of road tripping while deployed. Thank you for the help while deployed and hope to see you at some point.
That’s why I recommend the Rand McNally GPS, it shows you the chicken coops, pickle parks, and truck stops, and how many hours away from you. You don’t have to use it for driving, but helping you figure out your ETA, you can’t beat them. Jus a friendly suggestion from an ex fellow gear floater. Stay safe.
Good morning! Did you notice the thickness of that section of the road? Can't imagine how they will repair that section. Enjoyed riding shotgun. You sure see some beautiful scenery in your travels. Loved seeing the Pacific Ocean & the 8 crane ship. Peace be to you as well. Have a good day.
When I left Alaska , I shipped my car out , picked it up around there somewhere . I flew out took a taxi to get my car , drove home to Texas , me 2 kids and a dog what a long trip but a woman’s got to do what she has to glad I was young( 29)
Have a daughter who lives in Bellingham. Visited that cove visible from your truck. B'Ham is a beautiful place. Looking forward to your video of you travel over Snoqualmie Pass.
So here it is Friday nite Sept 10 remembering 9-11-21. Continuing thoughts and prayers for all the families that have lost first responders both military and PD's and FD's. Man oh man, and to just to take my mind off the mess that my beloved country is in, RIDING SHOTGUN is always a personal favorite along with some good music like Boz Skagg's "Lowdown" . Have a good weekend everyone. In the words of Mike Pierce "till the next tiiiime enjoy."
Well, I-90 has 3-lanes each way around Lake Keechelus instead of two. Only been 30 years since I drove that, lol. Thanks for the memory refresh re WA state, Mike. Last time I was in Hyak was when the railroad (Milwaukee Road) still had tracks and ran trains (1979-80) so it's been a few days since there also. Some aspects of the PNW I miss but population growth out there isn't 1 of them.
Good afternoon Mike from morocco i hope you have a amazing day god bless you and bless all truck driver in United States good luck sir in your life ^-^
Mike, I don't know if you ever read the comments, but exit 123 ,125 before going through the tunnel on the pass ,now I can't remember the name! They are doing more road work and the upper bridge and road you can see on the right with the river on your left, That is one Of Many trips you have made in your car and truck that should be used in making a movie. You need to copyright your videos. They are just beautiful. I'm from Denver. The mountains in Colorado and Utah, Idaho, Montana are breathtaking. So many beautiful places to see right in the USA. Stay safe,Family first. 🐕 I have never been to Washington state, but I need to go now, beautiful!!
Mike, were you on I25 South bound on Sept 8th or in Colorado Springs at Harbor Freight on Sept 9th? I always watch for Quality trucks and wonder if it is you! I just drove down from Great Falls MT to Colo Spgs the past 3 days. Did the back way from Casper using 220 to Walton to highways 9 and 24 to the Spgs. I prefer the 2 lanes even though it was 70 miles further and 2 hours longer. Keep the greasy side down!
Mike I know where you are as Bellingham was my home town for 35 years as a child and young adult. There were many good years and times spent down at the water front. I live up on the hill overlooking where you were parked.
Ironically enough I just drove to Bellingham yesterday (and then back to Ellensburg) via the same interstate and pass. Of course nothing special yesterday, but looks like I just missed the "fun" by a few days.
This is bad ass bro I drive from Yakima to Seattle an back everyday on powder cement doubles I take snoquamie pass everyday I scale out at 105,200 every run
Ah yes, Snoqualmie Pass, I-90. Know it well. Driven it a million times but years ago switched over to Steven Pass, US-2. Snoqualmie is notorious for being shutdown due to accidents, heavy traffic, etc. You just never know what you're going to run into on that road. Living in far eastern Washington state now and can say with certainty that I do not miss the clouds and rain on the west side.
At The Beginning In Bellingham. I Am Less Then A Mile From Where He Parked. There's A Nice Beach Access Just Ahead Of Him. Not 'Ocean Front'. We're A Long Ways From The Ocean. Bellingham Bay.
Don’t feel bad about not seeing that red light years ago I was at at a intersection stopped at a red light or five roads come together and I saw the light turn green and I thought it was mine but it wet and I got through OK in one piece so I learned my lesson not to be talking on my phone while sitting at a red light.
The people that came up with traffic lights you can only see from a certain angle . They did not check truck angles . Even in a car, you can not tell what color is on till your at the light, bad idea ! I gave up my class- A four years ago, cataracts .

Now we need to get more truck drivers to watch. Get the F***K out of the passing lane!!! That goes for you truck drivers too!!!!!
We appreciate you 4 wheelers that try, we don't want to be in the way!

That is a log ship. They use the cranes to load bundles of logs out of the water or off the dock into the cargo hold
Appreciate you letting me ride shotgun. Another beautiful drive
Beautiful sceneries as you deliver stuff to places. I wish that those wild fires never exist.
Thanks for the Glenwood canyon addendum. Going through there in a couple of days.

The "cruise ship" at 5:14, is, I think, one of those that transport passengers and supplies to via the Inland Passage to Alaska.
Ironically enough I just drove to Bellingham yesterday (and then back to Ellensburg) via the same interstate and pass. Of course nothing special yesterday, but looks like I just missed the "fun" by a few days.
Beautiful, except towards the end, we couldn't hear you!! But still, your my go to ride along!!
You need to try to make it to space age truck stop or stansfield pilot at the next exit on Interstate 84 in Oregon.
loved the trip.
I was working that accident thanks for slowing down and moving over driver
Great Job Mike Thumbs Up
Well, I guess I have to subscribe, my analytics say my viewers watch yours. I'll have to watch more when I have time. So far very enjoyable.
The orange strip on that ship is the water line, when full the line will be just under the water
