I just wanted to say thanks for all the videos. I was a truck driver. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with heart condition and lost my CDL. I feel so grounded at home and miss seeing the country. So thanks for the video's. It's really been appreciated
I feel for ya bud. Started truckin back in the 70s. Got 35 years in before health reasons kicked me into the office. Thankfully I'm retired and able to drive wherever I want now.
Mountain Man Mike, I so enjoy your videos! You take me to places to which I have never been (and I wish I were), and others that I have been to, and love to revisit via your truck-cam. I really like your voice, your attitude, and your commentary, it's all really good. This is one of those videos where I think you go through Glenwood Canyon, CO on I-70, what a magnificent stretch of the Interstate system! God Bless America, thank you for what you do for a living, but also thank you for these posts to share your view from the windshield with us. Peace! :) John in Montrose, PA
Just love the clear air and bright sunshine and blue skies of Western Colorado. Winter or summer. Thanks for another relaxing ride. Here fishy, fishy. Oh well, better luck next time. Dang gnats!! Thanks for the ride.
ShotGun with Mountain man Mike: The duck just sitting while you fish. That was extreme beauty, a picture in the water called reflections. ❄🏞🏔. Cheers🥂. Thanks for the post
I am very much thankful to be riding Shotgun with you. Although we have some beautiful country north of the border in Beautiful British Columbia Canada, It is a pleasure to see some of the same only different down in your neck of the woods. The short time (7 years) I drove, hauling crude oil in Saskatchewan was a pleasure and I only whish I had started earlier in my life. I am now 69 and happily retired . I will have to drive those mountains and see them for my self. I the mean time I am happy to let you do the driving while I ride shotgun. May God ride with you always and keep you safe. CHEERS!!!!
Colorado looking good in the Springtime...Thanks for sharing your breaktime with us....I love to fish....The whole time stationed in So. Cal I never caught one fish... They sent me to Austin Tx next and the first time we went fishing , we got a stringer full.....It's a great pass time...My first trip fishing was with my grandparents, I was 5 or 6....Love it...
What a perfect ride!thank you for showing us the mountains on a sunny day, walking by the lake, and your excellent company! Have a delightful (and safe) week!
Thanks Mike. Sharing this beautiful country with us while all of the crazies tear up their own lives is a welcome change for most of us. Keep on Truckin' as they say. Stay Safe. PEACE!
had just watched a video from oct 2019 where you were going on that same route but it was night time and snowy.. what a difference watching it now by day time and sunny.. :)
Just want you to know I have really enjoyed your travel videos. Especially in the mountains. I recently lost my mom and your videos have helped me get thru the loss because her and I use to travel. She loved to go driving. Thank you. PS love your voice.😁
Aw bummer! I watched you going through the Rockies and thought you would go through Grand Junction, but you shut off your camera! Oh well... The scenery through the Rockies was awesome! I love that part of the country!!!
Rookie? My 1st drive was a 1929 NASH! Al, itinerant farm worker, guitarist, left his wheels with us. Mom sent me to the store one-to-many times. I wired it (was 11) and she didn't do it again. 84 now, seems like yesterday.
I worked for c.d.o.t 97 to 04. As a field mechanic. I heard stories that Tom norten, director of cdot actually drank some magcloride at a press conference to show how safe it was. Then had to go to the hospital.
Good morning, Mt. Mike. Don't you love Michigan, "Pure Michigan". Back in 1970, when I worked for the Ann Arbor Railroad Ferries. Frankfurt to Kewanee (wis.) run (60 miles). We loaded the ships with trucks at night for $35 one way. Very popular with Semi Truck Drivers---saved hundreds of miles driving around Lake Michigan.
Small sailboat trailers tend to suffer from overheated bearings because not everyone has Bearing Buddy grease caps to keep adequate grease in the bearings and dunking the trailer often happens with warm hubs into cold water that gets sucked through the seals when everything contracts as the metal quickly cools. If not caught soon enough it can cause bearing failure and sometimes fire.
Glad your not going to L.A. not a safe place to be now.love the ride along, beautiful country. Stay safe out there.until next time keep that truck rolling. Peace! !.
Cheers Mike certainly better than trying to get into a church that is closed due to this pandemic and the scenery is far better, especially when snow is visible.
Great video MMM!!😅No need to edit dude!😰All of us who can't see this area of the world love the scenery you show!! Your commentary is better than a lot of truckers!! You and Trucker Josh are the best in my opinion!💖As far as running chat goes anyhow!😜
I noticed all those dead trees along the road, too. Mag C does seem to be the most likely cause. It will be interesting to find out if that is what killed them. They look too far off the road for any snow removal equipment to have damaged the trunks. Keep us posted if you hear more about it, please.
It was those 2 Texas egg sandwiches you had for breakfast yesterday that set your weight off. Good to see my old stomping grounds on today's video. From where I live in yesterday's to where I used to live in today's.
Lovely drive and scenery. Beautiful reflections in the water. Should get a small bottle of eye-wash and keep it in the cab. In UK the small Optrex bottles are supplied with an eyebath.
Be safe!! Just found your blog. I wanted to roadtrip with someone without leaving my house! Glad RUclips and your channel provided amusement and beautiful sights. Please talk about your trucking life or other interests. Your video is stale in some places and more exciting in others. Perhaps some trivia or fun facts about a city. I xoxo Colorado!! I'll stay in touch!
Hello Mike: Good to be back in shotgun position. IH70 seemed to have held up fairly well during the winter? Saw some areas that were patched. Cold water like you were in the trout will be a little deeper, might try a wooly worm or some other bottom lure. We never saw you with your line wet. Hard to catch anything unless you have the line in the water. Thanks for the ride, be safe. Edward
Uhaul only charges by the mile if you do a local rental, where you take the truck back to the same place you rented it from. On long haul, they give you a certain set of miles.
Love your channel and enjoy watching, always happy to see you have posted a new one. But something disturbed me so much, news channels are saying the trucker going into the crowd on I35 in Minneapolis was trying to kill people. He honked his horn, and he stopped. If he wanted to hurt people, he could've killed hundreds. I think, he did a stupid thing, but I think he was frustrated with all the work all truckers have done to keep this country open and running, and have a major highway shut down. The independents, I understand, have been hurt the most with low rates and little appreciation for their hard work and risk to them and their families by being out during CoVid. They are letting one police officer and looters and rioters destroy our country!! In San Antonio and some other communities, people are taking back the right to protect themselves and their businesses, their communities and historical landmarks. I stand with the peaceful protestors, not with the destroyers!!
I wish you could give me a shout out when your headed to Aurora Co. My youngest son moved there 3 years ago. I would like to see what it looks like cause I want to go visit him. I live in the desert of calif.
Great video as always. I have been playing around with the Robinhood app. Put a few bucks into it and have fun gambling on the Market. I found the best stocks were the one I never heard of. Make small amount pull it out buy another to make a little more. Don't get greedy!
Just a suggestion here, the more I watch of your videos, the more i think you should try to create them at 60fps instead of just regular 720P, not sure what camera you use but I'm 99% sure if its a modern one, there's a way to record in 60fps mode, and same when you import it to youtube, that would make a more fluid video for everyone to enjoy.
I just wanted to say thanks for all the videos. I was a truck driver. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with heart condition and lost my CDL. I feel so grounded at home and miss seeing the country. So thanks for the video's. It's really been appreciated

I lived in Grand Junction, now in Las Vegas. Thanks for taking me alone. Great memories of Colorado’s beauty.

That highway looking fabulous! 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
I pulled a tanker thru here several times when it was Rt 6. One time I forgot I had a flammable load and had to go over the Eisenhower Tunnel. Fun😐

I worked for c.d.o.t 97 to 04. As a field mechanic. I heard stories that Tom norten, director of cdot actually drank some magcloride at a press conference to show how safe it was. Then had to go to the hospital.
We like the sound of your truck horn honking inside tunnels.
Thanks for the tunnel mike, Happy June.
Thanks for the ride! It's been a few years since I've been up and over I-70. I miss the drive, but I dont.

Love the trip

I have a question we’re you walking around with that fishing pole. I thought you were in a chair from accident.Sorry if that was personal.
Great video as always. I have been playing around with the Robinhood app. Put a few bucks into it and have fun gambling on the Market. I found the best stocks were the one I never heard of. Make small amount pull it out buy another to make a little more. Don't get greedy!
When i last drove a Scania , splitter boxes where fairly new. Are they much the same today, obsolete, or far more refined?.
Anton Felten Or watch the trucker Riding Shotgun who shows the best during his rides on the high way.
Question for Riding Shotgun or to somebody who knows: Why do I never see tanker trucks loaded with DME. (Demithylether) on the American highways?
Have you ever been in Brownsville Texas
