I was just hoping that it was open to drive because of the holiday. I’m not walking it.

This is a neat place...multi- generation family/friends have been on Mount Scott. I first went on that mountain around 1958. It was always a good time. !

I’m glad you enjoyed the video. We go twice a year, in the spring and fall. We camp at Doris Campground for three days and enjoy exploring the area. Mt Scott is our last stop before heading home. We love it! ✌🏻

I grew up here. In the dry seasons it looks like some of the areas in the Italian Spaghetti Westerns. The wild buffalo and longhorn herds roaming the National Wildlife Refuge give it the real Western feeling.

When I was stationed at Ft. Sill me and a young lady drove out there. We got a blanket out of the car and laid down, it was at night time. We kept hearing noises and after awhile we got up and went back to the car. I turned on the headlights and the noise was a herd of buffalo all around us.

I didn’t know they had such a place like this in Oklahoma. I’ve only seen flat areas. Nice 👍

I thought it was all flat too until a friend introduced me to this area!
