- A Must watch to the end... When I joined Black Surfers Collective back in 2014 for free Surf Lessons, I quickly realized how important this Surf life really was in our Community and wanted to learn as much about it as I could as well as the People who were keeping it together. I've met at least half of the people in this video and there are a lot more who I didn't include not because they weren't relevant it's just the video can only be so long with my attention span. However, I hope I captured value of how precious these brave women and men were for building organizations and competing post segregation and Jim Crow era which I'm sure was very challenging so I salute them all as well as the growth of our Culture... So here is my take on a brief History about The Black Surfers here in California as well as abroad who are not only doing great things in their own Communities but creating a Legacy along the way. Because it's not a Hobby, it's a LIfestyle...

Sister this amazing!!! Im from long beach ca, and years ago my coworker was gonna show me how to surf but he died before he could ever teach me. I had a custom board and everything but i lost that chance.. Can you list the black owned surf classes and work shops? Id love to reach out to them...
