As someone who's attempting solo runs of BBI straight after new game, I can say that Sorcerer owns the game with Maelstrom, Comestion, and Holy F*cking Focused Bolts. And the occasional Gicel for Banshees.

Your team can act as an advance party on that ox cart escort quest. Mercedes and friends will stop walking if you’re too far from them. This allows you to attack all enemies on your path without having to worry about the cart & the soldiers. Return to Mercedes and they will resume walking. Some enemies (goblins, wolves, and bandits) will still spawn when you travel with the cart but at least there will be less.
Sorry for late reply I missed this the other day. I genuinely had no idea this was the case, coming from MMOs you either keep up with escort NPCs or they die rofl. So I thought we had to keep going. That does sound like such a good way to sort out the path ahead (but I won't lie I wanted that cart to move at warp speed)

And yeah even if I wasn't playing to make videos, I think the experience farm is just essential. If you park yourself up on that wall after defeating the Dragon, endless guards will spawn and get mopped up by your pawns. Easy gold and exp. It's honestly wonderful you can't go wrong.
I've had this game since it released on the Xbox 360 and have replayed it I don't know how many times . . . and I never knew you could make the ox during the escort mission bolt like that . . . I'm over here internally screaming, lol.
Rofl, aw I swear this game is like an onion. There's more under each layer, every time. I'm sorry you had to wait this long for the ox reveal because I can only imagine the pain of that quest over and over without the speed boost haha!

Hey listen nah listen, that ain't it. If I had to do that escort quest legit, I was turning that game off for the night rofl. This saved me hours of real time and I got to keep playing thanks to your advice, good shoutout haha! It still takes the better part of an hour without kicking the Ox, it feels that way anyway. 900+ holy shit that's some serious DD time. I don't think I will ever hit that playtime but I think after coming back again and again, I can see the appeal of doing so. It really is a game you can just sink into and adventure, and that's a very rare thing.
@@reallylatereviews indeed it is :) and for any future plays pick up the Ring of Preseverance on BBI either with a moonbeam gem or a barrel glitch, thats like +25% discipline gain (skills and vocation level), repeat on hard mode and you got two of em, doubles the discipline. really speeds stuff up a whole lot.

And I get that haha, the only mods I've installed are the Dinky compilation from nexus which mostly provides cleaner textures. You're right about the scars, I found with the default skin they didn't stand out very well at all

It's just nice to see a fresh take as well as you have such a great way of going about a balance of humor and just honest opinion in your video. It's a nice change of pace from the cookie cutter youtube style.
Also I know you mentioned trying out the other vocations and dabbled a bit with the ranger class. I'm gonna say right now 10 fold flurry and corkscrew are my favorite abilities to use. Especially if you combo them with arrow types such as blast for 10 fold or petrified with corkscrew.
Wanna finely show death what you're made of? Grab yourself a ton of blast arrows and stack on top with 4 Conqueror's Periapt. Watch any bosses health bar just drop like flies.
@@cyclone327 I've stayed away from the arrow types purely because the UI makes me want to scream but I tell ya for ranger I will brave it because arrow items seem like a massive part of that vocation, whereas they never got mentioned as hard for magick archer.

I just wanted to add that I beated the game few weeks ago and my waifu was selene wich was a pawn and became human and by the end of the end in the last cinematic she mentioned that we (the arisen) sacrified ourself for our pawn to live just like the master of selene. So she'll knew that you're not the real arisen and I found it so cool. And sorry for my bad english not my native language.
Oh holy shit so she would have filled the player in on what went down? That's crazy! I like that. Thanks for bringing that up because someone else said more side quests helped explain this. Game is nuts with it's hidden lore. You speak English really well, do not even apologise. I wouldn't have even known if you hadn't told me :D

It's great to see you uploading a new video. Love the way you describe how you experience video games. While this game has many flaws, I don't think there is anything like it in the gaming space at the moment which explains the game's cult following. I couldn't agree more about DD, on the surface it's easy to think it's similar to other games, but it really is one of a kind when you get into it. That unique magic helps it no end. And holy smokes, thank you! I just hope my video on DD2 lives up to the game haha! Thank you!
One of the things that I love and hate about dragon's dogma is that the very last sequence of what happened with your pawn becoming you can so very easily get lost over your head if you don't do some specific questlines. It's painfully easy to miss learning about the concept of the bestowal of spirit.
I won't lie, I missed a lot in this game but I thought I followed the main story pretty well. And I had no idea what was happening there at all, so it makes sense it's explained in some of the game's obscure quests haha!

I bought the game and played about 20 hours. But I stopped because my pawns always die and I got to revive them and the climbing onto big monsters is hard and not my cup of tea. But I really enjoyed your video and I might play the game again soon. I dont play online which is fine for me. I also hope Dd2 will have more pc friendly mouse and keyboard controls. Skyrim is fun and I have played alot on PC but its becomes a chore with the controls. Im looking forward to more content from you!

Secondly, I get that I really do. For a long time I had a staff on my main pawn called Legion's Might, this let my own mage resurrect herself every time she died. It saved me a lot of headaches. I think you either love the monster climbing or not. I do love it, but sometimes I'm left with very little reason to do so. And once you're up there you can only bonk the creature so it's a system that has a lot of room for improvement.
I hope DD2 will be better, and as you said better for PC users - recent Capcom games have had really good mouse + keyboard support so I bet they will do!
And yeah Skyrim is great I love it. You are right as well, the age of the controls/UI is showing now, but it's kept younger by mods.

You're right as well, the game is loaded with lore and adventure despite all the cutbacks, there's a lot of respect to be had for the development team. I think with the homeruns Capcom has hit lately, DD2 will be at the very least, a solid game.

Daimons 2nd form is something you need to prepare for.
It's a slog for melee classes, the only real viable strategy for Warrior and Fighter is to pop liquid vim, climb on top of Daimons head, pop 4 conqueror's periapt and pummel him until he tries to burn you alive. This will likely throw you off, which means, you need to pop another liquid vim and repeat what you just did.
Mythic Knight can use holy great cannon shenanigans in combination with 4 demons periapt.
Mages and Magic archers are usually fine (if they bring demons periapts). Just try shooting something holy at him if you can.
Rangers, striders and assassins can just bully Daimon via periapt and blast arrow spam. Really just aim for his chest face and turn him into a joke.
That said, he's really only good for farming lvl3 weapons and armour, also a hand full of materials which only he drops.
All in all I really enjoyed this... Easter special? Huh, close enough.
Ayy Boneman! Holy smokes thank you, because the truth is I intend to take on Daimon 2 with warrior haha! And pummelling his head was mostly how I did it both times. I always shy away from using consumables because I feel cheaty, but yeah in this instance I will take your advice and save up the vims and a few other buffs. Because he slaps me about so much rofl. I've heard about the unique materials but not so much the weapons, I think I'll mostly be after him to cap off the videos haha. I struggle with farming in games, even in Monster Hunter as much as I love that.

Silver chest plate combined with pauldrons would match the red sonja cover art. Summery pareo is a close fit for the art on the left. Not sure about boots and gloves. Maybe wizarding gloves/boots.

But I can't tell you how much your comment warmed my heart. I started work on the 'final' Dragons Dogma video last year and I just got so sidetracked. The truth is I lost heart while playing, assassin didn't really vibe with me and the momentum was just lost multiple times. But you've inspired me to at least edit what I've got and put out one more video. I've got a few projects and real life on the burner at the moment but I'll try and get the halloween special out before halloween.

It sucks that you didn't mention the upgraded abilities from rings in BBI it makes everything stronger and the game didn't stay the same difficulty, you just got more skilled and stronger.
I tell ya man I thought about it, I mention the Grand Ingle but forgot to bring up the rings. It's a combination of forgetfulness and wanting to keep the video relatively tight. I cut out a few other things for runtime. You're right about the difficulty but the truth is, I just didn't enjoy that aspect, I wanted to have the Gransys overland get stronger with my character.

ahm, hardmode IS harder than normal mode. Its just you are overleveld for the starting mobs, but compared to normal mode enemies those ARE indeed stronger
Ayyy before I agree with ya, I did consider that and I'd have hoped that hard mode and new game plus together would stack to challenge me a little. I was disappointed but you are also correct, hard mode would be more difficult if I was normal level. I still think it coulda been harder though!

@@reallylatereviews Hard Mode only increases the damage you take and how much stamina you consume, as well as enemy stagger resistance of all things. They don't get more HP or so, which is why Hard Mode is actually easier in NG if you know what you're doing, because you get so much more gold and XP heh.
@@MrLokhe Yeah it's kinda a let down in that regard, I'm at the point where most enemies have no HP, and a few enemies have way too much. But I won't say no to free money haha!
