  • When you think of a Bivvi, you think of a Tarp but that’s not how we roll on the test nights! The objective for the night is to make sure the test subject gets as wet as possible! In this episode of the Rain Test, we subjected the Highlander Hawk Bivvi Bag to the rains. Check out the video to see how it faired!

      Thanks JW! I wouldn’t want to mislead anyone with the reviews, the only way superior gear can be developed is by the critics!

    Thanks for the review mate. The hole is a major problem when the company is selling the idea that something is waterproof lol 😂

    I wonder if redesigning it so there's a flap over that hole would resolve that hole issue

    I’ve never been a fan of bivvis as they are a pain in the arse to get in and out of and pretty cramped. Great honest review mate 👍🏻 I also like the new name 😉👍🏻

    Wow, no mask. 😉 They have really dropped the ball with that hole where the zips meet. 😒

    If you do a bivi like that, you always need a tarp for obvious reasons. And who wouldn’t bring a tarp.
    I’ve been using this bag so many times and for the cost it’s absolutely fantastic. Also it insulates you greatly in a hammock. You should try it out. Great review though and appreciate the honesty 👍

    Good test of that bivvy. I got that bivvy only used it under a tarp so far and your points are spot on , I had a mare getting in and out didn't help that my zip for sleeping bag was on opposite side to bivvy zip 🤪 Anyway nice one take care 👍

      Thanks for the comment my friend! Really appreciated! It truly is hard work getting in and out of the bivvi! Hope you’re doing well bud 👍

    Is the hole there to make sure users don't suffocate? I have recently seen instruction for one (maybe an alpkit though I won't swear to that) that tells users not to completely zip up. Although Bivys are breathable they might not be so breathable that you can get away without some air venting.

      Good point my friend! That could quite possibly be the reason, it would make sense! Thanks for your input Bernard, I appreciate it! Hope you’re doing well 👍

    How cheap is it? The best design of a bivy If that type had to be the one made by Exped. If the Bush pro came with a bug net it would be pretty great. Supriced you did not suffocate to death?

    • @TreeDeepOutdoors
      @TreeDeepOutdoors  3 года назад +1

      Hey buddy! Price wise varies but it’s generally between £50-£60. Dude! If the Bush Pro came with a bug net it would be awesome!

      @@TreeDeepOutdoors why they even make bivy bags with no bug net is beyond me… cant be that hard to stitch one on there
