260 at the wheel is good, seen 996.2 dynoing 260 whp stock, one thing I don’t like is those aftermarket intakes, beleive the factory is more than perfect for this car.
Well if it is about HP... I got it. But I would definitely miss the sound. I like Hondas and had a lot of them, still the sound of a 996 is not rivaled by any means, no matter which pipe/whatsoever. I would go for a S2000 if you are after the speed an add a supercharger to that and keep the 996 just as beautiful as it is with that 6cylBoxer it was meant for. Just my 2cents. If you are up for speed... check out Lotus Elise/ Exige/ Evora. Those are seriously fast. I have an Elise, and anytime I get in and drive it - 200m from my garage I am smiling because that thing is that good.
@@Adscam Well I have the R Version which gives you 190HP and the Elise is below/around 900kgs. Of course you never have "enough" power... My opinion "If you do not start to bleed from your nose while you hit the pedal to the metal... you do not have enough Power" (maybe it looses in translation - I want to point out that you get used to power very quickly and you do not feel like 300 or 400HP is a lot of power, once you had that power for a month or two. I thought about upgrading, but if I did I would go with the Toyo Lump and strap a charger on it I guess. The Honda K Engines are GREAT for sure, but in my point of view they are no match for a Porsche (much better match for an Elise - in my point of view this should have been the engine for the Elise/Exige branch in the first place - still I would hesitate to K Swap). Maybe I am just too old for things like that :-) It is just my humble opinion.
The motor in the 996 you just saw is for sale!!!!! $8,200. Message me on instagram if interested @baysidefabrication
I came for the Porsches but look at all those srt’s! 😍😍😍
I'm excited for this build!!! I always wanted a Porsche 911 turbo and going this route makes it actually seem attainable!
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 Nick super great guy, lavign ehhhh, hit n mis.
Nicks car is sweet as but I think yours looks better, cleaner lines. Keen to see what you do with it man get that Vtec Cranking!
996s are nice but man nicks car is super clean. Let’s put it this way if I could have afforded a 997 I would have bought one.

I would be interested to see a back to back dyno number for the intakes. My car came with it when I bought it so it means nothing to me plus or minus.
will do as well
What would this cost to swap it out? Where you guys located?

Have you ever thought of K-swapping your Elise?

You guys got me wanting a K-Swapped Porsche now.
I was wondering what the fit would be like, height wise. Looks pretty tight.
It is for sure. I think I have a few solutions. Excited to get to that point.
You're a skilled fabricator. You'll get it figured out. 👍
Putting in a GT3 engine would have make sense, but this... just tune a civic if thats what makes your heart beat.
Haha. Yeah gt3 motors are super easy to come by and would be very cost effective 🤡
What wheels are those?
What front splitter is on your car?
I made it out of abs then wrapped it in a carbon fiber wrap.
My guess was 260hp
