Really missing my mama and my "diddy" today. March 11th will be one year since my mama went to be with my diddy who's been in heaven since Sept 13, 2012, and to be with Jesus!!!
Beautiful song that I had heard on the way home from TN yesterday. I just lost my oldest brother almost 3 weeks ago to murder. I miss him so much and it hurts to hear songs like this about seeing him or them later, but to know that it will be in heaven is a blessing.
The drummer in this video Matt Blevins is my drummer at the church I work for and he is one of the most kind hearted, talent musicians, good Godly guy that i have ever had the honor of calling a band mate
I lost my Mama on Nov 14, 2015. We were extremely close and this week has been very hard. I heard this song on Enlighten on Sirius this morning and it was like Mama was telling me I would be fine and she was waiting for me on the shore. God Bless You!
This song has spoken to me so many times...my daddy and I had a relationship like this. I lost him 4 years ago and I know he would say exactly what this song says....be brave and strong, I'll be waiting for you to get home......our relationship was like that!
This is a very beautiful song. The Browder are very good friends of ours, who truly love the Lord and share Him with others, through songs and The word of God. God has and still is blessing them each and ev er y day.
This song has ministered to me many many times since I lost my daddy in January 2016. He was a rock in my life and I know He is saying I'll be ok...and he will see me there.
We just lost our dad back in December, just 4 days before Christmas. I found this song today and man, what a great song! Thank you for sharing this one!
In 2018 we loaty mom and grandma 6 mo ths apart to the same cancer. Now im a grandma to 3 amazing boys. Us kids are parents and grandparents now. We have 1 Uncle left.
Dear Matthew & Family, we spoke of your plans for this video months ago and so I have had the privilege of anticipating today's video release. I knew of the song since the debut of Time Machine and told you that "Waiting.." was the powerhouse track on the CD. It was and it is. I could go on and on about the color choices, the fades, and the jump cuts but I want your listeners to concentrate on how they FEEL after hearing this gorgeous song. Like the sincerity in your voice, the amazing and always honest facial expressions by Sonya, you decision to always include Tommy, and also the inclusion of the newest members of the band. But it was the "lift." The lift in the middle of the last chorus when we go from just piano to the glissando by one of the backbones of Southern Gospel, the pedal steel guitar. To some, this may simply mean that the other instruments just joined in. To me, it meant that despite the tragedies in life, God will "lift" up our hearts and surround us with His perfect love. Some may be critical of portraying a dying man's last breath. For those, I want you to know that this is reality, and so the emotions that the song brings out are also real, true, and visceral. This video touches hearts, will break hearts, and mend them before the credits roll. Finally, everyone should know that Veteran's Day is next Wednesday. Matt, as a Vietnam aeromedical evacuation medic, I want to personally thank you of the reminder about all of those who didn't make it to their earthly home, but found their way to a much better place. May God richly bless you, Sonya, Tommy and your entire family.
My friend, my ex husbands 2nd ex wife and my kid's step mother, she just passed away this morning from cancer. My dad, we just buried him a month ago. He died from a UTI. He beat cancer. He beat heart disease. He beat everything that came his way and a UTI took him out 😭
The first day of kindergarten a big yellow bus arrived Little Johnny hugged his daddy’s neck before he climbed inside Dad knew he had to tell him son it’s gonna be ok So He said some words to help him through the day Chorus You’ll be fine I will see you soon You are mine I’m so proud you You’ll do great go on be brave and strong I’ll be waiting for you to get home II Down the road John joined the army the big jet had a just arrived Now they’re standing at the airport dreading that goodbye His dad then reassured him with words he’d heard before And this time it would take him through a war III After months of fighting cancer His Final Day arrived Johnny was called in to try to say goodbye His dad could barely whisper but he just had to speak He said “son remember this before I leave”

The first day of kindergarten a big yellow bus arrived
Little Johnny hugged his daddy’s neck before he climbed inside
Dad knew he had to tell him son it’s gonna be ok
So He said some words to help him through the day
Chorus
You’ll be fine I will see you soon
You are mine I’m so proud you
You’ll do great go on be brave and strong
I’ll be waiting for you to get home
II
Down the road John joined the army the big jet had a just arrived
Now they’re standing at the airport dreading that goodbye
His dad then reassured him with words he’d heard before
And this time it would take him through a war
III
After months of fighting cancer His Final Day arrived
Johnny was called in to try to say goodbye
His dad could barely whisper but he just had to speak
He said “son remember this before I leave”

Have a good life little
Man my baby boom boom baby boy daddy Andre loves you.
Now if you added a 4th verse with Jesus telling us this as Christians that would be a great powerful ending.
Like a puppy in the window……
