My mom was also my best friend. I would talk to her several times a day. My dad died when I was 12 in a motorcycle accident so she was all I had. Losing her in 2017 still hurts to this day. People don't realize how lucky they are to still have their parents with them.
I'm currently losing my mom to the evil demon of dementia. She never drank, smoked or hurt anyone always heard both sides and always loved. My best friend is crazy feeding her bite my bite and introducing myself to her every day like we just met giving my last hugs and kisses to my best friend my rock my safe place and now it's my turn to act like it's easy and like she gave me the best u give her what i can. Please anyone that reads this name sure your loved ones know how special they are you never know when they'll be gone.
That's for sure. My mom had both dementia and Alzheimer's for 11 yrs. Put her on hospice Monday the 8th of April and she passed away April 9th. Miss my best friend, my mom.
I wrote a letter to each of my kids to be given to them when i pass just to reassure that each are special in different ways for them to know how much love for of them to remember i love them with my whole heart

😭😭 I sent this song to my two sons. They don't spend much time with me anymore. One has a wife and kids. The other goes out with his friends and girlfriend. He is 25 years old now my youngest. My health is deteriorating now I don't like to burden them with it. But they know I love them and gave my life for them. My journey in this world is almost over the pain my body is so unbearable but I thank God everyday for my two sons he gave me and bless me with. 💞

Please tell them how you feel. I lost my mom a year ago 11/10 from lung cancer and I swear I would trade anything to have her back. She was my world literally besides my 2 boys. I was in active addiction for 15 years and thank God I was Clean when I lost her and still am. Please talk them now. Because they will have regret and guilt for these days and things they have missed I promise. My brothers where the same way your oldest is and literally the night we lost my mom within the first hour after she died they said they had guilt and regret.

She was my protector when dad left us, I was 6 years old. I was 27 and married when she died of terminal cancer, she was 70 years old. I’m 65 now, she’s been gone nearly 40 years and I still miss her.

As adults we understand people come and go. But when it’s your mom it puts like in a different light. I lost my mom 4 years ago and she went out on her shield. My dad passed when I was 3 so I get it what you’re saying!! There’s a lot you realize once you’re in the position you feared getting to. Everything starts to make sense . My momma passed away February 7 1987, it seems like a thousand years since I’ve seen her n heard her voice. I’m 65 now n looking forward to the day we’re together forever n ever. Love her while you can because it’s a loneliness you never get over. She was n is a part of me . My elderly neighbor told me a few weeks after she passed “ your mother is part to of your soul n always be “ I didn’t understand that at the time but I sure do now . She’s with me always. My Mom went home to Jesus one year ago @ 102. I had the privilege to have her live with me for her last 2 years. She was amazing! Never complained, loved the Lord & her family. I feel so old now that she is gone & miss her every day. I still think about so many things I want to share with her. An only child I lost my mom to the battle of Dementia, 7 years ago. Sadly she didn't even know who I was in the end, but I still knew she was the mom who raised me, stood by me, cared for me, dropped everything to listen to me, would have walked through fire for me, aand loved me like none other. I know your pain. I couldn't get to my mother 700 miles away before she passed. I never got to say goodbye. The last time I got to talk to her was Christmas day 2021. She passed 2 days later.

I lost my mom on 1-9-21. She was 88. She died alone at hospital with covid. Broke my heart that she was alone. I miss her every day
I understand completely. I lost my mama on 5-4-18 to cancer. She passed at home surrounded by family, resting in her favorite recliner with my Dad and my sister at her side and me sitting at her feet. I still haven’t recovered from it.

Mine was my mom and dad , cause our dad left us for someone else , so she had to be both for her 4 children. So when she left this world it was hard to let her go. Never heard a Chris Janson song before(don't listen to country) but I recently got into fishing and I ordered a black bass pro hat(most styles sold out) and its a "Chris Janson" edition $10... so I go search him up thinking he was a fisherman and this song pops up and I instantly click it and it turned out to be a great song & I lost my mom back when I was in high school in 2014 to liver failure and to read these comments and be lead to this song was a just a way of my mom reminding me of that special unconditional love we shared... im wishing everyone who lost there mom or a loved one nothing but blessings and I hope god continues to bless us all!! always cherish your family and friends cause losing either one is always a hard goodBYE.

My mom passed on to Heaven in May 2020. Congestive heart failure at age 66, from complications of longstanding ITP and hemolytic anemia.
Was during covid, so we couldn’t be by her side during her short, less than 10hrs, in the er. I miss her daily, but helps to know Jesus was with her the whole time. Praise His holy name!
Without a doubt Jesus was there with her calling her home.
I lost my mom 45 yrs ago and when i had my daughter i swore i would tell her how much i love her everyday and how much she means to me. 40yrs later and we still see or talk everyday, i hang out with her and her friends alot and we say a special goodnight everynight. This is how i dreamed it would be. She has friends who dont talk to their moms but they call me momma cheryl and text or call me when they are sad or just need some momma love

Big tough ex con here and I cried like a little 5 year old boy seeing her laying there. I literally had to be pulled off of her by my ex girlfriend. I was with her for 11 years and my wife now for almost 30 and thank God the two strongest women living in my life are good friends.

I know where they're at so that helps but it's still hard when there are things you would've wanted to talk to them about or events that they would've wanted to be at. Lost my Mom 5/22/2006… pain was unbearable… I miss her dearly. But life sets you up for other anguish and you don’t realize it. I lost my father on 12/5/2019, only to get a call on New Year’s Eve that same year to learn my sisters 18 yo daughter (obviously my niece) was killed in a car crash. The pain on my sisters face and the screams of sorrow that came from her are forever planted in my memory. So much sorrow hoping the day of our reunion will equally as blissful. God willing we WILL see each other again!

I know your pain. I lost my mom 6/23/21. I was able to see her because her BP was normal so they said they classified that “stable condition” and we had to wait till regular visiting hours.Dr calls an hour and 20 minutes later saying nothing is working, it’s a matter of time. Rushed there, got to her room 27 minutes from the time of the called. Driving, parking & walking through the hospital, she passed 13 minutes before we got there. Worst pain ever. So sorry for your loss.

I just went and paid for my mom's grave plot, right beside my dad. On Monday we will have her funeral, and this is one of the songs I'm going to play for her. It's so appropriate to because every time I was leaving her house I would say "I Love You, bye Mom". This time will truly be the last Bye Mom. I truly thank this artist for writing a song that is so incredibly true and perfect for a lot of us

Laid mom to rest yesterday. Let the service proceed as it was....once everyone was outside mingling, I was able to play this song with her and shed my tears as was needed. She passed away Feb 03...timing and life of others had this service delayed. To the woman that loved me more than life itself....Fly high mom. XOXO

I lost my Mom on the 16th and she was brain dead when she reach ER and I didn't get to see her, haven't for years and I'm angry for not being able to get across country to be there during the last days hold her hand ,hug her ect. Still unable to get to her cremation ❤😢 I want to give up I never wanted to be where I am because she was very ill before I was strongly persuade to come her by boyfriend. His daughter n son inlaw ,they didn't care I wasn't ready, and for a validated reason. Top top it off daughter n son inlaw just basically dumped us here no word no nothing. Great people. My mother in law passed February 24, 2024. She was like a mom to me. She was the sweetest most selfless person. 2 weeks later MY mom passed away. I am still so devastated to this day. Goodbye moms. I love you and miss you both so very much. 😢 💔
I still have my mom! 💕 10 years ago on the beautiful Easter morning after church and breakfast mom and I prepared Easter dinner or family coming over. Mom started getting cold and tired. She asked me to lay down with her. Shortly after I heard the death rattle. My son my husband and I called 911 and started compressions. When paramedics came they hit her with the defibrillator. Mom coded again on the way to the hospital. And again at the hospital..it took a while but mom pulled through it all😊 we were blessed. 10 years later Mom fell and had bleeding on the brain. She got better eight months later she fell again! We start it all over again we are blessed mom has pulled through again but slowly deteriorating from vascular dementia! Mom lives with us and we thank God for every day that we have her! 🙏🙏💕 We should all hope to be half as good as our moms are to us 💕
Thank you for this loving song. My Mom died of cancer when I was a child, leaving me and my siblings to move away from each other and live with family in different states. I miss here everyday and I never got to say “Bye Mom” before she passed.

My mom hated country but ive always loved it and the night she passed i was sitting next to her listening to music and this was the song that was playing when i watched her take her last breath (she had stage 4 cancer) a couple months before she passed she said she didn't care about beating cancer she just wanted to get good enough ti sing with the choir again and as her only daughter i seen it was only right that i stepped uo to fill her spot and i continued to do so until a few months after she passed and the night that i was talking to the preacher and choir director about having to step down from it because i couldn't handle it on top of work and school when i didnt see a reason to be up there anymore and when i got in the car headed home it was the first time ive ever heard this song on the radio and i called over one of the ladies that i sang with who also lost her mom really young ❤❤❤❤❤

I lost my mother back in May due to complications from COVID she spent almost a month on a ventilator and fought as hard as she could to come back to us. I wish she’d had more time. Her first grand baby turned 2 last month, I wish they’d had more time together. Mother’s should be cherished. I hope all of you out there, if your mother is still alive, never miss an opportunity to see them. Mine was only 57, too young to leave her family behind 😞

My mom passed in 2016 and it really is one of the worse pain a person can go through. My dad passed less than 3 years later and it has been brutal losing both fairly close. Even though my parents are not living anymore, their love never dies. I keep it inside my heart and pass it onto my kids. My mom passed away unexpectedly 10 years ago when I was 28 years old. It still feels like it was yesterday. It is hard living in a world without my mother. I miss her everyday and always will. Saying goodbye was by far the hardest thing I ever had to do.
