I was fortunate enough to see him in Atlanta on this tour. I also had third row seats to Nashville show but Page cancelled that show and others due to illness. Still, the Atlanta show was one of the best, if not the best, I’ve ever seen. Thanks for the footage!
On the way to the show, i kept telling my uncle i really wanted to hear Who's To Blame. (he thought that was a weird choice) It blew my mind when they started the show with that. He just looked at me and went WHOA!!!
#07/19/2023--Now I see how Jimmy does it. The "rehearsal" is when the programming and tunes ups are being synched for those who insist they are playing their instruments, when they really are Knot! And from the expressions Jimmy has, the sound clowns cannot even get the timing right- I finally figured that one out--
###01/04/2024@9:26 PM EST---I would have to guess that Jimmy is mad/upset whenever he plays the guitar while smoking a cigarette--Jimmy is in some kind of distress. I would also say Jimmy is a perfectionist, especially when it comes to timing, as is very obvious here- Seems to me that a soundcheck is a good indication that there are those who are up to no good (not Jimmy, of course. Jimmy loathes collisions, such as this) That's what it feels like to me. A whole lotta chaos! Jimmy Page fired Grant in the early 80's , because he had signed Robert to a solo deal, and Robert was never to return, I read JP never really forgave PG for that. Who knows ?
@@vermontbred I wonder what was happening between the time Bonzo died and their official announcement to end the band on DEc 4th I believe? Was Jimmy and Grant scrambling for an acceptable drummer? Cozy Powell? I guess we'll never know and given the sensitivity of the situation.
@@dwandersgaming Jimmy went into the depth of hell, that's what happened. Led Zeppelin was his creation and it died with his brother John Bonham. He didn't pick up a guitar for a year or more. You should read up on all that. He was grieving for John, who died in his house, and heavily addicted to herion. It's a miracle he made it through. I wish Bonzo had.
@@elainemclaughlin9417 Jimmy loved Zeppelin of course. So much so that I don't think he wanted it to die. It's hard to read up on anything. We get a whole lotta bullshit from all media. Bonham died in September and it took until Dec 4th to make a final statement that was not exactly final in its form: We can't continue as we were. Why not say that the band is done forever?
Cool to see JP messing around with his pedalboard.
Best show of my life. And luckily, it's one i actually still remember very well!!

Saw the Firm in Atl in 81-2...my hero Jimmy was blistered. Just blistered.
So disappointing...
This is great! Thanks for posting.
Thanks so much for this!
The 90's -THE decade for great mullets. I Know this was 88, that just shows how ahead of their time these gentleman truly were.
Mullets were late 70s to maybe early 90s.
Grunge took over by ‘92 and mullets weren’t cool at all even as early as 1990.

Coke boog Jason
Is that Jason Bonham drumming?
Yep.
The Son of Thunder, himself.
Where's Peter Grant? He would've been an epic sweat hog in Arizona.

@@vermontbred actually plant fired him first because Grant was so out of his mind on coke he never answered the phone.
See the Peter Grant book.
