Had been living in London in 2010, playing the game felt like an exciting throwback. Had been working near Leicester Square, had had lunch somewhere in Soho, everything was there!
This is a fantastic video. I live near London and pre-pandemic used to visit it often for work and pleasure. I am thinking of getting Watch Dogs Legion just because it is based in London. I think you have convinced me to get it.
Thanks for this video!! Super cool to see how they have closely replicated landmarks in London. I got a kick out of playing Watch Dogs 2 because I've been there multiple times in real life and it was fun seeing all the similarities. Definitely going to pick Legion up for $20 because of your vid! Cheers!
Looking forward to second part. Great video. Ive lived in london all my life. Its a shame theres no Tottenham court road and center point. Unless ive missed it in the game.
No I think the closest you'll get is Camden or Islington bro, it would of been cool though especially to have Tottenham or even to go as far as Silverstreet. I'd be able to visit north Middlesex hospital where I was born omg either way this game brings me so much nostalgia.
I wonder how faithful Assassins Creed Syndicate was to Victorian London? I suspect far greater liberties were taken there. Great video thank you for sharing!
this is a really incredible video. I love london, and you've done an incredible job showing off not only the beauty of the city, but the game's beauty itself! haha, great job Dave!
I just came back from London and saw a video of WD Legion and it's incredible to see how many things you can recognize from real life. I've been in and near some buildings shown in the video. Incredible!
Wow mister you are truly underrated! I'd love to be able to visit London one day and just be able to go around it with you as our tour guide :D My friend just got the game yesterday and he talked to me about how cool it is to be able to feel London for someone far away like us from Indonesia just from a video game (It's VERY immersive with his new RTX 3090 card on his pc) You truly deserves more views for this
@@DavidAddis Try somewhere within the outer skirts of London and some other small details like that flower shop. The stuff that the game has that is very much tailored towards the locals. We all know about the big ones and the tourists sites, but we'd love to see a comparison that's a bit more.... vernacular ;)
Just about to start Watchdogs Legion for the first time on Xbox series X and this was a good video to check out London and compare some sites so well done on that👍👍& also good to see 'Basil Fawlty' is in the game at 6:33 😂
I'm curious about the Winston Churchill statue too. I mean...he actually appeared in Assassin's Creed so why couldn't Ubisoft get permission for a statue of him?
Ok I'm late but at 1st ngl I thought that the dedsec hq may of been Aldwych station xD idk it was abandoned but either way just watching this brings me nostalgia I love the game for the same reason. I miss London back when I use to go out with my mum or got there with my dad to the museums.
It kinda hurts the authenticity when angel and oxford street are unrecognizable, but they still did a cracking job don't get me wrong but the getaway is a more accurate video game version of london in my opinion
Even Project Gotham Racing 4 is more accurate. I've a feeling that might have used scans though, as every side street was there, even if you couldn't go down them. As was mentioned in the video, there's streets missing or merged together in this game.
I really love london but I have only play syndicate and legion to know how it was and how it is now. I hope that when all this problem whit the covid ends visit London. Such a beautiful city also scary if you play zombie mode
I wonder if they used the same team that recreated Washington DC for Division 2? Cause both are very accurate! I don't know London well but DC is almost engrained in my mind, It was surreal walking down streets and going in buildings I've been to or worked in. I'd be interested to know if it was the same team of modelers that did Division 2, as both games are very detailed and accurate.
This was amazing to see what they did with the game in terms of how things look from real life to a virtual city
Seems they did a better job with London then what they did with Chicago
@@dutchmangolinde5469 They sure did.

Great Video !! Thank you for this one, it's really interesting to see the opinion of a real citizen of london ! +1like

Exactly what I was wondering about. Having the video narrated from the locations really adds to this video - thanks
Great comparison! I look forward to the second part of this!
Cheers!
You deserve more views man! Great content! Watch dogs legion make me wanted to visit london 😭, maybe someday!
Thanks man. Do it!

Great video, thank you so much for the effort. Keep it up!
It's Star Roger cafes, because of Buck Rogers.. oh dear..
Loved the video, thanks.
Oh... because Star 'bucks' -> Buck Rogers?? That's subtle... but good!
Wow, great video! This is exactly what I was searching for and you did it in a very nice manner!
Props to you

Thanks man, appreciate the comment! I’m still thinking about what to put in Part 2, any requests?

Great video! looking forward to your Part 2 video! :D
This one excellent video made me subscriber
This video is amazing! Well done!
The whole statue of Winston Churchill was probably not a copyright issue as he was in assassin creed syndicate
This is an awesome video! Bought the game just now because of this
I managed to find my house in the game and they modeled it quite well! - Prince Charles.
Aren’t you a King now?
They should have put in a London tour, maybe open top bus with a tour guide. I mean, they did a bunch of stuff with AC Origins, why not here?
There is an ad on the in game radio about a Winston Churchill stakehouse.
I think Ubisoft did a really great job of replicating London.
Agreed!
The clock tower is one of my favorite locations
I'm curious about the Winston Churchill statue too. I mean...he actually appeared in Assassin's Creed so why couldn't Ubisoft get permission for a statue of him?
I was trying to get in touch with someone at Ubisoft so I could ask them personally! But no luck… yet 😁
The statue is less than 50 years old which means it still has copyright
Amazing video!
8:24 lol

Thanks a lot for this video!
Did you see the guy behind you at 8:23?😂
Pahaha! I did not! Guess he didn’t want to be on RUclips 🤣

London map is beautiful.
I like London.but I don't like weather.

3am on a Friday night is zombie mode in real London! I hope you get to visit soon 🤞

Wouldn’t it be very surprising to find your house in the game from real life?
great video
thank you
VERY GOOD VIDEO THANK YOU :)
Some of these I'm looking at the real one and am like "needs better graphics".
Greetings from Brazil.
im playing this right now, its a nice game
I wanna see bethnal green and whitechapel
A M A Z I N G!!!!!!
Top video
Cool! :D
Nice video, but I'd say that Project Gotham Racing 3 & 4 were more accurate when it came to London.
This game its amazing!!!
♥️
Starbucks + StarRogers = Buck Rogers
Ubisoft probably didn't use Sir Winston Churchill so that SJW won't get triggered for some stupid reason. Great video.
