Great video, thankyou :) Probably worth pointing out that going down the component/composite route, you are more likely to have a lot more lag than when using the Kaico cable.
Excellent vid. 15:09 The Halo 2 devs made the visuals too dark and it still shows here. What are the really dark areas of the game like using the Kaico HDMI adapter? Are certain areas on Q'zone level too dark to play? I tried a cheap £5 up-scaler converter (composite to HDMI) but the visuals were way to dark for Halo 2 but other games were mostly fine. Didn't want to buy a more expensive converter if the dark issues for H2 remained.
For Xbox the Keico is a no brainer, for GC and PS2 a lot less games were 480p/720p and 480i looks washed out these days. I only kept the progressive scan games for the most part and I hate 50hz gameplay so that restricts even further. Keico stuck with 2 consoles that did 480p pretty good, Xbox and Dreamcast.
Can never get emulators to feel the same as the original console. Haven't found an emulator that I liked. So I just got my old xbox's out tuned them up and have been buying games for them. PC was easy I just run Windos XP inside VMware and old PC games are dirt cheap.
Great video i wanted to play MOH fronline and Rising sun played them on PS2 back in the day. I never owned a orinal xbox so i have just ordered OG Xbox discounted from cex and a cheap hdmi Converter from ebay. If i decided retro gaming is for me i might purchase one of these cables 😊😊
Sure! I had a couple of Official Type S controllers 20 years ago, but I couldn't find them when I discovered the console again. This one I just bought from CEX.
I tried to play Jet set radio future with my elgato 4k x as well, mostly to plan a gameplay series but it wasn't showing it at all from my bundle disc, why?😢
Anyone with a modded xbox with a hdmi cable that works ? They work perfect with component analog but TV's are not doing component anymore, I bought 2 hdmi products on the HDMI only TV's ( 4K ) and some games work and others get lines or fuzz out like garbage. Any legit ones ? I think a HDTV with component used is far better for the choice.
@ really good for the money, occasional flicker. High quality visually. Really cool tbh I wasn’t expecting much but I played Jedi academy and its was super impressive
Best case scenario is u compare this to a 30 quid shielded component cable set on the same tv but thats a lot to spend on redundant shit so i get it. Good video though
Black is my favourite Xbox Shooter, congrats on being involved with it’s development 👍🏻👏🏻

Awesome video! Love how you compared the composite 480p to the Kaico Adapter HDMI 480P :)
I used one for a PS2 or Gamecube and those Consoles works with it too! So also highly recommend! :)
very helpful video thanks for sharing
Awesome video, thank you!
Dead or Alive games have always been top notch, great gameplay with above average graphics, better than Tekken IMO.

Cool video!
May I ask where you got that controller that's in the thumbnail?

My cable stopped working after a couple of years.
i dont get it , did the original xbox come with an hdmi output ?
Nope, it was a proprietary AV port unique to the (OG) Xbox.
