Hey everyone! Thanks so much for watching the video! The legend of Spyro stream ended, but you can watch the replay here! ruclips.net/user/liveIbUVelNKNOs?feature=sharea
if your seruous about "old people" games and consoles, you should consider an O.S.S.C. its a fairly affordable retro upscaler that also can make streaming easier ive heard.
As a 34 year old, this was a very amusing watch. Hope you enjoy your og xbox! I grew up with n64 and eventually a ps2 but one summer my uncle laoned me his xbox with like a dozen games. Great summer.
As a 25 year old, this brings back so many memories. I remember being 4-5 years old and my Dad brought home the original Xbox. I remember sneaking around playing Halo when I wasn’t allowed to. They had a ton of great games and it was fun coming home from school and playing with friends and family. Good times. 😊
I was born in 2005, but I love my original Xbox! Forza Motorsport and Mechassault are some of my favorites. Way too many hours on this system with my sister lol.
I'm only 18(2005er here) but I grew up with this old hunk of a console. So seeing someone of a similar age getting their first experience with this console is so fun to see! Your reaction to the startup screen is so validating for me cuz I thought that shit looked SICK as a kid. Hell I still do
Im 23 (June 2000 baby), I grew up with my older brothers original Xbox from 2002, and i still have it. So many great memories playing Halo 2 and many other games on it when i was 5-8 years old.
They make super cheap hdmi cables for the OG xbox. I suggest those instead. A lot less hassle then those av to hdmi boxes that need power and all that.
no offense them cheap cables are cheap for a reason, if you want to get away from composite/component cables you got 2 options, stellar hd+ (requires modding of xbox) or a xedusa (no modding, what i did). i would say chimeric cable is an option but the guy who makes them had a seizure and went from being "postponed" on his site to "closed", not to mention even when he was making them he makes 8-10 per week i think with a waitlist last known to be at least 3000. the only other option i would even suggest is like a pound cable but pound cables arent the best in terms of video quality and your almost better off using component.
Years ago, my mom asked was scrolling through Craigslist to find my 5 year old brother a console. She found an OG Xbox for $25 USD and asked me if it was a good deal or even worth it for how old it was (this was PS3/360 era). I told her to buy it as it wouldn’t hurt for $25 and maybe even I could enjoy some old games from my childhood. So we both decide to actually go pick it up and we pull in to a pretty rundown trailer park. We get to this ladies trailer with her and her 4 kids running around so I was like “it’s probably drawn on or doesn’t work but hey we’re already here so let’s do it.” Got everything packed up, got in the car and made our way home. I decided to set it up for my little brother and I go to power it on…. It shows an Xmenu that looks like the 360 dashboard. I was stumped for 5 seconds until I scrolled to the games and saw N64 emulator, PS2/Xbox and a ton of other stuff! We hit the holy grail on a modded OG Xbox. Me and my older cousin obviously kept it for ourselves and spent the next few weeks grinding Marvel vs Capcom 2.
I personally bought myself an OG Xbox when i started college, and its no joke my favorite console to play on. And this is coming from someone who just bought a refurbished PS2. I love Silent Hill 3 and Deus Ex to death, but they aren't Morrowind.
be sure you get the clock capacitor removed, or else it might get murdered and then it'll actually be bricked lol, great video btw! earned yourself a sub
Thanks man! Oh damn theres some hardware issue on these? Ah fuck now theres yet another thing I have to do in the process of this XD Tried searching it up a bit (Fun fact I guess, I now know this console is from 2003) so I know that it probably has the capacitor issue-any advice for getting it removed? I’ve never done any hardware-surgery before so I’m very anxious to accidentally mess something up haha, but thank you so much for telling me about this!
@@chemicalbakery6149 So honestly I have never owned an original xbox, I own a 360 slim and used to own a series S but thats it. But I do know that the clock capacitor on 1.0 to 1.5 models are pretty much death clocks on the og xbox and can corrode and ruin the motherboard if not dealt with but since your xbox is still booting its still alive! Theres actually a good video by MrMario2011 on how you can remove it as well as other guides on how you can remove it. RUclips is your best friend when it comes to things like this and the capacitor removal on the og xbox is simpler than you might think. All you really gotta do is disassemble and the xbox and snap off the capacitor on it and then reassemble it. Anyways I just wanted to give you a heads up because I really don't want the money you spent for it to go to waste. See you around :)
@@Bookybapoco Xbox 360 slim based? Oh alright, yeah again thanks for the info! I’ll have to do a bit of research before trying this (again, scared of messing anything up) but yeah, I want this thing to last awhile so I’ll be looking into it!
@@Absolucy I mean doing some research there isn't really any definitive answers on if there is or isn't a 1.5 model, I am certainly not an expert on the matter though because I don't actually own an original Xbox nor do I indulge myself in its community often so I might very well be wrong and if so my apologies. I just new about the clock capacitor issue on the OG models before 1.6 because I watched a few people talking about it here on YT and also had a friend talk about it with his Xbox.
Beautiful video, cool that the save was from 01/12/2002. Xbox came out 11/15/2001 so that guy must've got it for Christmas and played spyro when it first came out, absolutely crazy where the time goes lmao. Keep it up!
Some more recommendations for "only on xbox" games: Voodoo Vince, Midtown Madness 3, Rallysport Challenge, Nightcaster, Kingdom under Fire: The Crusaders, Thief: Deadly Shadows and (not an exclusive but) the best version of Burnout Revenge. I adore the OG Xbox, it is a little light on some genres, but overall it has a solid catalogue.
A little tip. Formatting means to erase absolutely everything off of the drive, even how the drive organizes files, in order to put a specific way to read and organize files onto the hard drive so you can actually use it with your system. It essentially is just a way to erase absolutely everything off of the drive and prepare it for a brand new system. Also, more than likely, your hard drive works, but your 360 is a model that cant read certain xbox original titles. I have an older slim model and it STILL cant play a lot of xbox original titles. Its frustrating because Microsoft and everyone else makes the 360 SEEM like its backwards compatible but its just like the ps3. only certain models are ACTUALLY backwards compatible.
Where do people get this idea from? Official Xbox 360 Slim HDDs always include the emulator. While third party hard drive sellers usually don't bother adding the partition, it's pretty trivial to restore the official emulator partition using PC tools.
@@jtchoi2003 I have an Xbox 360 slim with the official Microsoft hard drive and it refuses to boot burnout revenge and star wars episode 3 revenge of the sith, both games that state that they are backwards compatible. Microsoft gives me an error to try another 360 that's compatible.
AND not even, because with those models of ps3, you could play pretty much everything aside from a few specific games, where as with 360, if it aint on the list, you cant play the disk.
Some great games to play on the OG Xbox are: Psi-Ops The Mindgate Conspiracy, Ninja Gaiden/Ninja Gaiden Black, Knights of the Old Republic, I heard Jet Set Radio Future music in your video so I guess you know about JSRF, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Sudeki, Fable, Jade Empire, Bloodrayne, Bloodrayne 2, Silent Hill 4 The Room, The Chronicles of Riddick, Enter the Matrix, The Prince of Persia games, Dead or Alive Ultimate, Thief Deadly Shadows, The Suffering. Hope this helps you.
Oh how could I forget Indiana Jones? So, there is Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, also, X2: Wolverine's Revenge is pretty cool as well. Shenmue 2, Buffy the vampire slayer, Aeon Flux, Beyond Good & Evil, Blinx... so many cool games on the OG Xbox.
The OG Xbox is a great console. I had one back in the day but unfortunately had to sell it. I recently purchased another one off of Facebook marketplace with two controllers and 15 games and I love it just as much as I did back in the day. It's cool to see the younger generations playing these older consoles and enjoying them as much as I did when I first got mine when I was about your age. I was 20 when it first came out back in 2001. I think I first got mine back in 2003 or 04. Never be embarrassed to like what u like to play. I bought the Spyro trilogy for my PS4 even tho I never played them back in the day on the PS2. I'm 42 and I love the Lego games. I have a bunch of them for all my consoles whether it's my PS2 PS3 or my PS4.
The bean box! Editing is much better, and your journey for old box is cool to see ^^ Also love art you made for ppl around, old papa raptor or chameleon clerk lol xD
I was born in 2001. I got my OG Xbox in 2006 with Fable, Halo 1 & 2. Watching this brought me so much nostalgia lmao. I really sometimes miss that nuclear weapon of a console. Hope you enjoy it! Mine is still (somehow) working even in 2024.
You were honestly better off getting an OG Xbox for those games anyway, I tried to use the backwards compatibility on my 360 and only a handful of games work, and an even smaller percentage of that small subset works actually good. Lots of games are just outright broken on it. It’s also super laggy
The OG xbox actually has alot to offer, great exclusives, it's pretty affordable to collect for, mod capabilies are awesome too. Jsrf, doa2 and 3 and the halo games are personal favorites
As a 27 yr old this video scares me 😂😂, but I will say it's wholesome seeing most the comments welcoming you to a blast from the past with the original xbox.
@andrewmah2962 I never had one either and still don't. It's just some of the descriptions or knowledge that got me 🤣😂🤣 but I'd have to rewatch to find specifics.
Thankfully I lucked on with the original Xbox. I once found that console at a local Charity Shop here in Australia. It had no controllers, but it did have the power cord and AV cable with it. What really sealed the deal was its price. It only cost $8AU! I checked it out upon bringing it home, and it worked perfectly. So I was lucky to find it for a low price!
Some of my fav og xbox games are Spiderman 1 and 2 mercenaries playground of destruction nascar 2006 crash tag team racing sonic riders and of course legend of spyro new begining
Wait im Gen Z and i know about AV cables, must be a Mexico thing, it's cool to see someone discover the og xbox, i grew up with a 360 on the late 2000s, but i have go back on the OG xbox games that are playable on series x, for me to recommend games it will depend on how you feel on star wars ,if you like it i recommend Battlefront 2, Knights of the old republic and republic commando, if want a fun sport game try Tony Hawk pro skater 3 or 4, try one of the best games of all time spongebob battle for bikini bottom (no ironic it is good af) and if you are in to red head chicks i recommend bloodrayne, alongside of curse your thyphical games like halo, mortal kombat and gta (which the og xbox has the best entries of each series).
Fun video. All that to play an old game. Well, hopefully you're gonna have a few more adventures now that you got the og Xbox. Here's a few suggestions: - Get your friend that also has an Xbox, get a network switch, and connect the two Xboxes to play some multi-player games. - go on a search for some games, and make a video about it. The original Xbox has a ton of interesting games, many of which aren't really talked about. - Mod your Xbox. It opens up a whole new world. Emulators, online gaming, custom themes, copying your games to the hard drive, XBMC, etc. Have fun!
Thanks so much dude! -Lots of people have been suggesting the online play, so I might loo into it! Just need to find something that’d be good for online. Though, of course, since the friend is nearby me we are able to play games couch co-op as well! -Currently I’ve gotten a few games not brought up in the video, as I mention at the end I went on a trip and got the SEGA GT 2002/Jet-Set Radio future disc amongst some other games, I’ll be making a video about the trip and the mini-haul will be mentioned! But, now that you mention it, dedicated videos about the collection would be pretty cool! -Modding is another thing I’ll have to look into, especially since I have no experience, but a lot of the features seem cool, thanks!
I had a Gamecube and later a PS2 during this generation, but my neighbour had an Xbox and I was so jealous. It was an absolute beast of a machine for the time. Playing Halo online was a world altering experience for someone who grew up with terribly slow dial up internet. Enjoy the console man, there's a lot of great games for it and the homebrew scene is next level.
Hi, I enjoyed your video, I’m 44 and I had the OG XBox when it came out, you made me remember the times I played it with my little nephew, Halo was my favorite game, I recommend you to find the Star Wars Starfighter (the one with the Naboo yellow fighter), Dead or Alive 3, The Simpsons, Hit & Run, Max Payne, Medal of Honor. Make some videos if you play them. Greetings from Germany
Get it fixed because there is a battery inside that will eventually destroy it so i would remove it because it probally is fixing to or has exploded and is corroding the inside
95% sure you got scammed by the ebay seller. Those are HDDs, with only the plastic shell being proprietary. So either someone swapped the internal HDD with garbage or sold you a broken drive. RIP
This video gives me nostalgia for when I was younger and bought my first like non current retro console (it was an N64). Was super enjoyable to discover old hardware and stuff! Have fun !
I'll always think of the OG xbox as the greatest console. Especially as a pc gamer, who remembers the xbox being amazing for modding, on top of having an epic library of games, nothing else is as good. I'd definitely recommend Fusion Frenzy, Fable, Sega Gt 2002 and Jet Set Radio Future. GTA Vice city was better on xbox than anything else too. What a great console.
Good video! The Original Xbox is such a wonderful and unique console and one of the ones I've personally put the most time into. It has a lot of great exclusives and, for most cross platform games, the best version of said games. Definitely consider modding it too as it's an emulation powerhouse and has lots of good homebrew applications!
TYSM! The system is very promising for what I’ve seen, and I’m excited to check out more stuff from it! Oohh, I’ve never modded any of my systems before (As I mention in the video I’ve been procrastinating modding my 2DS XD) but I have heard some great stuff about its modding scene, while I was searching up og xbox content I saw a ton of cool mods! Any recommendations for homebrew stuff on it?
@@chemicalbakery6149 The number 1 thing that I can think of for homebrew is probably the multitude of emulators that have been made. There's also some cool ports of games like Doom, Quake and SM64. And then there's Insignia, which is a replacement for the OG Xbox Live.
@@chemicalbakery6149There's this thing called Insignia, basically what Insignia does is it brings back the original Xbox Live service, they already have tons of games supported (even though they don't have Halo 2 support yet), so I'd recommend modding your console if you want to play on Insignia, I'd also recommend picking up games that are supported by Insignia.
As a 24 years old who was born in 99. When you said "old people" I felt offended. And now that I think about it, what are people who were born in the early 90's or late 80's? Fossils? Sarcasm aside, you need to get Halos 1 - 2 on the og xbox. Those games defined my childhood growing up in the early 2000's. And please get Simpsons hit & Run. It's basically gta for kids, but holy shit is that game so fun to play. I would like more content from you, if you want to upload that is.
As of speaking I have checked to see if you live streamed Halo Combat Evolved. And you did... except the anniversary version. Which is disliked by a majority of the Halo community, but I can only speak for myself. The reason why the anniversary version is disliked by a majority of the Halo fanbase, is mainly because it ruins the atmosphere and tone of the original. Everything is too bright and oversaturated. And the flood mission 343 guilty spark, ruins the introduction of the flood. For Halo 2 Anniversary, they did a pretty nice job with it. However I dislike the fact they completely removed blow me away by Breaking Benjamin. When you hear that song for the first time in the original Halo 2 game, you'll fucking go crazy... in a good way. Halo 2 is just as good, if not better than Halo 1 aka Halo Combat Evolved. I hope you enjoy the Halo series and I recommend to go in blind. You'll want to experience everything for the first time blind. And with that being said, welcome to the Halo Universe!
i dunno if you've been told this in the past im pretty sure you have i didnt do a big check of the comment lol, you should probally open up that xbox and remove the clock compactor before the clock compactor leaks and causes problems inside the console itself
Hey bro, glad that you didn't buy that 3rd party controller, because it doesn't register the input well, feels light and cheap. I bought two pieces before, but at the end I just buying the another new Old Stock third party controller from local game store, which performs better than that previous crappy controller that I bought
Edit: Nvm I saw a few comments on it already. But I would advise to also check on your disc drive as those can hit the fritz too. Pretty good video btw, I grew up with 6th gen consoles and as a 21 year old with a brother around your same age, it's cool seeing a younger generation look into these consoles. I'm unsure if a commenter has addressed this yet, but I'd check what version of OG Xbox you have as there is an issue with the clock capacitor in specific variants. If you can, look up a guide and see what version it is. Ask your dad or someone good with electronics to help get it out of there. You'd have to set the clock every time you start it up, but it's better than having your OG Xbox destroyed internally.
Pls pls check when this Xbox was made it’s written at the back of it if it’s before 2004 you can google it then remove the time capacitor it leaks and destroys the whole system and could cause a fire
Ik you may already know this but depending on the version of the og Xbox you have, you will have to remove a component inside which is the clock capicator as if your version is not 1.6 than all previous versions of said original Xbox the clock capicator is cheap asf and has the inevitable thing of it leaking acid onto your motherboard and kill it. I recommend doing some research to see what version you have because those after 1.6 don't need to be clock capacitor to be removed but all before that they leak acid and kill your console so remove asap
Great video, keep up the great content. The og Xbox is one of my favorite consoles. I got a refurbished one couple years ago and have been collecting for it, the games are not too expensive.
One of the best things with the Original Xbox is that most of the multiplatform games are their very best on there. Best graphics, resolution (Some games up to 1080i) and performance. If you got an Original Xbox then why not buy versions of games for that? Only games that I recommend you get GameCube versions are Sonic Heroes, Mega Collection (For superior presentation), Riders, Shadow the Hedgehog and Pac-Man World 2 (Too much screen tearing on Xbox). Graphics and performance always matter.
I’m 32. I got an Xbox for my 13th birthday in May 2004. Seeing you struggle with composite cables and kinda assume optical media can store user created data made me smile.
Oh my OG Xbox recommendations: Halo 1 and 2 are mandatory as is Ninja Gaiden (preferably Black but the OG release is still good) and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Dead or Alive Ultimate. For something more lighthearted I’d go for Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, Burnout 3/Burnout Revenge, Crazy Taxi 3, SSX Tricky and SSX 3 or even Amped 1 and 2. For some cool different stuff I’d definitely give Phantom Dust, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Breakdown or Full Spectrum Warrior a try. For some solid games at cheap prices I’d look to Crimson Skies, Forza Motorsport, Project Gotham Racing 1 and 2 and Mech Assault 1 and 2. Edit: How could I forget Blinx the Timesweeper 1 and 2. Since you like mascot platformers I’d definitely give it a try. Developed by some ex-Sonic Team devs and at one point was positioned to be the Xbox’s equivalent to Jak/Ratchet. Cool games with unique mechanics.
As a 28 year old, the Xbox was my go to for gaming and still is to this day, vastly preferring it over my Xbox one S, even modded and hacked mine to be more modern and region free. During this time, you'll notice a lot of mascot games, you're already familiar with Spyro and Crash. I'd recommend Blinx the time sweeper, Conker's live and reloaded, and Voodoo Vince for platformers. For oddball games, I'd recommend Jade Empire, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Metal Wolf Chaos (though you'd have to jump through a bunch of hoops for it since it's a Japanese only game, but it is Meme gold), The Thing, Apex (if you're into racing games, and Auto Modelista (simply because of its charm.
Dead or Alive games are great if you like fighting. Halo of course. Conker. MechAssault games. Oh shit, Timesplitters: Future Perfect is amazing. Ninja Gaiden is great but notoriously difficult. Riddick. Doom 3. Jedi Knight games. SSX 3. Fable. Prince of Persia games.
I love how i was looking at several og xboxs on ebay and this poped up I haven’t had one sense 2005 😂 that and those component cables make a difference that or the pound hdmi og xbox cable
I was gonna get a PS2 but remembered I've owned & sold them back to back but never a OG Xbox, plus I see how cheap the console & games are that I could play on PS2 & Gamecube
The original xbox is a fantastic console. Easily my favourite console of all time. Microsoft was all in on new ips and taking risks. They ended up losing tons of money on the system, but it helped set them up for the 360.
Got recommended this today. Great video. I bought an original xbox from a broken console pile in a store and it works. I just need to buy an adapter for my madcatz wireless controller i've had for years and then i'm set to game.
There is something i should warn you about with the og xbox that being the capacitor will leak acid on the motherbord so make sure you swap them out if you want your xbox to work in the long run
I’ve been collecting for the original Xbox for the summer, and I’ve gotten an addiction to it. So far I’m at about 100 games, and I’m loving it. I’ve got some nostalgia for that console, since my dad had it when I was little, and I remember getting scared by the startup screen. OG Xbox games to recommend is obviously the Halo series. But I think you’d enjoy playing something like BLINX the Timesweeper, or Voodoo Vince. Also, the Duke Xbox controller is GOATED, that old guys wrong. Small controller for small pp.
Awesome! It’s so strange to me, that the 6th gen doesn’t have many collectors (besides the GameCube) but for the games I’ve bought for it they seem to be really well priced. And I mean, none of them are dated so you just got this fairly cheap library with tons of hidden gems! (Also, the aesthetic of the disc cases look so cool lined up together im sure a larger collection would look amazing!) I’ve played Blinx’s Xbox one version a few months ago on gamepass, it’s a strange game but super interesting! Voodoo vince was rereleased too, but I think I might want to try it on OG hardware now that I have it! Someone else said the duke is underrated, which makes me even more interested to check it out. The duke is very on brand for the original Xbox, big, powerful, and laser focussed on branding. I’d love to do a comparison whenever I get my hands on it!
I absolutely love the commentary throughout this video, you are so damn funny. Allllll this for Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning Also, always validating to come across a fellow artist with insomnia 😅
Hey I'm a Huge Fan of the Legend of spyro trilogy and I Too have an OG Xbox. My Favorite games for that are Predator Concrete Jungle, Unreal CHampionship 1 and 2, Godzilla DAMM and Save the earth, Peter Jackson's King Kong, MK Deception and Armageddon
please take note did you open it up there’s a capacitor that can leak I don’t remember what it’s called but I had an original Xbox and it the capacitor was leaking
My friend gave me his OG Xbox he spilt milk on it and didn’t use it for 2 years so I asked him for it and he let me have it cleaned it and looked for any problems and it was mine
Seeing this in my reccomended then watching it and seeing the livestream next to it in the reccomended videos was so funny lol, also I havent yet got a chance to play it but SSX tricky is a good one to get from what ive seen, also star wars revenge of the sith is a fun one, and if youre looking for a funny game to add to your collection, 50 Cent Bulletproof
As a 27 year old, I never grew up with the Original Xbox as I had a PS2. It is fascinating to see how the younger generation reacts to early 2000s tech, Though at the same time, it makes me feel old lol.
As someone who owns a Gamecube I'm actually quite familiar with the plugs that came with the original Xbox. Initially my Gamecube came with an Xbox 360 HDMI adapter, but then it broke. But because both the sony TV I used to play it on as well as the TV I use in my room now has compatibility with these wires, the Gamecube still worked. Why did I get a Gamecube you may ask.... I wanted to give Shadow The Hedgehog a go..
Since then the collection has slightly grown to also include the video game adaptation of Blue Sky's Robots, Star Wars Bounty Hunter and my favourite GameCube game, F-Zero GX. I hope your Xbox (2006) games collection grows soon, I only have the Xbox One X
@@GhostRoasterDrankAllTheMilk For sure! As I mention around the end-I was able to pick up some games while editing, and I’m very excited to extend this collection! Damn blue sky’s robots? Is the game good? Curious, since licensed games were all over the place at that time XD The Xbox one is still goated, but a lot of that comes from its ability to play older games imo haha (oh, and small correction the original xbox is from 2001, the game I got for it is from 2006)
I remember watching this video when it came out about a month or so when it released. Now here it is 10 months old and now I own an original Xbox for $10 crazy how that can be
Remove the clock capacitor by the sounds of it, it has already burst where you already had to reset the time upon first boot up its a known issue with the og Xbox.
Anyone know of any xbox games to collect I can recommend one.Its an xbox exclusive game from a japanese company that no longer exists. that means this game is out of print and will remain out of print until a company buys the license.that will never happen. the game is rare and its becoming harder to find a complete copy.
As a 50 year old I have loads of fun with my OG XBOX which I bought brand new when it first came out and a few years ago I got it modded with over 35,000 games...so fun and more fun for another 50 and probably more if God will it. Enjoy mate. Good times. I quote enjoyed this. Legend
When it came to consoles around that area up until the Wii, PS3, Xbox360, if you had a disc in your console, the game was automatically played. so if you wanted to mess with the console's settings, you needed to turn on the console without a disc inside of it.
As a south Asian Caribbean I was born in 2006 I first got a ps2 and it was so good and I missed the ps2 I actually nutted how beautiful the ps2 games it was good memories but I do have a Xbox series s I play old school Xbox games like the Star Wars game it was fun during my childhood I saw a trailer destroy all human game which I didn’t played it during my childhood which gives me the chills when I saw the alien look fricking cool but I bought the original destroy all human on Xbox series s which I started to nutted and haveing flashbacks in Vietnam haveing seizure haveing constipation haveing autism that game was fun as fuck

no offense them cheap cables are cheap for a reason, if you want to get away from composite/component cables you got 2 options, stellar hd+ (requires modding of xbox) or a xedusa (no modding, what i did). i would say chimeric cable is an option but the guy who makes them had a seizure and went from being "postponed" on his site to "closed", not to mention even when he was making them he makes 8-10 per week i think with a waitlist last known to be at least 3000. the only other option i would even suggest is like a pound cable but pound cables arent the best in terms of video quality and your almost better off using component.
Lord seeing this at 27. Seeing a later generations experience and reaction is wild.
We get to this ladies trailer with her and her 4 kids running around so I was like “it’s probably drawn on or doesn’t work but hey we’re already here so let’s do it.”
Got everything packed up, got in the car and made our way home.
How in the god damned hell did you have a 360 without a fudging harddrive,,,,
Not every 360 came bundled with one like the 360 arcade and some slim models
@@mr.curtis6730Yeah some slims shipped with internal emmc instead, the matte ones are typically the emmc ones
be sure you get the clock capacitor removed, or else it might get murdered and then it'll actually be bricked lol, great video btw! earned yourself a sub
Thanks man!
Oh damn theres some hardware issue on these? Ah fuck now theres yet another thing I have to do in the process of this XD
Tried searching it up a bit (Fun fact I guess, I now know this console is from 2003) so I know that it probably has the capacitor issue-any advice for getting it removed?
@@Bookybapoco small note: 1.5 model doesn't exist.
Yessir! Can't beat that OG Xbox boot animation lol. Bout took me out when I saw the placement of the AV cables 😂😂😂😂😂😂
THAT was hilarious
I agree 😂
Beautiful video, cool that the save was from 01/12/2002. Xbox came out 11/15/2001 so that guy must've got it for Christmas and played spyro when it first came out, absolutely crazy where the time goes lmao. Keep it up!
Some more recommendations for "only on xbox" games: Voodoo Vince, Midtown Madness 3, Rallysport Challenge, Nightcaster, Kingdom under Fire: The Crusaders, Thief: Deadly Shadows and (not an exclusive but) the best version of Burnout Revenge. I adore the OG Xbox, it is a little light on some genres, but overall it has a solid catalogue.
your art style is freaking adorable
Some great games to play on the OG Xbox are:
Psi-Ops The Mindgate Conspiracy, Ninja Gaiden/Ninja Gaiden Black, Knights of the Old Republic, I heard Jet Set Radio Future music in your video so I guess you know about JSRF, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Sudeki, Fable, Jade Empire, Bloodrayne, Bloodrayne 2, Silent Hill 4 The Room, The Chronicles of Riddick, Enter the Matrix, The Prince of Persia games, Dead or Alive Ultimate, Thief Deadly Shadows, The Suffering.
Editing is much better, and your journey for old box is cool to see ^^
Also love art you made for ppl around, old papa raptor or chameleon clerk lol xD
Haha, I thought you’d enjoy the background characters XD
Happy you liked the video!
Hooking Up rca cables to e Vesa wall mount must be the werdest thing in a Long Time.
I grew up with the OG Xbox, my first game was Halo CE with my dad. It's a dream of mine to own one with as many of my childhood classics I can find
As a 27 yr old this video scares me 😂😂, but I will say it's wholesome seeing most the comments welcoming you to a blast from the past with the original xbox.
I am 37 and have never had an original Xbox. I started with Xbox 360.
21:12 this made me feel funny
I got an OG X Box last year. I have spent a lot of time on it. Great system! Get Knights of the Old Republic, Morrowind GOTY edition. No brainer.
Here's a few suggestions:
- Get your friend that also has an Xbox, get a network switch, and connect the two Xboxes to play some multi-player games.
Made me chuckle, good video 👍🏻
Lovely Video! Was a very nice watch, hope your Spyro game was fun! :D
@@chemicalbakery6149Mod your 2DS! It's essential.
Wether you like the movie or not Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon on O.G Xbox and the game "Gun" are underrated masterpieces.
I still have my original Xbox and its still my favorite conceal
i dunno if you've been told this in the past im pretty sure you have i didnt do a big check of the comment lol, you should probally open up that xbox and remove the clock compactor before the clock compactor leaks and causes problems inside the console itself
Born in 2006?
Goddamn i have cheese in the Back of my fridge thats older.
😉
Hey bro, glad that you didn't buy that 3rd party controller, because it doesn't register the input well, feels light and cheap. I bought two pieces before, but at the end I just buying the another new Old Stock third party controller from local game store, which performs better than that previous crappy controller that I bought
Definitely a Spyro the dragon: A new begining for the original xbox moment.
Get Component cables for them. It'll really bring your experience to the next level.
So there's a game called "sneakers" on OG Xbox 🎮🐭 perhaps you should try
Conker Live and reloaded of course
I love how i was looking at several og xboxs on ebay and this poped up I haven’t had one sense 2005 😂 that and those component cables make a difference that or the pound hdmi og xbox cable
Tried clearing cache?
I was gonna get a PS2 but remembered I've owned & sold them back to back but never a OG Xbox, plus I see how cheap the console & games are that I could play on PS2 & Gamecube
Hop On Breakdown (2004)
The original xbox is a fantastic console. Easily my favourite console of all time. Microsoft was all in on new ips and taking risks. They ended up losing tons of money on the system, but it helped set them up for the 360.
Ngl I got this video recommended and I immediately subscribed after finishing, nice video👍 I think I’ll be sure to watch more streams and other vids
As a 43 year old......😅😅Just setup my original xbox I brought 20 years ago, set it up all excited and can't find the controllers...
Got recommended this today. Great video. I bought an original xbox from a broken console pile in a store and it works. I just need to buy an adapter for my madcatz wireless controller i've had for years and then i'm set to game.
dude you should remove the clock capacitor from that if you want a working xbox
(Also, the aesthetic of the disc cases look so cool lined up together im sure a larger collection would look amazing!)
I’ve played Blinx’s Xbox one version a few months ago on gamepass, it’s a strange game but super interesting!
Allllll this for Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning
Also, always validating to come across a fellow artist with insomnia 😅
Hey I'm a Huge Fan of the Legend of spyro trilogy and I Too have an OG Xbox. My Favorite games for that are Predator Concrete Jungle, Unreal CHampionship 1 and 2, Godzilla DAMM and Save the earth, Peter Jackson's King Kong, MK Deception and Armageddon
please take note did you open it up there’s a capacitor that can leak I don’t remember what it’s called but I had an original Xbox and it the capacitor was leaking
Be careful, don't turn into the Scott The Woz of original Xboxes and get 9 more
Watch me become the “stupid microsoft games” guy
Doesn’t have quite the same ring to it tho
Bro you BETTER get a copy of the Simpson Hit & Run. That game is the fucking GOAT
Scarface the world is yours is backwards compatible too on xbox 360 and the ps3
As a 27 year old, I never grew up with the Original Xbox as I had a PS2. It is fascinating to see how the younger generation reacts to early 2000s tech, Though at the same time, it makes me feel old lol.
“It was me Chemical, I bought your copy of Happy Feet for the Nintendo DS. How else would I eventually get you to play Shrek on Xbox?”
- Reverse Flash
As someone who owns a Gamecube I'm actually quite familiar with the plugs that came with the original Xbox. Initially my Gamecube came with an Xbox 360 HDMI adapter, but then it broke. But because both the sony TV I used to play it on as well as the TV I use in my room now has compatibility with these wires, the Gamecube still worked. Why did I get a Gamecube you may ask....
I wanted to give Shadow The Hedgehog a go..
Ohh! Fascinating! I see we both got these for weird platformers XD
Curious, since licensed games were all over the place at that time XD
The Xbox one is still goated, but a lot of that comes from its ability to play older games imo haha (oh, and small correction the original xbox is from 2001, the game I got for it is from 2006)
What I played of Robots so far, its pretty good.
I remember watching this video when it came out about a month or so when it released. Now here it is 10 months old and now I own an original Xbox for $10 crazy how that can be
I graduated high school 3 YEARS BEFORE YOU WERE BORN. Damn I'm old.
Remove the clock capacitor by the sounds of it, it has already burst where you already had to reset the time upon first boot up its a known issue with the og Xbox.
You’re excitement for the original Xbox brings me joy 😄
Make sure to buy component cables! So you'd be able to play at 480p and 720p, instead of only 480i.
Anyone know of any xbox games to collect I can recommend one.Its an xbox exclusive game from a japanese company that no longer exists. that means this game is out of print and will remain out of print until a company buys the license.that will never happen. the game is rare and its becoming harder to find a complete copy.
would be fun to watch you live stream the godfather for the og xbox
You should get halo 2. You can play online through a fanmade revival of og xbox live
Wait are you maste rcheif like that is rlly cool man
