Maine October 2021 - Eastbrook and Acadia National Park

October 20-24, 2021.
Stayed at a vrbo on Lewis Street in Eastbrook, ME.
First day: Drive up, visit with Aunt Denise, Uncle Jim, Joan and baby Aaron. Arrival at cabin, mac and cheese dinner.
Second day: Breakfast at lake house. Drive to Acadia National Park and hike up North Ridge Trail of Cadillac Mountain. Spent time atop the mountain, the drive to Jordan Pond. Went into Bar Harbor and walked around the town, getting lunch at Route 66 diner, beer at Fogtown Brewing, chocolate and fudge at the shops, ice cream at Mount Desert Ice Cream (where Obama ate!). Shopped the small stores before heading home and watching some tv.
Third day: Pancake breakfast, rainy morning. Drive to Schoodic Peninsula, where we took our time exploring the area, including Frazier's Point, Raven's Nest, Schoodic Point and Blueberry Hill. Then drove into Ellsworth for lunch at Airline Brewing Compant, then to go to the grocery store, LL Bean and got pie at Helen's. Went home, went on kayak ride, had pie, played games.
Fourth day: Mom and Dad's anniversary. Family reunion at the lake house, and celebration of Dad's birthday. Sunset kayak ride, dinner and games.
Fifth day: Pancake breakfast and drive back home.
